Dr Wright is an amazing dentist! She did a lot of work in a small amount of time- and my daughter isnt even complaining of pain after! So impressed! She is beyond kind and cannot recommend her enough. I will be continuing to take my children to her for years to come. They gave my daughter an adorable gift bag with after-surgery food, toothbrushes, animal floss, paste, and an adorable blanket.

We came to our appointment today early (30min) and we were called back within 5 minutes! My children feel very at home. My 1 yr old adores Dr.Wright and the entire staff here! She was even lucky enough to leave with a balloon animal! We can't wait to continue our dental care with Smile Wright!

The staff here is extremely friendly. The dental assistant and dentist take my concerns seriously and have allowed me to try and heal tiny cavities before having them filled. Highly recommend! Wish I was able to be seen here as well as my oldest. When we set up our first appointments the office was only accepting new patients under 11yrs old. Literally the only downfall.

(XENIA LOCATION) Best dentist I have ever taken my kids to! Staff is very friendly, accommodating, and well versed. They explained everything they were going to do before doing it, even the finances! The facility is clean, beautifully decorated, and has shows on for kids! This dentist made my son no longer fear the dentist and he's 6 and had to have fillings, crown, and a root canal!

My kids went here for a few years. At first it was okay, they did allow me to go back with my kids after telling them I didn't want my children having dental work done without me in the room. Their treatment plans were extreme and I feel they did unnecessary dental work due to me having the medical card. They wanted to cap most of the cavities my kids had and even wanted to do surgery on one of them. As time went on, the dentist stopped allowing me to go back into the rooms with my kids. She even threatened that she would not see my kids any longer if I wouldn't agree. I also never personally saw or talked to her about my children's treatment plans, she had the dental hygienist go over everything with me. Very poor service if you ask me, seems very off putting and just wants to make money.

This practice gave me the impression that they were more interested in money than the wellbeing of my child.

My experience at this dental clinic was beyond terrible. Please read the whole review! First thing, my daughter was not allowed to EAT OR DRINK after midnight prior to the appointment, that must be remembered. They called my kids' mom at 10:07 or so to let us know they were behind on patients... we had an appointment at 10:45 and she did not see the message or call because she was at work. I was already halfway there by that point. This place opens at 8am. When I arrived with my 7 year old daughter at 10:30, I was told that the wait could be up to an hour and a half. I was saddened by this, but decided to wait especially since they had a kids movie playing in the waiting room. I get into intake in the back around 11:20 and fill out paperwork and anesthesia release forms. I was told at that point that I still had 2 people in line ahead of me and it could take up to 2 to 2.5 additional hours to be seen. I was livid at this point because I had another daughter to pick up at 1:30 from school while their mom is at work/doctor's office all day. I asked to reschedule and the front desk lady said that she would have to talk to the doctor because they don't normally allow reschedules and would have to consult with the dentist. I leave my number so they can call me instead of the mom. We live in Troy and this is the closest place that takes Caresource, possibly giving them license to treat their appointments this way. I leave angrily around 11:45 because I have to drive 30 minutes back to Troy to get my other daughter. I call them back at 12:30 to see if there was any progress with the reschedule attempt because I had to know whether or not my child should eat or drink at school or not since I might have to take her back out of school at 2 or 2:30. Remember... she hasn't eaten or drank for over 12 hours by this point... a CHILD. She's in the backseat coughing complaining of a dry itchy throat because she's thirsty. They told me over the phone that they thought I had cancelled and would need to ask the doctor about it because they had marked me down as a cancellation. I don't see this issue even if they marked me down... that's what white out is for. After a 6 minute hold I get an answer from the dentist. Apparently she no longer felt comfortable with the procedure because she was no longer certain that my daughter had not eaten or drank anything. When we both assured them that she hadn't, they reverted back to the cancelled excuse. I told them that made absolutely no sense. How could the dentist be sure that she hadn't eaten or drank before showing up originally? How could she be sure that my daughter didn't sneak a juice pouch or a water when nobody was looking? This excuse by the dentist was entirely illogical and that is not what I want from someone who graduated from COLLEGE! Overly frustrated... I told them I was going to leave them one hell of a review and hung up. I told my daughter that she could eat lunch at school because we were not going back that same day. She was overjoyed to be able to drink and eat. It was quite possible that she wouldn't have been able to drink or eat from around 10pm when she went to sleep until 4 or 5pm the following day and we were expected to sit in the waiting room from 10:30 until 2 or possibly 2:30pm without leaving. The appointment system is beyond disrepair. It's yet another place that feels they can treat their patients like cattle that are on CareSource because there is no closer option. So, onto the good. They had Secret Life of Pets 2 on and my child was not bored during the hour wait to be told about the additional 2 hour wait. The nurse was very nice and welcoming to my daughter and the person at the front desk seemed nice. No idea about the Dentist... never seen the person, but she doesn't sound the brightest. I was told that the dentist liked to take her time with her little patients and that's admirable... this experience could have been incredibly better if our appointment was scheduled for 2:15 instead of 10:45.

Up until Aug. 2021 my daughter had gotten great care at Smile Wright Dental. I took her to her normal cleaning on her appointment day and was told that the doctor/hygienist were about about 45 minutes behind schedule and we would have to wait in our car for that time. I was on lunch break from work for this appointment so only had a limited time...and I am a single mom. I had worked it out that a friend would be picking her up, but I didn't have a mountain of available time. When I tried to reschedule they were booked into January!!! I then tried to reschedule at their Springfield office and was told that they had changed their policy and they were only doing appointments at one or the other locations not both anymore. The office staff were LESS than helpful. The hygienist came from the back and offered to go ahead and take my daughter because she was open, but the staff told her no. I was thankful for the hygienist offering. The staff were not helpful at all so I just rescheduled for Springfield even though I live in Xenia and it is much more convenient. All this to say...I called today to confirm my daughter's appointment for next week and they had taken us off the schedule because I was not happy! Apparently a letter stating that fact was "in the mail," even though the dentist didn't even bother to call and talk things over with me. Terrible customer service! We are looking for somewhere else obviously.

Disappointed. I looked at reviews to several places that accepted Caresource and chose to give this office a try. The first two visits we had a good experience. I felt like I could trust my girls getting dental work after having a bad experience at another office in Miamisburg which I informed them about. Since then my daughter has been terrified of going to the dentist. I was told to schedule an appointment to do dental work for the girls but when I got up to the desk was told I'd be called. It was understandable with COVID that I didn't hear back. I made a call come end of summer and made an appointment that was 1-2 months in advance. I ended up having to work because it's our busy season and figured my ex had this. Day before I was told it was at least a 2 hour wait so I made sure to stress that to him and how I had to wait several months for this appointment for our daughter. I figured a few hours was reasonable because they are dealing with children. I had gotten a call while I was at work that they were running way behind which I really wish I could of gotten sooner because at that point he had just got there. Later he calls and is upset they just had him sign papers after waiting almost 2 hours and told him it was going to be another 2-3 hours. I wasn't informed it was going to be all day otherwise I would of just taken off and sat there with her. He left which right away I was upset with him cause most places will cancel your appointment if you walk out the door. I wasn't informed at all that the girls had been removed from their practice until I called and tried to reschedule all because their dad lost his cool. I learned not to depend on my ex when it comes to appointments. It would of been nice if I was informed of that hot mess (not just his side). Otherwise, I actually didn't mind driving 40+ minutes away because I actually liked this office. The ladies working there seemed friendly. Most places I've gone to people working at the desk seem irritated and I didn't get that feeling.

I haven't even been to Smile Wright yet, and they've already shown their true colors. I found out that my 6 year old has to have his other 4 molars filled in after doing his first 4 last year... I was referred to Smile Wright for insurance purposes and promised, by my Dentist, that they were great and would work with us. When I called the front desk woman was rude and hung up on me. I called back and spoke to someone else who was nicer. They scheduled an appointment, but they won't do anything for my son until they do another examination (which we JUST walked out the door of his examination). We'll see how his exam and work goes, but if THAT is the kind of person they have working the front desk then I'm nervous to see what kind of person we get when we're there. UPDATE: Dr Wright contacted me to "resolve" the issue... in reality what she did was tell me that her staff did nothing wrong and it was a good thing my son wasn't coming in to her office. I interrupted her at that point to, unlike her staff, let her know I was disconnecting the call. She responded to this review falsely, and that conversation made me very glad I chose somewhere else.
