Dr. Jeffrey D. Rhodes, or Dr. J, is a 1984 graduate of Austin College in Sherman, TX. He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1988. Then, he completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry in 1990. He has completed specialty fellowships at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and Childrens Medical Center of Dallas. While at Baylor College of Dentistry, he published research in growth and development of young childrens faces. In addition, he has taught dental students at Baylor College of Dentistry, and is now teaching pediatric dental residents at Jordan Valley Community Center in Springfield, MO.
Dr. J is also active in the community, serving on many boards, such as the Corporate Leadership Council of the Walton Arts Center and as a Southwestern District Trustee for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). He grew up in Dallas, but has been coming to Northwest Arkansas his whole life to visit family.
Dr. Andrew Burriss, or Dr. Andrew, is a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2013. Following graduation he worked for two years in a private practice in Collierville, Tennessee.
He then completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at Bon Secours St. Marys of Richmond. While he was there, he gained an appreciation for the importance of education for the prevention of dental disease in children. He also received the skills necessary to care for special needs patients.
Dr. Andrew looks forward to working with children every day and wants to give every child the foundation for long-lasting, healthy smiles for years to come. Dr. Andrew is a native of Collierville, TN.
Dr. Mackenzie Youngman, or Dr. Mackenzie, received her bachelors degree from Auburn University in 2014. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M (formerly Baylor) College of Dentistry, graduating in 2018. Dr. Mackenzie practiced in Fort Worth, Texas for three years before moving to NWA. She was drawn to dentistry by her desire to help others and to make a difference in peoples lives. She is committed to creating meaningful relationships with each of her patients, providing the best possible care with kindness and compassion.
Dr. Hannah is a dentist known for her kind and gentle way with children. She tries her very best to ease the fears and anxieties of her patients, and make them comfortable in the dental chair. Dr. Hannah treats her patients as if they were her own little ones, and feels very lucky and blessed to get to watch them grow up in her care. She takes great pride in her work, and sees dentistry as one of the major ways she can make a positive difference in the world. When she graduated dental school, Dr. Hannah promised God that she would use her knowledge and skills to make the world a better place and has done her very best to keep that promise.
Dr. Hannah attended her first year of college at the University of California San Diego. She then transferred to Pacific Union College where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and a minor in biology. She completed her dental training at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Hannah has since received additional training and experience in pediatric dentistry and is also certified in Pediatric Oral Conscious Sedation. She has worked in a pediatric dental office in Tulsa, OK for the past five and a half years and just recently moved to NW Arkansas to be closer to family.
Dr. Hannah loves reading, volunteering, and spending time with friends & family. She grew up in sunny San Diego, CA and still enjoys the local pastimes of sea kayaking, snorkeling, and tidepooling. Her family immigrated from India when she was two years old and she understands Tamil (a South Indian dialect). Her husband is a cute ginger business analyst who works from home, and they have two adorable but busy toddler boys who keep them on their toes!

Our most recent visit to the smile shoppe was absolutely wonderful! Dr Hannah took amazing care of my youngest during his oral surgery procedure and then again with my oldest during his cleaning. The receptionists are sweet and accommodating and the hygienist is very gentle and friendly with the kiddos.

I switched my boys from a larger pediatric dentist office to the Smile Shoppe because I felt more comfortable and like my boys weren't just another patient. We have started Myobrace with both and my oldest is in a palate expander. The assistants, hygienist, and dentist in the back talk the boys through every step and the front desk ladies are always ready with a little prize for good behavior. Thank you for making us feel at home every visit.

We had a pretty good experience at the dentist, however I have made several attempts to contact their hospital scheduler to have my son scheduled for a procedure because the dentist felt he is "too wiggly" to do the procedure in office. I have spoken to several very friendly receptionist who assured me that this lady would call me very soon and I was promised she would call before the Christmas break. I was unaware their Christmas break would be two weeks or I would have called for the 5th time to get my son scheduled. So now we are here with a sore mouth WAITING until after January 4th for the office to open back up, just to get a future scheduled appointment. It's very disheartening to see your little one cringe from mouth pain while eating and not being able to do anything about it, I can't even go to another pediatric dentist because no one is around to send my records. Staff is friendly but they do not follow up as promised!

My grandchildren require oral surgery for some cavities they found out about over a year ago and have been "on the list" with my daughter in law getting the run around every time she calls to find out about an appointment. My granddaughter cries in pain every day now and my grandson's tooth has disintegrated. This lack of care or concern is ridiculous. Impossible to believe that it would take so many months to get this taken care of in an area as big as NWA.

We had a great experience at this dentist office! The staff is very friendly and the office clean. The hygienist was gentle when cleaning my toddlers teeth and allowed my kid to be involved in the process so as to calm her nerves. The dentist, Dr. J, was welcoming and gave me some great info regarding teeth health and development as he did the examination. We were in-and-out of the office quickly. We highly recommend, especially if you live near Wedington!
