Dr. Grace Chung graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. She completed multiple post graduate dental education courses including a one year maxi-residency course in implant dentistry through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. She performs all areas of general dentistry and is certified in the use of laser treatment in the state of Nevada.
Dr. Grace is originally from New York but has traveled and lived all over the world. She is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and subsequently served 6 years of active duty as an Army Medical Service Corps Officer. She was stationed primarily in Germany throughout her military service and completed a one year deployment to Iraq in 2005-2006, but has spent time also at FT Rucker, AL, FT Sam Houston, TX, and FT Meade, Maryland.
Dr. Graces passion in dentistry is to help others to restore their confidence through their smile. She has volunteered in many events such as Give a Kids a Smile Day and also taught oral health classes to children after school in Baltimore city for a year as a dental student. One of Dr. Graces short term goals is to organize a dental service day for the veterans throughout the community.
Dr. Grace is also involved in forensic dentistry and works with the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner as a forensic odontologist. There, she assists with dental identification, age estimation and bitemark analysis cases and is also trained in civil litigation.
Dr. Grace is a member of the Southern Nevada Dental Association, American Dental Association, an Associate Member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, and an Affiliate Associate Member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
In her spare time, Dr. Grace enjoys binge-watching TV shows while staying active in running races, triathlons & snowboarding. She is blessed to have a wonderful husband to share her hobbies and loves to play with her 4 young children.
Dragisa Dee is trained as a dental assistant from High-Tech Institute and graduated in 2007 with honors and was in the top ten graduates in his class. Dee is one of our most versatile team members as he is often assisting with patients in the treatment rooms as well as fulfilling his duties in the front office. He is a skilled assistant working with dental implants and prosthetic devices, and enjoys exceeding our patients expectations in creating beautiful temporary crowns and bridges for our patients while they are receiving their dental treatment. Dee has lived in Las Vegas for 20 years and loves his community and enjoys working with people. Dee is passionate about living life to the fullest and can be found hiking and exploring nature when he has some free time.
Tiffany graduated from PIMA Medical Institute here in Las Vegas in 2005. Since then, she has gained many years of experience and wisdom working with patients and helping them learn about their procedures. She is by nature a very organized and detail-oriented person and is the reason why our office sparkles and shines. Tiffany is experienced with all dental procedures and specialties, and is the only person in the world who will tell you that she loves root canals! Tiffany was born and raised in Las Vegas. She has a big family in town and loves spending time with them. Tiffany also loves listening and singing to her music and spreads her joy wherever she goes by singing along with whatever is on the radio. Tiffany is a loving mother to 2 children.
Smile Shop is honored to have one of the best hygienists in the valley. Vicky graduated from the College of Southern Nevada as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2013, and received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2015.Vicky is meticulous and diligent in her work and will spend the time to educate her patients and teach them about their oral hygiene. Trust us Vickys patients know that shell get on them if they are not brushing and flossing as they should be between visits! Vicky is a great asset to our team and we are lucky to have her join our Smile Shop family in 2017. Prior to practicing dentistry, Vicky worked at the Venetian Casino as a poker dealer. She and her family hail from the northeast state of Rhode Island, which unfortunately has misled them to follow the Patriots in the NFL. Despite this shortcoming, Vicky is a great and amazing team player to our dental group and wonderful mother to her little girl, Elliora.
Botox and Xeomin are both FDA approved injectable neuromodulators that work to reduce the fine lines and wrinkles of the skin. Common areas for Botox / Xeomin to treat are the horizontal lines of the forehead, the vertical frown lines in between the brows (aka The Elevens), and crows feet around the outside of the eyes. Other areas of treatment can be nasal squint lines, lines around the neck, eyebrow lifting, and for certain headaches or oral facial pain like temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. These products work by temporarily altering the nerve impulses of certain muscle fibers, thus reducing contraction-induced wrinkles. Although there are slight differences between Botox and Xeomin , they both have the same mechanism of action and often can be used interchangeably.
The injections of Botox / Xeomin are also great as an anti-aging strategy. By reducing the frequency and intensity of those muscle contractions, the wrinkles will never become very deep in the long run. Its a sad fact as we age, so does our skin. Eventually, the aging process takes its course and our skin loses the collagen and hyaluronic acid and wrinkles begin to form. Today, PRP and PRF skin rejuvenation is becoming more the gold standard for the treatment of skin to improve tone, scars, discoloration, and sun damage. Microneedling with PRF is FDA cleared and scientifically proven to rejuvenate the skin on several levels by stimulating cell renewal and the triggering the production of collagen and elastin.
Microneedling is a very common facial treatment called Collagen Induction Therapy. When this treatment is done, a small pen device with pins are put to the skin to create tiny micro-wounds this stimulates collagen and elastin formation as the skin begins its healing process, which in turn results in smoother, newer skin. What is PRP? PRP is platelet-rich-plasma, which is a matrix of white blood cells from the patients own blood. PRF platelet-rich-fibrin is similarly prepared but is a thicker formulation to create a plug or membrane, which is used often in our dental surgical procedures like extractions and implant placements. Both PRP and PRF contain the patients own white blood cells, which is rich in growth factors that help accelerate wound healing. When used with microneedling, the PRP/PRF is massaged into the skin which then stimulates the elastin and collagen growth.
