and is honored to serve his community of Southern Maine as a dentist. Wes is passionate about people, learning their stories, and sharing the connection of oral health to systemic health. He was drawn to dentistry because everyone, young and old, needs oral care and he loves working with children and their parents.
Dr. Mills left Maine to study (and play in the mountains) of Colorado where he obtained bachelor's degrees in Business Management and Global Studies. Upon graduation, Wes worked with incarcerated youth in Denver, mentoring young men caught in the criminal justice system. He loved working with wayward youth in the city but wanted a hard skill he could use to change the lives of others. Eventually his passion for medicine and learning drove him back to Maine where he attended University of New Englands College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Mills is a member of the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, Academy of General Dentists, and Seattle Study Club. He is passionate about learning, staying up-to-date on the current scientific literature, and attending continuing education courses which broaden his scope of practice.
Dr. Wesley W Mills grew up in Kennebunk, Maine. He attended undergrad in Denver, Colorado and returned to Maine to get his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at UNE. Wes has spent time learning dentistry and patient care in a number of settings including Caring Hands of Maine, a non-profit dental office in Ellsworth, ME. Dr. Mills focuses on holistic oral health for the whole family.

These folks have provided me with expert care for years. They are kind and friendly, and the office atmosphere is bright and comfortable. I was recently in for emergency care with a cracked molar. The pain was diagnosed on Tuesday and the problem was gone on Wednesday. Gratitude and thanks to this awesome team!

Location is much more convenient for me than my former dental care provider's. Cleaning by Ashle was thorough, expeditious, and as comfortable as that process can be in the hands of a skilled dental hygienist. Examination and briefing by Dr. Mills were likewise thorough and informative. Overall, an auspicious beginning to a new professional relationship. After my second appointment, everything that I wrote after the first still applies.

I'd been going to a dentist for over 10 yrs and it was hard for me to change, but we moved to Maine and Smilecraft was recommended to us. I'm not one who enjoys visiting the dentist, but I'll admit I'm absolutely impressed by Dr. Mills and the staff! Everyone is very professional, yet personable. Love the music, too! The office is very dilligent to communicate reminders and follow ups. And Diane at the front desk is great at making you feel comfortable. She's so friendly and helpful. I can check off "find a new dentist" off my list!

From start (Office Coordinator Dianne) to finish, my Smilecraft Dental experience was superb. Ashlee the hygienist was obviously well-schooled and efficient. She fully explained each step of the cleaning. Dr. Wes is also well-credentialed, and a thorough and kind man. I felt very confident in his care. I am also especially pleased to note that his young(er) age should allow him to be around to take care of me and my family for years.
