As a dentist, my greatest satisfaction comes from restoring the quality of life for someone who suffers each day due to the loss of one or more of their teeth. For those of us with healthy teeth, its hard to imagine what these people deal with on a daily basis. Things we take for granted such as being able to eat without pain or to speak clearly are a challenge for these people. The procedure Im most known for is Teeth-By-Tonight! Ive been offering this procedure for over a decade. Its appropriate for those who are losing or have already lost all of their natural teeth. (In most cases our patients need at least some bad teeth removed during the procedure. But we see many denture wearers as well.)
In just one procedure I can remove any remaining bad teeth, place dental implants and then build a beautiful new smile on those solid artificial tooth roots. Amazingly, this new smile is immediately functional and solid as a rock. Patients eat a light meal the same night! Because their new teeth are protecting the gum tissue that was affected when we placed the dental implants, they experience almost no discomfort and minimal downtime. Dr. Bret Davis discovered his passion for cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry early in his career. To him, nothing was more rewarding than seeing the transformation in his patients entire appearance that came from the creation of a beautiful smile. When people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I cant remember a time that I didnt answer with I want to be a dentist! As a little girl, I was fascinated by teeth and quickly realized I had a real passion in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Mackenzi McAfee-Dooley knew she wanted to pursue dentistry as a career at a very young age and was determined to make an impact on peoples lives through their smile. After witnessing her brothers personality and self-confidence be radically boosted by cosmetic dentistry, she knew pursing advanced training in aesthetics was a must. Dr. Dooley graduated from The University of Texas at Austin immediately followed by acceptance in to UT Health San Antonio to complete her degree in dental surgery. Dr. Dooley graduated with advanced training in the planning and placement of dental implants as well as full arch cosmetic and functional reconstruction.
Early in her career, Dr. Dooley further pursued advanced training in gum and soft tissue esthetics, full mouth functional restorative dentistry, and full arch replacement of teeth with fixed dental implants. Dr. Dooley has since begun teaching courses focused on bone grafting and placing implants the same day as tooth extraction, as well as teaching full arch tooth replacement via the All on Four protocol.
Dr. Dooley is a native Houstonian and SmileTexas was in her backyard, so she is ecstatic to be a part of the team. She now lives in Houston with her husband and precious dog-child and loves to take cycling classes, snow-skiing, and attending Texas Football games (Hook Em!).

Smile Texas was so easy to work with. They absolutely know what they are doing with veneers and streamlined the entire process of a smile makeover. They have the most transparency with prices, previous work, and process than any other dentist I consulted with. Getting veneers was a super personal decision for me because I had what most dentists referred to as "great teeth". I was talked of of veneers by many dentists and even did years of Invisalign - but NEVER smiled. At 32 I decided I was over that part of my life and wanted a smile I was proud of. While my prep was "minimal" it's definitely a TON of dental work to get 20 veneers. They make it fairly simple if you are coming from out of town like I did, and you get everything done in two sessions! I was so so nervous and I did experience a lot of soreness/pain throughout the temps and for about 2 weeks after, but Dr.Dooley was SO so awesome in treating me with patience and talking with me to make sure I was always taken care of. I can safely say I would NOT have changed my decision to get veneers and I wouldn't have gone to anyone else. If/when I ever need them redone I'll be back!!! Love the Smile TX team and Dr.Dooley! Thank you ALL! You are the reason I smile HUGE in all my pictures now!

I have been putting off getting my teeth fixed for many years, I was afraid of maybe not liking it or they turning out wrong. I mean this is permanent and the first thing people see! One, I'm so happy I finally did it, but more so I'm so happy I waited till I found Smile Texas. The staff there is so amazing, they make you feel so comfortable. They never rushed me into making my decision and it was never a bother to them when I had questions, even after leaving their office. If you are going to do something so permanent make sure you go to the best! Smile Texas is the best!

Most professional experience ever! If you are even remotely considering dental cosmetic surgery, this is the only place to go. From the time of consultation to the care of even the smallest details, you will not be disappointed! On top of the initial procedure, every follow up has been negated towards ensuring that the final product is absolutely perfect! Additionally, the staff is first rate, and I look forward to seeing the entire staff each time I visit. Best part.......the teeth do NOT look fake! I've had numerous people ask who cleans my teeth. None of them knew they were implants. That alone is worth every penny!!!!

Smile Texas is the best of the best! As a patient coming from out of town, I wanted a streamlined process and that's what I got. From the moment I met them I knew I was in the right hands. The process was smooth and tailored to me individually. Dr. Dooley and the whole staff really know how to make you feel comfortable and listened to. Thankful for Dr. Davis and this entire team. Who knew going to the dentist could be so fun. They are awesome at what they do. My gums were in pretty bad shape. I had the Teeth by Tonight surgery performed by Smile Texas. Let's just say from day 1 consultation there team made me feel so comfortable and amazing. Even though I was ashamed to go in. Now that I have my new smile my life has completely changed and I owe it all to them. They have put together the most amazing,skillful, and knowledgeable team. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Let's start off by saying, I researched for YEARS! Something always brought me back to Smile Texas. Today, I got my teeth and to say I am an over thinker/over critical would be an understatement. At first, I cried and now I just CANNOT STOP LOOKING AT MYSELF. Dr Dooley is a literal heaven sent angel. Her bed side manner is unmatched. She walked me through the whole process and anytime I was somewhat nervous, she coached me through. She customized me the most perfect smile I could ask for. I mean she even called me on her VACATION to see how things were going! Like what!? Amazing! Cherry is who helped Dr Dooley prepped me. Cherry was so so sweet and helped select the perfect shade for me. I did my upper 10 and really was nervous to get a possibly brighter shade on the top, but I did. Cherry, YOU ARE THE BOMB FOR CONVINCING ME because I'm so happy I did now. Dr Davis was such a gentleman! He is super super funny and will talk you off the side of the wall when you want to jump. All of my overthinking, he put to complete ease. Dr Davis set my teeth and I got to hear tons of funny jokes and almost messed him up by laughing/talking! And finally, Erika. Erika has the kindest smile and heart. She answered all my after after care questions and assisted Dr Davis during my setting. She also, has amazing bed side manner and such a cheerful personality! She is also great at taking all of Dr Davis' jokes at her. All this to say, you cannot pick a better place than Smile Texas. They will make this life changing experience feel so special and always prioritize your thoughts/concerns. Thank you guys for changing my smile and life!

Couldn't have had a better experience at Smile Texas! Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and I felt instantly comfortable in their hands. Dr. Dooley is so knowledgeable! They were very attentive in keeping me pain-free during the process of putting on my veneers (and being in pain was a concern of mine going into it). They were even kind enough to FaceTime my wife during the appointments so she could be a part of helping me choose color and seeing my reaction when I saw my teeth for the first time. I feel so much more confident with my new smile, but I still look like myself. Everyone who has seen them comments on how natural they look. My wife says I'm a 10.5 now, haha! She loves them so much she has decided to get hers done too! This practice is the best of the best, no need to have a consult anywhere else, they 100% exceeded my expectations and I can't recommend Dr. Dooley and the entire team more highly!

Smile Texas gave my life back. I can speak infront of people again when doing my presentations. Being a Professional Financial Educator I always have face to face encounter with clients. NowI don't feel inferior anymore or ashamed when talking to them.I don't need to cover my mouth, I can smile and laugh as long as I want, it makes me happy and when I'm with my friends I can do karaoke singing again. Really nice place. The assistant was great. Wish I could remember her name. The dr. Was nice. I could tell instantly he knew his stuff by pointing out everything I notice about my smile. The only thing I didn't like was that the cost of porcelain veneers at the location. I was told 40k . Now I don't have the best smile nor the worst but man come on . If your well off go for it . Everyone seemed really nice .

Awesome! Smile Texas does a great job. But moreover, they stand behind their work. I had my initial dental work done over 5 years ago. Recently, I had to have a replacement and they covered it for no charge. But what's better, I couldn't tell if I was a warranty customer or a new client. Their service was impeccable and they weren't getting paid. High integrity, they care, and their work is definitely perfect.

From the very first day I went to see Dr Kline, and the patients in the waiting room I met starting telling me how happy I would be with Smile Texas, I knew I had chosen the right place to come to for a major restoration of my entire upper and lower smile and dental structure. After a great consultation I decided this is where I would get my dental work done. Dr Davis and Assistant Cherry Kim did a great job on my uppers with full crowns on all my teeth to perfection and, then I had a 4 plus hour surgery on the lower bridge which Dr Kline and Dr Dooley did the work on and I must say the surgery went well, easier than I thought and I woke up with Teeth by Night and Dr Dooley caring for me post-surgery with her big beautiful smile and warm personality. Today, January 26th, I just finished getting my lower perms put in so all are done now, and I am so happy with the results I can not stop smiling and just saying "Wow". The first time in my life I have straight. white, beautiful teeth thanks to all the staff at Smile Texas. I recommend Smile Texas to all who are considering any restorative or cosmetic dentistry. They are the BEST and thanks to the entire staff, and to Dee Dee, Elsa and Cara also in the administrative positions, for making me feel welcome day one, to the whole staff for making my procedure go so well, and for taking care of me like a family member the entire time. I look forward to continuing this venture with you all as I now go into the maintenance to graduation stage over the next few months. I had a perfectly fine Maryland Bridge converted to implant and bridge by Kline and Schiro 20 something years ago. They did have some, "lifetime policy." I flew into Houston to have my bridge checked on. Specifically, if I remember correctly at all, I came to have it re-cemented as it had come loose. They put me out with anesthesia. When I woke up they told me that during the removal, one of my adjacent adult upper front teeth had cracked and they had to yank it. I went on to other people to have work done to try to fix the receding gums that the loss of the tooth created. Needless to say, I resent ever having gotten help from this establishment, whether Kline or Schiro was responsible. Because now I have multiple implants failing due to bad luck ( Whoops we cracked your front tooth while performing a warranty procedure and yanked it while you were sleeping Kline and Schiro Dental ), bad hygiene, malpractice or a combination thereof. Peri-Implantitis is the end result. I went in to this with no problems and came out with teeth missing and gums receded. P.S. Regardless of whether it was Kline or Schiro's malpractice, what is the picture of the lady laying on the Piano for?
