I can tell you in all the years I have had work done I have never had such a kind patient dentist. I have the biggest fear of the dentist to the point where I get massive panic attacks. They made me feel so comfortable. Made sure I didn't feel any pain at all. One of my favorite thing is she is fully focused on your teeth not a lot of small talk. It means a lot to me because with my fear I just want to get in and out. She takes lots of pictures shows you the process so you can see exactly what's going on with your tooth. I just love her and her team. On top of all that my teeth look and feel fabulous. I never ever thought I would say that. I feel like it's such a difference. I think I've been us to places that I just get something done and your tooth is in survival mode then this place feels like there's so much love put into your teeth. It's not a quick fix. She really showed me how to truly take care of my teeth. She also calls to make sure your ok. I am so happy. BEST PRACTICE EVER!

I want to take a moment to both thank and recommend Dr. Farah Sefidvash and her staff on the excellent care they provide for my dad's dental needs. Everyone in the office is kind, patient and knowledgeable not only about dentistry, but also the specific needs of seniors. In addition to providing excellent care, the office is state of the art, and they are very responsive via phone, email and text communications. The practice accepts all dental PPO plans and they are always on time: if your appointment is at 2:00pm-you see the doctor or the dental hygienist at 2:00pm-no waiting or toggling between patients. If you are in need of a gentle, caring dentist you need look no further. The office is located in Pacific Heights, and is easily accessible by MUNI.

Needed a crown and a couple cavity fillings. Team are welcoming & friendly calmed my nerves. Dr Farah walked me through the process before starting anything which helped my anxiety. Didn't feel the injection nor the procedure. Fell asleep. Will definitely put my trust in Dr. Farah for all my dental needs. Thanks Smile SF Team .

Five stars -- best dentist ever! I recently needed a root canal and the entire procedure was painless and affordable. I appreciated that a variety of options was presented to me ahead of time so I was able to make an informed decision on how to proceed ... and I loved the compassionate care and follow-up! Great staff, great office!

Wow! I always love going to Smile SF. Farah is the most detail oriented, empathetic, & charismatic dentist and person. She truly is one of a kind. All of the employees at Smile SF are equally as caring and thorough. The space is beautiful and well kept. Even though it's a far drive for me from my home, I still choose to go to Smile SF because I know I will be treated with the upmost respect and receive the best possible care. I highly recommend Smile SF, Farah, and her team :)

I hate to be "that person" giving a 1-star, but I chose to come here solely based on Google reviews, so it's only fair that I'm transparent with my experience here. I was duped into thinking that this was a fair dental practice. I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years for a regular appointment, and was experiencing gum sensitivity. I made an appointment to get checked out, and paid nearly $400 for someone to take pictures of my teeth with a digital camera and tell me I needed to come back in two months for a "two hour deep clean." I had no dental insurance, but was desperate to have a healthy mouth. I paid nearly $2,000 for the promise of two full hours of deep cleaning, a check-in and follow up cleaning, and "tools to keep my mouth healthy." I thought wow, this is expensive, but sounds like I'll get my money's worth. For my "deep clean," the hygienist spent a full hour failing at numbing my mouth and seriously hurting me. I've never been to a dentist who can't numb me in 5 minutes. It was horrible and I was almost in tears. The dentist came in and said I had to get laughing gas because "you're not actually in pain you just have anxiety." So I paid an extra $55 for it. Felt everything. The "deep clean" was only 45 minutes. Not two hours. I called and complained honestly about the experience, and they just said "sorry it wasn't great, let's book your follow ups." I made it clear that I didn't want to come back for any appointment that wasn't already covered by the ~$2,000 down payment. I came in once for a brief check-in, then again for my cleaning. They charged me an additional $200~ because I had "run out of credits." I'm so upset that I ever came here and losing that much money to what felt like a regular cleaning will haunt me and my finances for awhile. Oh, and they didn't give me any "tools" to take care of my teeth. That was just another false promise to sell me.

My dentist for +5 years! Nothing to complain about . Dr Farah Sefidvash is so friendly and good at what she does. My mouth has been healthy (she regularly does all sorts of checks, e.g. cancer checks, x-rays, looking for cavities...), and my teeth are white & clean. She explains everything clearly, and is very attentive. What I also love about Smile SF: the location (I usually combine my appointment with brunch or shopping in the neighborhood), and it's an all women team! :)

Long Covid and infection burst a tooth. During the pandemic, many dentists were closed, but SmileSF was taking patients and had good reviews. The diagnosis was to address a variety of issues to give me the best chance of success with a crown on the broken tooth: Gum treatment was needed to clear infection, home care would be required to heal the gums. Next, the broken tooth was flanked by two teeth with old fillings, so those fillings were ready to be replaced, and the best time to do it would be during the clean out and installation of the new crown. I could understand it would be dicey dealing with either of those fillings later. So over the last 6 weeks I've had all this work done. The bonus is that my Long Covid episodes (which had escalated during the few weeks before my tooth burst) have subsided a great deal. Causation or correlation? Who knows? Long Covid is a mystery at this point. But many of us who had Covid-19 are having a variety of dental problems. SmileSF is practicing good protocols to keep them and we safe from re-infection. If you are cohort 2 (as I am) and episodes are increasing, checking for infection of your gums and teeth might be worthwhile. This office is struggling a bit with the Pandemic protocols, as everyone is. But they are fully equipped and careful. I would recommend Dr. Farah Sefidvash.

I'm a huge fan of Smile SF! Dr. Farah Sefidvash has been my dentist for 6 years now and I have absolutely nothing but praises for her and her team. She has a keen eye for details when it comes to oral health. I trust her and all of her dental hygienists fully. Apart from Dr. Sefidvash being a truly skilled dentist, she is kind and always makes time to connect on a personal level which feels so comforting in life but especially at the dentist's office. The office inside is well styled and always clean--professionalism that provides a sense of assurance. The location is beautiful with a glimpse of the Bay on your commute there. I actually moved further away to Bernal Heights but I still come to Smile SF because I love the community and I feel at home every time I visit! I couldn't suggest a better dentist.

My visit to have a crown put in was quick and painless. It was actually so painless I almost fell asleep in the chair even though the Dr and her assistant's fingers were in my mouth! Dr Farah had the crown fitted and installed along with a new filling done as well in way less time than I expected. Dr Farah's professionalism and good nature turn what can be a painful and scary experience in to a fun and inviting "quick visit."
