Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Katie's dreams changed often. Depending on the day, she wanted to be a veterinarian, an astronaut, a paleontologist, a concert violinist, and even a Broadway star.
Dr. Katie made her final career choice and earned her DDS degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. She earned the Alpha Omega award for the highest graduating GPA. She was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the dental honors society.
As a mother of three little girls, most of Dr. Katie's free time is spent playing dress-up, coloring, pretending to be a mermaid, and cleaning up glitter crafts. When she has the chance, she enjoys playing the violin, weight-lifting, and running.
On the weekends, you can often find her with family and friends. Sometimes that means fishing or wakeboarding at the lake, camping, hiking, or visiting family in the mountains for a chance to play in the snow and share her tips for making the perfect s'mores.
Dr. Katie Snapp is a trained and experienced orthodontist. Orthodontists are dentists who go on to receive additional training. Out of 100 dental school graduates, on average, only six go on to become orthodontists.
Dr. Katie will review your photos and X-rays to find the best way to treat your individual needs. Then youll choose the type of braces you wantmetal, ceramic, silver or gold. You can also choose custom clear Invisalign aligners.
The days of painful headgear, clunky bands on every tooth and overly tight stainless steel wires are long gone! Today's orthodontic treatment is much more comfortable than it used to be. This is because of shape-memory NiTi wires.
With the same technology that NASA uses, NiTi wires exert a continuous force against the teeth to move them in the right direction. This gets rid of the need for wire tightening. This means you spend less time in braces, and the time you do spend is more comfortable.

I just love coming here every month and we live all the way in Spring. The staff is wonderful and in high spirits every time we visit and very professional. Dr. Snapp is so sweet and personable with my daughter and an expert at what she does! Office is beautiful, crisp, clean and modern. My daughter's cross bite is a memory now! Will bring my other two children here for their orthodontic treatment. Wouldn't think of taking them anywhere else! Thank you Smile Ranch
