Dr. Kevin Potocsky completed his undergraduate studies at University of Michigan, then earned his DDS at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2001. He worked under his father, Dr. I. Dennis Potocsky, for a year before taking over the Allen Park office in 2002. Dr. Kevin is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Michigan Dental Association, Detroit District Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Alpha Omega Dental Club. He was recognized in an article that ran in DentalTown Magazine for his achievements with teeth bleaching.
Dr. Kevin is certified in esthetics by Nash Institute and currently attends the Dawson Academy. He is trained to administer Six Month Braces and miniature dental implants, as well. After hours, Dr. Kevin and his wife, Julie, enjoy movies and sporting events. Dr. Kevin also likes to play hockey and golf.
Dr. Douglas Shiffman became affiliated with Smile Sensations and Dr. Kevin Potocsky in December of 2016. He received his undergraduate degree in 1970 from Wayne State University and his D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan in 1974. His affiliations include life membership as a U of M Alumni, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Francis B. Vedder Crown and Bridge Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and Oakland County Dental Society. Dr. Shiffman continues to enjoy his dental practice in all phases of general dentistry. When away from the office, his joys in life include spending time with his wife Julie, his children, and four grandchildren. He enjoys watching sports, playing golf and exercise.
Dental Assistant I have 6 year of experience in the dental field. I am very blessed to have a career that I love and enjoy doing very day. Getting to be a part of enhancing a patients smile and dental health is very rewarding. Painting, reading, fishing and camping are my favorite hobbies. I have been married for ten years and have two sons and two daughters.
Treatment Coordinator My passion is to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles! She has been in the medical/dental field for over 35 years. She was a certified medical assistant and currently is CPR certified, and holds a membership to the National Office Managers Association.
Patient Care Coordinator Ive spent 11 years in dental administration and 5 years in the Navy as a dental assistant. Understanding our patients needs is my top priority. Community service is very important to me. I am a Volunteer at our local animal shelter, walk 60 miles for breast cancer every year and have received the Rose Award for Service. CPR certified. My husband and I are blessed with two adult children.
RDH I graduated in 2006 from the University of Michigan Dental in Ann Arbor with a Bachelors degree in science of Dental Hygiene. While going to school I worked as a dental assistant for 3 years. I truly love the dental path I have chosen. Its not often someone can say they enjoy coming to work, but I can. Its my second family. My amazing husband James and I have a beautiful 11 month old daughter. Family, the gym, roller skating, bowling and player euchre fills my off time. Certified in Local Anesthetic, Nitrous Oxide and CPR.
RDH Graduated from Detroit Mercy in 2004 with her Bachelor of Science and certificate of Dental Hygiene. She strives to stay up to date with the latest research pertaining to periodontal disease, treatment, and its link to overall health. 'My goal with every patient is to provide them with the highest quality care in a comfortable and friendly environment. The most rewarding part of my job is giving patients a healthy and beautiful smile.' A few of her favorite things are family, volunteering, sports, and cooking.
RDH I graduated from the University of Michigan dental hygiene program in 1999. 'With my 16 years of experience I have learned that building relationships and getting to know patients gives me great pride, as well as, helping patients maintain oral health or regain it from a diseased state.' She lives in Belleville with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with family, camping, and actively supporting her children 's extracurricular schedules.

Awesome Dentist and team, came in for molar pain and got it filled the same day. Completely painless process and the filling looks great! All of the staff were very kind and welcoming, they made me feel comfortable despite my severe fear of dental work. Great work and would highly recommend!

Crazy Karen runs out asking me to not park in the lot next to the coffee shop when there is no one else in the parking lot. Also, there are no signs saying it's parking for the dentist office. At least let me have my coffee first Karen, I can't handle you that early.

I have been going to Dr.Kevin my whole life for cleanings, extractions, etc.. I recommend eveybody I know to his practice. As soon as you walk into the door they make you feel SO comfortable. The receptionists are like family, so caring and down to earth! I have seen alot of the hygenist and I have nothing but great experiences with all of them but I have been seeing Jenica for years now and she is just the bomb. She knows exactly what I like, I could just fall asleep through a cleaning. Most people hate the dentist but ever since I was a little girl, ( which I only ever been to Dr.Kevin ) I love getting my regular cleanings and will be a forever paitent.

I feel like he is really expensive. $100 for missed appointment and they have overcharged me on accident before. Granted he does fantastic work,I used to be a patient of his father's practice and they are nice people. I found a dentist that does good work for cheaper. The staff is nice but they over charged me so I had a credit. $400 for fillings when another dentist said my teeth look fine and not to do all this unnecessary drilling. The new dentist even filed my chip down for free. When I ask dr potosky in the past if he could he said he would but never did. Thank God he didnt he would probably charge me for that too.

I had an amazing experience today from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted warmly at the front desk. My hygentis was super nice, very helpful, and all around great. Dr. Kevin came in promptly and explained everything and did great work. He continued to make sure I was comfortable and doing ok while the procedure was in process. I even recieved a personal phone call to make sure that I was doing ok from the Dr. a few hours after leaving. I will continue to keep coming back! Highly recommend! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Worst experience in my life! Constantly trying to convince me I needed services that I actually didn't. The hygienist made me feel as if I were speaking with an overly aggressive car salesman. After multiple times telling her no I do not agree to have 4 cleanings a year and have paradontal treatment she kept aggressively telling me yes you need to have this done. I went to another dentist and never mentioned anything about my previous experience and they found nothing. No cavities, no gum disease and no reason I should get 4 cleanings a year. Beware if you plan on getting any treatment here. They will play nice for the first couple visits then it's game on
