Dr. Alan C. Jensen earned his dental degree from the University of Oklahoma and his Masters of Science in Orthodontics degree, from Baylor University. He is a member of theUtah Dental Association, theRocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, theAmerican Association of Orthodontics,and the J. Dean Roberts Society. Dr. Jensen and his family are active in community affairs. He has practiced orthodontics in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas since 1988. He also enjoys golf, wakeboarding, skiing, and all other outdoor activities.
Ive been practicing in Utah for 30+ years Long enough to lose my hair. I attended Utah University, completed Dental school in Oklahoma, and my orthodontic residency at Baylor Im red through and through! I enjoy the process of watching patients start and finish their treatment- Ive been told I straighten not only teeth but minds too. I am the proud father to 3 doctors and have 9 grandchildren that are even better!
Dr. Anderson went to dental school at Baylor University in Dallas. Then, he earned his masters degree in craniofacial biology/orthodontics at Baylor. Dr. Anderson has been part of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, Utah Association of Orthodontists, the Utah Dental Society, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, and the Northern Utah Orthodontic Study Group. Dr. Anderson and his wife Lorraine reside in South Jordan and have four children, two sons-in law, and four beautiful grandchildren. Family hobbies include enjoying the mountains on ATVs, having friends over for a swim and some great BBQ, attending concerts and plays, and traveling all over the world. Dr. Anderson enjoys woodworking and has done some beautiful projects in their home and yard.
Treatment Coordinator Ive been treatment coordinating with Dr. J for over 27 years, but whos counting? My husband and I have grown 3 children that Im very proud of and one adorable fur baby. I tend to be the go-to for planning and parties- my weekends are busy. As a family, we love four-wheeling and being outdoors.
Financial Coordinator Ive been with Dr. J for over 17 years. I have two grown daughters and 4 beautiful grandkids. Who knew I could love being a Grandma this much?! If Im not working youll find me bobbing at my favorite lake.
Scheduling Coordinator You will see Mandi at the front desk, right as you come in. She always has a smile to greet our patients with. Mandi and her husband are the proud parents of three beautiful children. Her children are still young and keep her very busy. We are glad to have her as part of the team.
Front Desk/Assistant Hello! Ive been with Dr. J for over a decade. Ive been married for 16 years with 3 kids- they keep us busy with football, horses, and life. I love music, camping, and laughing. I have been told more than once to be quiet in this office- always with love!
Assistant Ive been an assistant for Dr. J for 7 years. I enjoy running, having completed my first marathon in 2021! Ive been married for 8 years, with one adorable furr baby Grizz. As a family, we love hiking, camping, and shed hunting.

Marketing Krissi has been working with Dr. Jensen for 24 years! Krissi and her husband Jeff have two children that keep them happy and busy. Krissi grew up in Idaho. As a small child, Krissi had a horse that could count by tapping his foot on the ground and could also fetch his own saddle. Krissi is very creative and loves to entertain friends and family at her beautiful new house.
Ive been in the dental world for 5 years and 1 of those with Dr. J. I enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, climbing, and playing pickleball. Basically anything outdoors! I enjoy my downtime with my two pups.

Smile Ranch SLC has been great. My child needed orthodontics and they do great work with competitive prices. The most notable factor however is how flexible and easy to work with they have been. They're accommodating when appointments need rescheduling, they helped me navigate my insurance options, and they allowed a payment plan. They even helped arrange it so that my ex-wife and I can pay our halves of the costs individually as directly, sparing us the rigmarole of having to go back and forth with each other all the time. I highly recommend.

The professionalism and care taken by all staff members has been wonderful. Ease of making appointments is sometimes a challenge but mesh their availability with ours is more the challenge and Smile Ranch does their best to be as accommodating as possible in these situations. Appointments time- to wait times- to time spent during the appointment is reasonable and efficient. Overall our experience has been positive. Thanks Smile Ranch Orthodontics!

Our experience has been great. The assistants are kind and knowledgeable. Dr Jensen knows what he's doing. Appts are fast. I got quotes at a few places and felt best about this one. The staff just made me so comfortable. We go to the Millcreek office and I love the local art they use to decorate the office. Almost done with child #2. Oh and you can get the clear brackets for the same price as metal. Some of my daughter's friends are jealous that their parents didn't pick our ortho because of that!

Very happy with the work, service and out come from Dr. Jensen and his team. Currently working with Smile Ranch with our second/last child and he is trying Invisalign. I'm very happy that Invisalign was an option as my son has issues with pain and "stuff in his mouth" and treatment is going great so far!

Got my second set of braces off today and couldn't be happier with how my teeth look!! I was so picky with every little thing which extended the length of my braces by a year but dr Anderson was always so kind and so patient with me and genuinely wanted me to be happy with my teeth.

I went in for a second opinion, after having gone somewhere else. I was called back near 10 minutes after my appointment time, and after the pictures were taken, was left sitting and waiting for the doctor for 25 minutes. I was told that he was putting on braces for another patient, and he'd be in "soon". I had an appointment. I wasn't a walk-in. They knew I was coming, but weren't ready. Yes, I understand that things happen, and getting behind is common in offices, usually because of other patients, but still. When the doctor finally came in, he was super friendly, and easy to talk to. No complaints about him, at all! It was the woman who was explaining the financial part of things. When told that I work part-time, she pried WAY too much into my personal life. "Well, what do you do in the afternoon? Oh, nothing? You don't have another job? Why do you only work part-time?" Not one single condescending question was relevant for orthodontic care, and it was none of her business, anyway! Then, I was told that my treatment would take TWICE as long as the other place I'd been, and a solid $1,000 more! Always, always, ALWAYS get at least TWO opinions before deciding on which facility to use. I'd really recommend checking out other options.
