Shreya Desai, DDS Dr. Shreya Desai double-majored in biology and chemistry in her undergraduate studies before attending dental school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, graduating with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013. She has practiced in the Camp Hill area since her graduation. Dr. Desai regularly completes continuing education courses in order to stay at the forefront of her field and provide her patients with the most excellent care possible. She has received advanced training in a number of areas, including nitrous oxide sedation, and has received a Top Dentist award.As a dentist, her goal is to treat her patients with compassion, professionalism and a gentle touch. She loves to help put people at ease and make their experience as comfortable and pain-free as possible.Dr. Desai is very close to her family. Many of her family members live in the Harrisburg area, and she spends a lot of time with her nieces and nephews. Dr. Desais hobbies including traveling to beautiful places and learning new things.
Bhoomi Parikh, DMD Dr. Bhoomi Parikh completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pacific, majoring in biomedical engineering and minoring in advanced mathematics. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2009 with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Bhoomi began practicing in New York in 2009 and moved to the Camp Hill area in 2014. She completed continuing education courses monthly and has received advanced training, including a general practice residency at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY (2009-2010), and a dental anesthesia residency at the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn (2010-2012).As a dentist, Dr. Parikh makes it her mission to serve the community in which she lives and works and to continually progress as a practitioner in order to provide excellent care. She is committed to being as gentle and friendly as possible with her patients.Dr. Parikh and her husband have twins. Outside of the office, she enjoys travel, movies and music.
Nelvia Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Nelvia has been with our team since the first day our office opened in 2014. She is originally from Mexico. After graduating from high school, she moved to the United States and attended HACC, where she achieved her dental assistant certificate. She later launched herself into the Expanded Function Assistant Program at KTI. She enjoys working with patients from different countries and forming relationships with the people we care for. Nelvia loves helping patients feel comfortable with their smiles and does everything she can to help anxious patients feel relaxed and at home.Nelvia has two beautiful, grown-up children, one son and one daughter. Her son is attending college and majoring in civil engineering while her daughter is currently in the eighth grade. Nelvia enjoys spending time with her fianc and her daughter, shopping, exercising, watching culinary shows and participating in religious activities.
Ruth Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Ruth as been with Smile Plus Dentistry since we opened in 2014. She is trained as a dentist and is currently working toward earning her license to practice in the United States. Ruth loves the diversity and mix of cultures within our team and our practice. She is an outgoing person and works to help both children and parents feel at home in our office so they can receive the care they need. Ruth is bilingual in English and Spanish and is helpful to those who need care in our office.Ruth loves her family and does everything possible to be with them. She feels blessed to have her loved ones near in her day-to-day life. She and her husband have a four-year-old son, and her father recently moved in with them from their birth country. Ruths priority outside of our office is spending time with her son. They love outdoor activities and after-school programs such as art and swimming lessons. She also enjoys good Hispanic music.
Hailey Receptionist Hailey is the friendly face that greets our patients and schedules them for their visits to our office. She has a degree in photography and videography and plans to go back to school to study dental hygiene or business communications. She enjoys working with diverse group of successful women at Smile Plus Dentistry and working with our patients to give them the best smiles possible. When Hailey is not at the office she enjoys art, photography, shopping and spending time with friends.
Kya EFDA Kya attended KTI, graduating in 2012. She has been a dental assistant for six years, and received her EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant) license in 2018. She joined our team here at Smile Plus in November 2018. She enjoys that our team is like one big family and appreciates that we all love what we do. Kya brings a positive with her every day, and enjoys making people smile and helping them improve their oral health. Kya has two small children, and took a two-year hiatus from dental assisting to take care of them prior to joining our team. In her spare time, her favorite thing to do is bake.

Wanted a $25 fee for cancelling an 8 am appointment late, and wouldn't let me reschedule another appointment until the $25 was paid. Ridiculous. Unprofessional. Also, I've never heard of "flouride foam" being put on a child's teeth. Who rubs foam on a child's teeth? You're supposed to "paint" the flouride on with a small brush. Cheap, money hungry, unprofessional, rude!

This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST. I took my son here because they were the only ones accepting new patients during covid and he need his teeth cleaned. So then I decided to give it a try. I called to make my appt and gave them my insurance info. I went to the appt and they had waiting for 45 min. Then they called me up to the desk to tell me they don't accept my insurance. So two hours wasted. Then I call to reschedule my sons appt. Well over 24 hours notice and they want to charge a 25$ cancellation fee and they want a 25$ deposit in order to schedule a new appt. Not to mention the level of professionalism is very low considering I heard them making fun of a client who didn't speak English very well. Very poor taste. Addendum: because you replied with lies and/or don't know what your staff says on the phone: when h called to reschedule your receptionist put me on his for someone else. THAT person told me they would have to assess a 25.00 cancellation fee and 25.00 deposit in Order to reschedule the appointment. Maybe that's a side hustle. REGARDING THE INSURANCE, perhaps your staff should advise people upfront and not schedule them, waste their time and then tell them that you don't take insurance while trying to charge them out of pocket. As for making fun of people that is also true and poor taste on the part of your staff.

My daughters have high anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and since we have came to smiles plus in camp hill the don't mind going. The staff is friendly the office is very neat and clean and most of all they make my daughters feel very comfortable. We drive an hr and 20 min to come here.

Considering the time they have taken to work with my child to get her used to the dentist, I can't give a one star, but I am finding a new provider. The past few years I've felt our family has slowly turned into a dollar sign and the more people they see, they more they make. The pre-appointment paperwork, though it might be convenient for some, is not for me as it adds just another to do item to my already large list and thus more stress. To top it off, when we arrived, we were informed that masks were mandatory to enter. No problem, but where we just came from it was not, and we forgot to grab ours. Then we are informed that it would be $1 for one of theirs. NOPE not paying that. First off, if you make it mandatory, you have to provide them free of charge. Secondly, and this is the kicker, while I'm being told this by the receptionist, the receptionist didn't have a mask on nor did the customer she was checking out! I have no problem wearing a mask, but don't pick and choose who gets to and who has to pay for something you require.

Thank you so much Dr. Desai and Dr. Parikh for your help in recovering from my tooth pain. They are the greatest dentist I have ever seen. I was always afraid of dental procedures but smile plus made it very easy for me. I would highly recommend this place to any one who has dental problem and I registered this as my personal dentistry.

They NO LONGER accept Gateway Health Insurance... Star rating change from 5 to 2! Still looking for a new dental group for my teen daughter. Very disappointed! __________________________________________ Beyond a "5-Star" Rating! Celebrity treatment from the moment we arrived, straight through to the minute we left! Absolutely unlike any other Dental (or Doctor) visit I have EVER been to... With zero wait time!! Our personal experience: My 13 year-old daughter and I were greeted immediately upon arrival. As new patients, we were given a tour of the entire facility, which included their prestigious wall of credentials for the Dental Practioners. We were then guided into a cozy consultation room to complete the required paperwork in a private and confidential environment. We were even offered water or a cup of coffee while filling out the papers! Upon completion of the paperwork, we were guided to the procedure room and began to take x-rays, which were displayed on the television screen for us to see. After the x-rays, they handed my daughter the "Comfort Menu" (check pictures for options) and a pair of safety goggles. -- Side note: As a parent who has been to many Doctor/Dental offices, I was starting to wonder if we accidentally walked into a resort, because they were treating us like royalty! -- They cleaned and sealed my daughter's teeth (not a single cavity yet ). Less than 15 minutes later we were done and escorted to the front desk, where the receptionists already had all of our paperwork ready, (including a referral based on who accepts our insurance!) and scheduled our next appointment. Every aspect of our visit was centered around the level of comfort my daughter was experiencing. There was absolutely NO time spent waiting.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist and I avoid it like the plague. I ran into an issue that needed attention and figured it was time to find a new dentist, as I wasn't pleased with my last one. I went on my insurance's website and found Smile Plus. I read the reviews and figured I'd give them a try. I called and scheduled an appointment for two days after my call and was shocked by their availability. I went in today, absolutely nervous and was quickly put at ease. Their practices in place for COVID are excellent. I was made comfortable right away by my hygienist letting me know there's no reason to be nervous. I was offered several options to make my time more pleasant like essential oils, music, a neck pillow, Netflix, etc. The appointment was actually an overall pleasant experience and I look forward to continuing this new relationship!

Very friendly staff. I have a daughter need to be seen right away. She was new patient got her in next day. My son got to be seen right away. Very helpful. Place is clean and safe. Works with children insurance.

This has been my family's dentist for years. They were wonderful with my children as they were younger, as they went through their teens and now as my older kids are now young adults! They eased any fears of the dentist when they had them. I just love and appreciate every staff member for all the hard work they do. Working with all of my insurance issues and for just being kind human beings. If I could give them more stars I would. - best dentist in town!!!!! With covid I hadn't been inside the office in a year and a half. These ladies were open and seeing patients when they were allowed to and were so professional. It is always clean and safe there, but now more so. I will never go anywhere else.

Made an appointment as a new patient, was directed to complete new patient paperwork online. Most was boilerplate. It was the last page that made me cancel my appointment. They want you to leave your credit card or debit card on file so that can automatically charge it if your insurance doesn't cover your entire visit...and they will charge you an additional fee if they have to bill you. First of all this is a clear violation of PCI Compliance rules! I'm sure their bank would love to know they have people's sensitive credit card information uploaded from their non-secure website! Secondly, billing for non-covered insurance balances is just part of doing business, yet they've tried to monetize this by charging to charge you! I've never encountered any other medical or dental practice with this policy. No wonder they were one of the few offices I called that had instant availability.

Place is a joke called them this morning looking for an emergency appointment to have a tooth pulled explained that to the receptionist multiple times and she still scheduled me with a dr that doesn't pull teeth then they told me I could come back tomorrow, after already loosing multiple hours from my work and the $115 bucks to tell me the tooth needs pulled l. what a rip off I'll be disputing the charges on my credit card. Save your money and find a different place
