Andrew Miller, DDS hails from a large family in the Midwest. After finishing an undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Nebraska, he attended the Medical Center's College of Dentistry and received his doctorate of Dental Surgery.
For three years, he worked in a cosmetic practice with an emphasis on full mouth rehabilitation in Littleton, CO. In 2003 he transitioned to SmileCOS Dentistry in Colorado Springs to work in a family practice that emphasized Orthodontics and TMJ Disorders.
Dr. Darquea grew up in Quito, Ecuador and became a U.S. citizen in 2012. He is a bilingual dentist, fluent in both Spanish and English. Dr. Darquea graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Bioinformatics and a minor in Computer Science and Business. He obtained his doctorate of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. To further increase his skills and knowledge, Dr. Darquea completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Idaho State University. Since graduating, Dr. Darquea has completed over 500 more hours of continuing education and has been awarded the title of Fellow for the Academy of General Dentistry.
He enjoys playing piano, traveling, and staying in great physical condition. He is married and has four beautiful children. Dentistry has become a true passion and Dr. Darquea loves changing lives by creating healthy and beautiful smiles. He looks forward to going to work at SmileCOS Dentistry in Colorado Springs every day to make your smile a little brighter.

I was looking for a new dentist and found SmileCOS. They are friendly, fast, and thorough, and offer a reasonable 'in-house dental plan' for those of us without dental insurance. And they have a great introductory deal for first time patients so you can easily check them out without breaking the bank.

Five star staff but two-three star dentist. Unfortunately, I can't bring myself to go back because of this because the office was really nice and the rest of the staff was seriously amazing. After my visit though, I realized that the awesome office and staff are compensating for a short, kind of cold dentist that made the end of my visit really uncomfortable. Maybe the other dentist there is better? (I saw the white, male doctor, I cannot recall his name).

Hello? I wanted to say that I think Center for Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is an awesome place to come for your Dental work. I had came in on Sept 30, 2014 for a cleaning and Na la whom cleans my teeth had notice, I needed some more dental work done. So I had placed an appointment for my a crown and a filling on one tooth. The day of my appointment I felt really nervous and having anxiety about the procedure. I meet Lisa Marie the Dental Hygienist and she was so sweet, she made me feel welcome and as well as Dr. Miller. They both made me feel extremely comfortable. I would recommend any one to come and join this Dental Team here at The Center for Family and Cosmetic Dentistry to work on your teeth. I had no issues after wards and I really appreciate it when it can happen like this, because I hate when I have to do a follow up for something that was not done the first time. I work with the developmental delayed population. I brought one of my people to see the dentist here. He has downs and is very not welling to let anyone touch his mouth. They were very patient with him. 5 stars fir us.

The staff was very welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. They explained processes and treatments that my dad needed thoroughly so he could understand his options. Choosing a new dentist can be difficult but they made it easy.

I haven't gone to a dentist for ages because I had a bad experience when I was in Hawaii..I went to smile today. They made my first visit so comfortable. The whole staff was friendly and caring and explained everything. I would recommend anyone to go there. Best experience so far. Can't wait to go for more treatment.

This was the first dentist I have been to in five years that didn't make me feel stupid, afraid, or powerless. They were very upfront about everything like cost and insurance, and talked me through everything. They are worth your time if you need a dentist.

This has to be the best Dentist office we have ever been to, especially with a 3 year old. Liza was so kind, sweet and compassionate with my daughter. Liza was so personable and made sure my daughter was comfortable and not afraid at all. Dr Miller was also very personable and did everything to help get us going in the right direction. The staff and the girls at the front desk are absolutely phenomenal. You walk in and it's clean and you're greeted by the whole crew with huge smiles when you walk in. So if you need to find a dentist office worth it? I would definitely come here and don't forget to ask for Liza-with a "z" and Dr Miller! Such kind, and compassionate people!

Please provide additional stars, because this office is incredible. In addition I would like to thank the following staff for their personal attention, and support during my procedure, Adrianna, Shelly, Angie, and my cleaning tech, Sarah. If your looking for a Dentist in the Colorado Springs area, LOOK NO FURTHER. Fast forward 9 months, and after specifically instructing two or more employees not to preform any procedures that are not covered 100% by my insurance, I received a bill, indicating they did exactly what I told them not to do. Not a good business practice. I will pay, and no longer return.

They do such a great job and make everything really clear and comfortable through the whole process. They were also really honest about what I needed and what I didn't. A previous dentist told me I needed 3 fillings and they said I really only needed 1 as the other 2 weren't that bad yet. In an industry where I have no way to verify information, it's really important to me that I can trust they're being honest.
