They were so great with my 3 year old son today! His first trip to the dentist and he did not cry one time.

Normally, I would give a five star but the office tech (She was the only problem) helping my 18 year old daughter was horrible. My children have been patients at Smile Starters for 20 years (I have been at smile starters every 6 months for 20 years). Management was awesome, the ladies checking in awesome. I am not sure what was going on but she stumped around around the office and was rude to everyone.

The staff is polite and very helpful. They even call the parent the following day if your child had dental work done , they check and see how the child is doing! It's the best place eto bring your children.

Anytime a dental facility can make a kid comfortable enough to play while they wait is cool with me. Clear, communicative & friendly staff. A calm and easy environment for parents. And a window to see your kid's progress. I like this.

FYI - All these 5 Star reviews you see here? They ask everyone through multiple texts to leave a review and advertise in their office that they offer rewards for reviews. Please read all of the 1 star reviews. If I could give 0 stars I would. I am looking into filing a formal complaint about this location. Today was the final straw that had me canceling my daughters appointment and walking out before she was seen. Firstly, on our previous visit which was a routine evaluation, they quoted me around $80 after insurance, with an additional fee for nitrous oxide, and which I approved. When I went in today, they claimed that the dentist had re-examined the X-rays from the evaluation and changed the treatment plan, bringing it to $300 which did not include the nitrous. So the cherry on top is that once the nurse nearby overheard nitrous, she chimes in that THEY RAN OUT OF OXYGEN! Oxygen is 100% necessary to use when administering nitrous oxide which is the appropriate pain management for a 6 year old who was already in tears just over the anxiety of having more dental work done. It is absolutely unacceptable for a dental practice to not have the necessary tools for the appropriate pain management of children. If it was out of their hands they could have at least had the decency to call me this morning and save me the time and gas that it took to pick my daughter up from school and drive 15 miles. This is not even my first bad experience with this place. I had my first experience with Smile Starters in 2010 when I took my oldest daughter there. She was only 1 at the time and they refused to let me go back with her. I was shocked and upset but as a new parent on Medicaid at the time I felt pressured to let them take her. I never took her back and it scared me off of pediatric dentists for a while. I have heard too many stories about inappropriate things happening at dental offices, let alone how inappropriate it is for a stranger to take my daughter to a back room that I don't have access to. Last year I got stuck back in the Smile Starters trap because it was the only place that would accept my insurance for my youngest daughter. I felt like they were over treating her but at the same time I knew she needed treatment and it was a necessary evil. The support staff were always very nice, but I have never once been introduced to any of the dentists there, only the hygienists and assistants. That is another red flag for me. Not meeting the dentists, not being able to go back with my children for treatment, constant re-negging on treatment plans, and improper pain management, all huge red flags . I am never going back here and if you don't have to, I would not recommend going here.

the staff was very judgmental and rude, especially the hygienist. other patients also said they wouldn't let their kids see most of the hygienists there. the doctor was very kind and outgoing. they have all dental chairs in one big room in rows and it felt very uncomfortable with no privacy and it was very loud and dirty. nothing looked like it had been cleaned it at least weeks including a few of the dental tools. there was a couple fighting in the main lobby and no staff stepped up, or said anything after the man was cussing and hitting the woman over their child. this is not a good and clean environment for children. go anywhere else it would be a much more enjoyable and clean experience.
