I once met a 10-year-old boy who was extremely afraid of going to the dentisthe wouldnt even come into the office. It took 30 minutes for my office manager to convince this boy to come in and let me take a look at his teeth. I simply told him that I would ONLY look at his teeth and if anything hurt he could raise his hand and I would stop. That first exam showed severe dental decay and very poor oral hygiene.

We planned with treat him with a mild sedation to help relieve his anxiety. We finished half the needed work on the first visit. He was amazed at how easy and comfortable it was. I gradually built his trust by treating him with respect and keeping him pain free. I explained to him what I was doing at each stepallowing him to be an active participant in his own care. His confidence would grow with each visit and now he knows that coming to the dentist can be fun and pain-free!

Most parents and guardians of little children, if not all, are greatly concerned about the growth and development of children's teeth especially in this day and age where almost any food available in groceries and restaurants are loaded with sugar and or sucrose which greatly contribute to the formation of cavities, eventually resulting to tooth decay. From the time that the first set of baby teeth comes out, pediatric dentists would already heavily advise parents to start a religious and proper care routine of their children's teeth to ensure that the proper development of these important part of a child's mouth are done with the right techniques and required consistency. Caring for baby and children's teeth takes a lot of effort since children are not expected to care for their own set due to their limitations in capacity and information. That is why until children reach the stage where they are capable to care for their own teeth comes, the weight of the call rests on the shoulders of the parents. It is for this reason that proper oral care for children begins with choosing the right dental office which houses the best pediatric dentists who will be the partner of parents in ensuring that their children's oral care are safeguarded. Las Vegas Children's Dentist is a dynamic and vibrant supporter in the campaign against early onset of tooth decay in children's teeth. Certified and competent, this Dentist for kids in Las Vegas, very carefully and thoroughly instruct and teach good oral care to parents and children. This dentist follows the best practices in worldwide standards and features state of the art dental equipment that allows not only for the best oral care of each patient but also creating an environment that is friendly and accommodating to kids and children who frequent this pediatric dentist office in Las Vegas.

To begin early oral care for babies, a competent and friendly Las Vegas dentist from a reputable pediatric dentist office will advise that even before the eruption of the teeth, a child's mouth and gums should be wiped after meals with a clean, soft damp cloth to make sure that excess food would not linger in the mouth. These excess foods when left in a moist area like the mouth would form bacteria which would eventually get lodged in the baby's first set of teeth triggering the beginning of tooth decay. A meticulous and caring kids dentist in Las Vegas would also advise that to prevent the onset of pre-mature cavities, it is best to give babies plain water when sipping at bedtime to prevent baby formula - which sometimes contain sugar - from settling in the mouth which also invites cavity formation. Once the first set of baby teeth comes out, the practice of brushing should also commence, normally beginning with soft bristled baby toothbrush combined with a non-fluoride toothpaste or even just plain warm water to gently clean every part of the emerging teeth. A licensed Las Vegas children's dentist is a strong support in making sure that these early oral care regimens are done by the parents regularly to avoid unnecessary formation of tooth decay that could prove to be costly to take away using dental procedures. Children's dentist in Las Vegas recommends that children's toothbrushes should be replaced every two to three months taking special note of the appearance of the head bristles to make sure that they still serve their purpose of thoroughly cleaning the teeth. There are several pediatric dentist in Las Vegas so one must be very careful to choose the best, and the best pediatric dental clinic must not only be concerned about treatment but more so on prevention methods. So far Las Vegas pediatric dentistry is a cut above all other pediatric clinics because of its practices on preventative measures that do away with costly teeth drilling and fillings.

Children develop their baby teeth as preparatory ground for the eruption of the final adult teeth which they would use for the rest of their lives. Many parents feel that since baby teeth would still be replaced, they could be more relaxed in spearheading for their children's oral care. But this is very far from the truth since the condition and health of the baby teeth would also greatly determine the condition and health of the permanent teeth. Parents are advised that the first visit of their children to the dentist should happen when babies are 12 months old and prior coaching such as open your mouth or saying 'ahhh' must be done to avoid too much time on the dental chair which might be very scary for some kids. Dental patients could rest assured that reputable pediatric dentist in Las Vegas would be more concerned with prevention but would also be very competent when treatment is necessary. A parent could expect that a children's dentist in Las Vegas is well trained in handling children especially the first timers who might have reservations in seeing a dentist for the first time let alone open their mouth for a stranger. But the first visits to the dentist are crucial because those are the times when good oral plan is discussed aside from giving out the message to the children that dentists are friends not enemies to increase their trust and confidence with them. A well trained dentist for kids in Las Vegas would also discuss the availability of important pediatric care such as the application of fluoride and sealants that help protect baby teeth from plaque and cavities. The substance fluoride help make the teeth stronger by protecting them from the initiation of dental caries and tooth decay while at the same time re-mineralizing areas of the teeth that get weakened by acid coming from leftover food or juices which the children consume.

Las Vegas pediatric dentistry is known as one of the best pediatric dentistry all over the United States which practices not only the best dental techniques using state of the art equipment, a Las Vegas dentist also has the best techniques and rapport with children patients giving them a wonderful experience inside the clinic that helps ensure repeat comebacks for consistent and thorough oral care. Las Vegas pediatric patients could expect that as they step inside a Las Vegas pediatric dentist office they would experience the best pre and post care evaluations not to mention above standard procedures including the application of necessary treatments that are non-threatening, very friendly and truly professional. Extremely rude staff and doctor! We were very rushed! My son was very nervous to have a tooth pulled and got a bit upset when they were rushing to get started! The doctor came in and didn't say anything except telling my son to calm down ...

If I could put a negative amount of stars I would. VERY disrespectful employees and they falsely advertise. We drove 400+ miles to take out five year old and it was the worst experience for him and our family.

It was difficult finding the right dentist however, after my daughter's first visit, I knew Smile Reef would be my child's new dental home. Dr. Jensen is very professional, knowledgeable and kind with great chair-side manner. The office is underwater themed and accompanied by a fish tank that my daughter looks forward to seeing at every visit! By far the best dental experience we've had. I highly recommend Dr. Jensen!

Whoever is in the front answering calls and making the appointments has to reevaluate her life. Isabel and whoever the other coworker is need to be more professional and courteous. Always answering with an attitude and to no resolve. They even hung the phone on me. All because I needed a reschedule.

When I took my son (who is 3) to his FIRST dentist visit it did not go well at all. Firstly I understand that they have ways to work and talk to the patients / children, but in my opinion you might want to ease into the child's mouth and not force your way in. The nurse was nice who did his X-rays and attempted his cleaning. He is very sensitive with his gag reflexes so he did begin to gag to the point of throwing up. So there went the cleaning, when the dr came in to look at his teeth he didn't introduce himself, he didn't try to even talk to my son. He went right in . In the end he said "we're going to have to give him anesthesia in order to work" I asked if there is any other option because I wasn't comfortable going straight to having my son knocked out , and he said no. Then my next question was "can I stay in the room with him" and he LAUGHED IN MY FACE & then told me "what for? Are you a nurse" and continued laughing. At that point I knew for a fact I would NEVER return. Very unprofessional, and he made me very very uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone , ever.

First of all when i called to schedule the apoint for my boys... They told me i had no fee... Oh yeah when i got there they said oh there is a 25.00 fee. Just seems like this place has no communication with staff. Let alone clients.

Just booked an appointment for my kids and the receptionist Larissa did a great job, she answered all my concerning questions and made me feel as if my children would be in good hands. Looking forward to my appointment.

Took my daughter in for a cleaning and felt a little rushed by the staff. I was impressed with their protocol for covid. The cleaning went well however, when the doctor came in he rushed and was not warm or friendly. He did not introduce himself and said nothing to my daughter. He literally went right to the problems and how much money was needed came shortly after with an emphasis on using anesthesia on my 4 year old. Of course that is concerning to any parent...but there was no real desire to talk to me about it until I requested more information after he quickly left. Needless to say I trust my instincts and feel that this doctor is not good with children and I would not feel comfortable having him work on my child. Money was the most important issue with this office and not my child's well being. I would not recommend this office and we will not be returning.

This place is Cute, but honestly it took me longer to drive there (15mins) then it did for them to get us in and quickly send us out. Not impressed! My (3yr) sons gums were very swollen and red so I took him for his First dentist appointment. I was glad they could get us in same day as I called, but thought it was a little weird that they scheduled us at 4:30 and they close at 5. But the dentist. Dr. Lamb, was nice but he took one look at my son's gums,(and I Do mean ONE Quick look) said its this, there isnt anything we can do about it, you just have to ride it out and was GONE (actually went home for the day) before I could even ask Any questions or really say Anything at all! I spent the next 5-10mins finishing filling out paperwork and was sent on our way. Definitely would Not recommend and will Not be coming back!

Would not recommend if you want your young child's dentist experience to be pleasant. It was my daughters first time at this office. Naturally, as a 3 year old, she was very hesitant and shy. The staff seemed more in a hurry to get her appointment done at the expense of her feeling safe and comfortable. The staff rushed her, would not let me help get her set up for the X rays (she had to walk down a hallway with strangers to get them done). They were impatient with her, and the dentist didn't really seem too good with kids either and just rushed in and out and didn't even introduce himself. Will not be going back here. I thought as a pediatric dentistry they would be competent and friendly around kids.

Love this dentist! I was actually referred here by a friend and have not had any complaints. The staff are friendly and are interactive with the children. They provide great but quick service!

My 2 year old cracked his front tooth and was in extreme pain, crying all night. They refused to see him because they had no openings, even for emergencies. The girl who answered said I had to change dentist so somebody could see him sooner even though I've been taking him and all my other kids there for years!

I've been to this location a total of three times. Each time the doctor was very nice and knowledgeable. Also gave good tips about better oral care for my daughter. If you are just looking for an experienced doctor to work on your child, this is the place. But on the other hand, for this to be a children's dentist office, there is no compassion or empathy, especially with the receptionist. My daughter was not feeling well and this was conveyed to the receptionist the day before her surgery. She still insisted on bringing my daughter for treatment even though she had to be heavily sedated. The next morning was rough getting her to the appointment as she had trouble breathing due to asthma and she had beginning symptoms of a cold. If you have kids obviously, you know the struggles. We were running late to the appointment and spoke to the receptionist that morning as well to let her know. Instead of accommodating us and rescheduling my daughter to a different day as she was not feeling well, I was charged for being late and then was told she would have not been seen anyways due to not being able to be sedated with her breathing problems. No one suggested a better way to go about the issue, just wanted an extra $55 from me. Also was told only the doctor can determine if it's safe for treatment and I, as a concerned mother, was not able to determine if I felt it was safe or comfortable. I am grateful that the doctor is trustworthy with his experience, but the customer service definitely needs to be improved. ESPECIALLY FOR A CHILDREN'S DENTIST OFFICE. First impressions are a lot, especially when it comes to my child.
