A prosthodontist specializes in the replacement and/or restoration of natural dental structures. In addition to the typical path of dental education, doctors who choose to specialize in this field must undergo three to four years of training in a prosthodontic program that better teaches them how to create high-quality tooth replacements and understand the building blocks of a strong, healthy, and aesthetically-pleasing smile.
As a prosthodontist, Dr. Reed is highly trained in a wide variety of state-of-the-art techniques and complex dental situations, including (but not limited to) lost teeth, jaw joint dysfunction, sleep disorders, traumatic mouth injuries, congenital defects, and more. Dr. Reed received her bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska in 1986 and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from UNMC College of Dentistry in 1991. She earned her certificate of specialization in prosthodontics in 1993. Dr. Reed enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a focus on complex reconstructive, prosthetic and implant dentistry. In 2001, she completed advanced surgical and prosthetic training with Dr. Carl Misch.

I've been a regular patient at Smile Specialties for over a decade! The staff and Dr. Reed are all professional, nice, and knowledgeable. They have my complete trust! When I had an implant and crown put in, Dr. Reed wasn't completely happy with the crown as it came, so she reworked it herself to her satisfaction. I appreciated the extra effort.

Dr Reed is thee sweetest , most knowledgeable , most fun dentist I've met ! For someone who is pretty nervous about a place like that , her and the staff were always great about making me comfortable . Not to mention Dr. Reed is great at decorating!! It's more of a home feel than a office feel. Definitely recommend !

I have been going to Smile Specialties for 20ish yrs. Dr. Reed and her staff are the best! I have been through a couple crowns some minor fillings and 5 years of invisalign with them. Very helpful in setting up a treatment plan so it hasn't financially broke me! I feel like family and that they really care!

Best dental care in Lincoln! I've been seeing Dr. Reed for 10 years now and she is simply AMAZING, the Smile Specialties team as well, so welcoming and informative! I have been a patient of D.r Reed's for several years and have always been totally happy with all aspects of the service, until recently. I was forced to switch insurances and ever since, every time, there is a huge issue with the claim being filed. The person doing the billing is the reason for this review. It's a sad commentary when the actions of a single person changes whether I use a service. This person is rude and talks down to you as though you, the patient, haven't a clue about anything and clearly if they know everything about filing a claim, why is there so much issue with doing just that!!!!???? Love the dental service, but the support ruins it.
