Hello, everyone! Id like to introduce myself to all my future patients and their families. I was born in Pennsylvania but moved to Georgia when I was about six months old. It was great growing up in a small town where everyone knew each other and I could ride my bike from one side of town to the other. When I was fourteen, my family decided to move to Gainesville, Florida. I pursued my studies in high school and also continued climbing the ranks of Boy Scouts. I attained the rank of Eagle Scout in my senior year of high school. To this day it is one of my most cherished accomplishments after years of hard work and adventures starting in the first grade. I graduated from Buchholz High School in 1998 as a top graduatethen went on to the University of Florida where I majored in Nutritional Sciencesand minored in Zoology and Business. I graduated in 2002 with honors andstarted dental school at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. I had anincredibly enriching experience at UFCD both academically and personally. Iwent on two dental mission trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic toprovide free dental care to impoverished communities.
Before graduating from dental school in 2006, I was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and chosen for the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence by my dental school professors.
After graduating from dental school, I packed my bags and moved away from my folks to begin my residency in pediatric dentistry in San Antonio, Texas. It is one of the premier programs in pediatric dentistry where I received specialized training in several areas, including treating children who are medically compromised; performing treatment under oral conscious sedation and general anesthesia for children too young or unable to cooperate; performing interceptive orthodontics, and dealing with dental emergencies and trauma.
After graduating in 2008, I moved to Dallas and joined a private clinic in Bedford. In 2010, I became a board-certified pediatric dentist after passing a comprehensive written and oral exam. In 2015, growing tired of the long commute and longing for a sense of community at work, I embarked on building my own practice in my backyard of East Dallas. I look forward to working with all the families in this vibrant neighborhood and having Smile Safari contribute to our local area. Excellent staff and caring dentist! I'm so happy to have found this pediatric dentist for my son. My son was under the care of another dentist for about 3 years. During one of the visits with the previous dentist she told me he needed anywhere from 6-8 silver caps. I didn't understand why he needed that many as we came to his check-ups every 6 months. She also wanted to put my son to sleep for the procedure because it would help her get it done quicker. My anxiety quickly kicked in and for months I searched around and ran across this dentist. It took about a good 2 months before we could get in to our appt but it was well worth it. Dr. Shanadi quickly accessed my son and gave us the correct treatment plan. My son only needed one silver cap! I'm so happy I did my research. I also love that the parents get to come back and sit during the whole process as some dentist offices don't allow. Thank you Dr. Shanadi and your staff. You are truly gifted!

Got my son's white caps put on here in 2019. Forgot to write a review being pregnant and life happening! My son had a after a terrible fall plus breastfeeding for to long his teeth were black and broken alot of dentist wanted to pull them out or give him silvers. Dr s gave me a breath of fresh air to offer whites im so grateful he was able to have a WHITE smile through the last part of his toddler years he's 6 now and they fell out and his new teeth grew in strong white and HAPPY THANK YOU DR. S FOR ACCEPTING MEDICAID we are SO GRATEFUL !!!!

Dr. Shanadi and his staff are so warm and professional. I think as a mom I was more nervous than my daughter with changing dentists but they exceeded my expectations. This was her first cleaning and X-rays, at her previous dentist she's only had exams. She just turned 4. My daughter had fun at her appointment and can't wait to tell her friends about her trip to the dentist at school tomorrow. Smile Safari's hygienists handled her with care and have a way with children. Also, they educated us on ways to improve our daughter's diet to prevent cavities. Luckily she hasn't had any to date, but things like even organic snacks contain sugar, helped us as parents with planning her meals and snacks. We have found our perfect match in pediatric dentistry at Smile Safari!

Very disappointed with the work that was provided on my children. First and foremost we were at the dental office for 4 hrs for 2 children "due to the work they needed done." It was a horrible experience for my children. Before this dental appointment they loved the dentist because their primary provider makes sure that they're comfortable and doesn't overwhelm them with too much at a time which is what happened at this place. My kids had an appointment about a week ago and their still complaining about pain. My daughter says now that she drinks anything cold that it feels like when the dentist was using that machine on her which angers me because my kids told me that they spoke up and the dentist and dental assistant dismissed their feelings and continued working. Unfortunately I wasn't in the room otherwise things would've gone way different. I had to be with my other child due to having to take a medicine to sedate them which was useless obviously not to mention that the dentist was seeing other children when my kids were scheduled at the exact same time so from my perspective he had too much going on and wasn't focused on making the children's visit pleasant he was just trying to get them in and out. Very disappointed in this place and don't plan on ever returning!
