I have been greeting patients at Smile San Clemente since 2016, as one of the first faces you see when you walk in the door. I hold a BA in English and Psychology, and fully admit I probably couldn't tell you what color your eyes are, but could describe your front teeth to you in detail. I spend my off time volunteering for the Ark of San Juan Animal Rescue as their Kitten Coordinator (ask me about fostering!), playing softball, and riding my road bike. I readily admit that some of my favorite people in the whole wide world are my fabulous co-workers and of course, Dr. M.!
My name is Alicia Reyes, everyone usually calls me Ali. I was born and raised in San Clemente, attended San Clemente High School, Saddleback Community College, & Cal State Fullerton. I have been in the dental field for 13 years and began my career as a dental assistant and transitioned into front office management. My goal in the office is to make sure our patients are comfortable by helping them understand their dental benefits in relation to treatment. In my free time I enjoy: traveling, camping / backpacking, and reading.
My name is Brandy Byron and I have been in the dental field for 28 years. I began as a Registered Dental Assistant then furthered my education and received a degree in Dental Hygiene from Cypress College in 2001. I enjoy helping people and making them feel comfortable in the dental office. In my free time I enjoy road biking and traveling.
Im Lisa Russell and I live right here in beautiful Capistrano Beach. Ive been a registered dental assistant for over 30 years. I love working with people and helping our patients feel at ease with their dental experience. Ive been married for 34 years and have two wonderful sons. When not working, I also enjoy long walks with my dogs, working out at the gym, cooking, entertaining friends, and spending time with my family. I look forward to many more years of taking care of our wonderful patients.
My name is Shahin Mahallati and you could say that I have Dentistry 'in my blood'. My father, brother, and three of my cousins are all dentists, and I enjoy practicing dentistry. I was born in Iran, but moved to the United States as a teenager. I graduated from USC in 1995 and moved to Orange County in 1997.
I have extensive continuing education in Orthodontics and Implant Dentistry. I enjoy helping people achieve and maintain the smile that they want while providing an enjoyable work environment for my employees. My background in engineering and my love for learning has helped me stay at the forefront of technology in our practice.

I'm from out of town visiting the OC area for the next few months and needed an obvious cavity taken care of. The office was able to get me in the same afternoon and take care of my concerns, without feeling any judgement for neglecting my dental health over the past few years. I'm excited to return for a full exam and treatment plan. Thank you all!!

My first experience at Smile was nothing but perfect! All the staff and Dr. Mahallati we so nice and helpful. I had a terrible experience at my previous clinic with an attempted wisdom tooth extraction, but Dr. Mahallati gave me great reassurance and was patient will all my questions. So much so, that I went through with it that same day! The process was fast and practically painless! I am so grateful for all the helpful staff and look forward to going back for future appointments. I 100% recommend this practice!

Dr.Mahallati has been my dentist for over 20yrs. I have followed him to wherever he has gone. I love the family atmosphere smile San Clemente provides. Ali, Lisa, and Brandi are always so pleasant to deal with. If you are looking for a dentist that cares about the patient first Dr. Mahallati is your choice. My family and I travel from Fontana to see him.

My experience with Dr. Mahallati has been nothing short of incredible! I had braces as a kid but stopped wearing my retainers as an early adult so my teeth shifted back towards their original crookedness - I noticed myself smiling less and less. Dr. Mahallati provided me with a simple and effective Invisalign plan that completely transformed my smile. From beginning to end, he and his fabulous staff were there to help me with any questions I had about the process, answering constant phone calls and giving me the information I needed to properly wear my trays. Dr. Mahallati is the most amazing, knowledgeable, and caring dentist I've ever been to. Thank you to him and the Smile San Clemente team! Now I can't stop smiling :)

I think this is one of the best dental offices in Orange County! Dr. Mahallati is amazing. Always kind, detail oriented and extremely good at what he does without hurting lol! His office staff and dental assistant and hygienist are also amazing. I would highly recommend them!!

Great visit. They helped me get in and out quickly so I could make it back to work. I like the text reminder system also so I can reschedule if needed and don't miss an appointment. Brandi does a great job! As a patient at this practice for many years, I have been very happy with the transition to Dr. Mahallati.
