Dr. Mamata Hoogar who is the primary dentist is a highly qualified with vast experience in dentistry especially in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and pediatric care. We see patients of all ages.
To help you get to know me, Ill share a little bit about my background and how I came to love the practice of dentistry. I was close to my grandmother who had a highly inspiring personality. Due to the fact that she didnt have perfect teeth, she struggled to eat and didnt smile enough. This inspired me to become a dentist and help people live a healthy life and above all have a great smile.
I have a Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Rajiv Gandhi University, India and Doctor Of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from NOVA Southeastern University. I have over 10 years of experience in the field of Dentistry which includes volunteering at Community Smiles in Miami and being an associate dentist in a busy Raleigh private practice.
I have been married to Girish since 2003 who works for a software company founded by a Raleigh Entrepreneur. We have a 12 year old son named Keeshant, whose energy and quest for knowledge bring a smile to our faces every day. One of the newest additions to our family is Mango, she is 7 month old Lhasa Apso puppy who spreads happiness and joy without asking anything back.

I first went to smile and shine because I had gone to the dentist who was in the same location previously, but I keep going back because they are friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and competent. The staff is friendly and helpful and the dentist is great, and I'm saying this after just having a tooth pulled... highly recommend.

I LOVE THIS DENTIST I have always struggled with my teeth and my anxiety that comes with go to the dentist this place was the only place we're the people were nice and understanding did not pressure me or make me feel bad they toke there time and are great at what they do I would 1000000 percent recommend them to anyone

Dr. Hoogar accepts medicare and medicaid. When they denied my mom her dentures, Dr.Hoogar re-filed the paperwork and we got full approvals.

Dr. Hoogar is absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond while fixing my teeth. She keeps you in the loop at all times while fixing your tooth. Doing things like grabbing a mirror midway through fixing your tooth, and showing you exactly what she needs to do. She takes you opinion above her own to make you happy. And before my series of appointments was over she asked what I personally don't like about my teeth and went ahead to fix it all. She's made me proud to smile and I haven't been able to do that for years now. She has done things I've never experienced with a dentist and is so pleasant to deal with. Her staff is second to none. Highly recommend.

I've been coming to this office for years. I have another dental office 0.1 miles from my home and I still prefer to come here. I have been to many offices from Germany, the Netherlands, All other the Us, She is the best. I love that the Dr. Cleans your teeth herself. She is lovely, personable, and a knowledgeable Doctor. She always remembers you and your family members. I would highly recommend this office.

This place was amazing! The lady at the front desk, the assistant and the surgeon were so friendly and I had such a positive welcoming visit! It was my first time here and being to the dentist in a long time and i felt as though i was taken care of! Definitely recommended :)
