Dr. D, as hes referred to by his patients and team, has earned an excellent reputation as a skilled clinician, who brings a genuine kindness and enthusiasm to pediatric dentistry that his patients and their parents appreciate.
As a parent himself, Dr. D knows the value of a positive first dental experience. He and his team have dedicated their careers to creating those positive experiences, striving to exceed your expectations by providing quality dental care, in a comfortable and fun setting.
A native Californian, Dr. Danielson grew up in the Bay Area, and is a graduate of Brigham Young University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, and completed his Pediatric Dental Residency at Boston University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Danielson and his wife Julie are the parents of their four favorite patients. When not taking care of teeth, you might see him coaching on the soccer field, out for a run with his dog Marlie, or boating on Folsom Lake with his family. He loves the great outdoors and enjoys anything on the camping spectrum from backpacking to car camping, and has most recently taken up participating in Spartan Races.

Staff are always kind, understanding and efficient. Dr. Danielson is wonderful! He is thorough and speaks to the children so they understand what they need to do to keep their teeth & gums healthy. Also provides education/tips to parents. All around 5 stars!

The staff were very patient with my two-year-old running all over the place, and even watched my baby so I could change the toddler's diaper! Dr. Danielson was friendly, good with my son, and explained everything very well. I was very satisfied with our first visit.

Our first visit to Smile Pediatrics was a success. Not because my son was cavity free, but instead because The dentist was amazing. He spoke directly to my son, who is 12 and explained the process, the treatment and preventative measures in an age appropriate way. When we left my son said "I've never had a dentist take the time to explain things to me in kids terms. this is the best dentist I've ever had"

Dr. D and his great staff always take the best care of us! I am so thankful to know that dental appointments for my boys will be easy and thorough as well as that they will be understanding, gentle, and caring . We switch dentist every year, but I think we finally found our destination. My teens enjoyed talking with Jared, he knows how to interact with people. Took one star off because the office is very small, barely any seat for parents.

The dentist and staff make it enjoyable and pleasant for my son (a toddler). The dentist cares about his parents and is helpful explaining how to care for his patients' dental care. Highly recommended. Also, we never had to wait for an appointment.
