I have gone to this practice twice, as a result of a change of insurance, and will not return. I selected this practice based on favorable reviews but cannot for the life of me understand the high rating after my two experiences here. At my first service, a general cleaning with x-rays, the only positive was that the receptionist was kind and the interaction with the doctor was fairly positive/personable. Unfortunately, when I was taken in for x-rays, this took over an hour and required two people. Apparently, one of them was new and the other tried to help her when it started to take too long. At one point, both of them were trying to manipulate the film in my mouth and their hands slipped. I was hit in the face and my eyeglasses flew off. I also had a cut on my inner cheek from their carelessness on a different x-ray. They apologized but it was too little too late for me, at this point. During the entire time I was in the exam room, not one person (and there were several people in and out), other than the doctor, said hello, introduced themselves, or explained what they were there to do. I had to ask! Then, at one point, the receptionist came into the room attempting to upsell me $5000+ in services. The cleaning entailed one hygienist polishing my teeth FIRST, and then another person coming in to scrape my teeth last. That was it. I was not even flossed. I tried to be understanding after this. I know they were short-staffed and dealing with inexperienced help (although, no one should have to be trained to greet a patient) and so I still scheduled my 6-month cleaning. Immediately upon providing my name to the receptionist at my second visit, I was told I would have to pay out-of-pocket because my last appointment (which this office would have offered and scheduled, knowing my insurance requirements) was five months prior, rather than the requisite six months. I exclaimed this was incorrect, said the month I came in, and was told I was wrong...multiple times. We went back and forth about this even though this person had access to my information in front of him! I started to look up the date of my last appointment in my own calendar when I was told I was correct and there was not an issue. I get making a mistake and misreading the screen but the first reaction should have been, 'let me double-check that'. Instead, this person doubled down on telling me I was wrong multiple times, each time making me more upset that I was inconvenienced to take off work for the appointment and concerned about what this would cost if I chose to stay, yet he pretended nothing happened once he concluded I was correct. I was then brought into the exam room and a hygienist greeted me (this was a first) and asked what my issue was at reception. She was nice but frankly, that was none of her business. Then, my teeth were polished. I can't fathom why this is the first step in a cleaning at this practice. When this was completed, I was asked if I wanted to chat with the doctor. I was so confused. I'd assumed, based on every other dentist appointment I've ever had, that a dentist would at some point be glancing at my teeth, if only to check the hygienists' work or see if there's something glaringly wrong. So, when she recognized I hesitated to respond, she explained that I would have to pay $49 out-of-pocket to have the dentist look at my teeth!! I declined. Then, another hygienist came in and scraped my teeth. The end. Nothing else was done during these cleanings. It took about ten minutes total. I've never had so little done to my teeth at a cleaning. I feel like I could have done a better job cleaning my own teeth at home. I find the focus at this practice is much more on making a buck through upselling than it is on providing worthwhile services to its patients. Going forward, I will gladly pay out-of-pocket to see any of my previous dentists instead, where I am ensured I higher level of basic care, rather than pay nothing with insurance for so little in return.

Everyone here is absolutely WONDERFUL!! I had a dental emergency and hadn't been to a dentist in a long time... I called here pretty panicked and they happily got me in the same day, and eased my nerves! Every step was explained to me in detail, they made me feel very comfortable and safe. My treatment plan was explained and executed perfectly! I am so happy I found them! The staff and the doctor are absolutely wonderful! I cannot praise them more! I 100% recommend this place and will be coming back on a regular basis from now on! Love! Love! Love!

Staff are wonderful, the place is clean. And the dr is very professional and knowledgeable My family is happy with this office all her dental hygienist are very nice make u feel welcome and my fear of the dentist is gone . Ill start going to this office from now on

Best experience in my life! No one else could help after being discharged from the hospital. Smile Solutions helps the community by accepting government insurance and looking out for their patients. They are knowledgeable, clean, friendly and AFFORDABLE! I am a life long patient now, thank you Dr. Yajima!

My daughter had the worst experience at another dentist office. We were very apprehensive about going to another dentist. I am sooo extatic and so is my daughter with this office...staff...and doctor!!! This team has great bedside manners and compassion for their patients. Try.....you won't be disappointed!!

Most gentle, kind, diligent staff. The doctor is amazing and helped me with multiple issues other practices have brushed off. I have always had anxiety about the dentist but this is the first time I've felt safe there!! Definitely recommend going if you're looking for a new dentist!!!

Dr. Yajima is great, her staff is friendly. She does a great job cleaning my teeth. My only issue is they're constantly trying to upsell some procedure I don't need or several hundred dollar toothbrush. Great local place, just please stop trying to sell me stuff!

The best experience ever! Didn't feel a thing! They were so gentle and loving and even friendly! I would definitely recommend them to everyone! If you are scared of a dentist this is a place for you! They will test you like family!

I have been highly impressed with this office. Everyone is so professional, nice and supportive. I have been here with my granddaughter and my son. My son has major anxiety and despite an infection which caused a great deal of pain Doc was able to successfully help him through the anxiety for a successful procedure. I highly recommend this office!!

Staff is the best in the business. Dr Kana Yajima is an excellent dentist. Very professional. She instucts her assistants calmly and cares greatly about the comfort of her patients, as do the staff. Nomi is the best. Lauren is very helpful with the financial issues. Vaidik is a fantastic assistant. Highly recommend.

The dental assistant ms Tomoko is nice, very polite helpful and had a soft hand as well as Dr Kana Yahima. The dental clinics are beautiful and organised.
