As a dentist, my greatest satisfaction comes from restoring the quality of life for someone who suffers each day due to the loss of one or more of their teeth. Dr. Bret Davis discovered his passion for cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry early in his career. As a little girl, I was fascinated by teeth and quickly realized I had a real passion in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Mackenzi McAfee-Dooley knew she wanted to pursue dentistry as a career at a very young age and was determined to make an impact on peoples lives through their smile. After witnessing her brothers personality and self-confidence be radically boosted by cosmetic dentistry, she knew pursing advanced training in aesthetics was a must. Dr. Dooley graduated from The University of Texas at Austin immediately followed by acceptance in to UT Health San Antonio to complete her degree in dental surgery. Dr. Dooley graduated with advanced training in the planning and placement of dental implants as well as full arch cosmetic and functional reconstruction.
Early in her career, Dr. Dooley further pursued advanced training in gum and soft tissue esthetics, full mouth functional restorative dentistry, and full arch replacement of teeth with fixed dental implants. Dr. Dooley has since begun teaching courses focused on bone grafting and placing implants the same day as tooth extraction, as well as teaching full arch tooth replacement via the All on Four protocol.
Dr. Dooley is a native Houstonian and SmileTexas was in her backyard, so she is ecstatic to be a part of the team. She now lives in Houston with her husband and precious dog-child and loves to take cycling classes, snow-skiing, and attending Texas Football games (Hook Em!).
