Joseph Eliason, DDS, MSD, APC, provides one-of-a-kind care at Smile Orthodontics with offices in Santa Rosa and Windsor, California. He brings a warm personality and extensive training in cutting-edge orthodontic technology to the team.
Dr. Eliason loves practicing orthodontics and feels fortunate to be able to work on the beautiful smiles of Sonoma County. He received his dental and orthodontic training at the University of California, San Francisco, and the Medical College of Virginia.
Raised in Lodi, California, Dr. Eliason has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, including an award for leadership by the American College of Dentists and for ethics and professionalism by the San Francisco Dental Society.
He has also served the American Dental Association nationally as a commissioner to the Commission on Dental Accreditation and currently reviews scientific articles submitted for publication in prestigious journals such as Angle Orthodontist and Progress in Orthodontics.
Dr. Eliason loves working with kids of all ages, from 7-70. He and his wife, Jana, have four children of their own: Lily, Noah, Gracie, and Josie. He is an avid cyclist and loves exploring the roads of Sonoma County and the trails at Annadel State Park. Dr. Eliason and his family make their home in Windsor, California.
Kelly Choi, DMD, MSD, is well-versed in traditional and modern orthodontic treatment modalities. She brings her enthusiasm and experience to Smile Orthodontics with offices in Santa Rosa and Windsor, California.
She received her dental training from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Washington. Originally from the East Coast, Dr. Choi first moved to California in 2013 to work for Invisalign 's research department in San Jose, California.
She is a member of numerous honor societies as well as local and national orthodontic associations. Dr. Choi has numerous accomplishments in the field, including the publication of her own scientific research in the prestigious Angle Orthodontist journal. Dr. Choi is also very proud to have passed a rigorous peer review exam in order to become a board-certified orthodontist.
Dr. Choi is an avid reader, yoga enthusiast, and runner. She loves to get outside and enjoy all of Californias natural wonders. She is very passionate about orthodontics and feels extremely lucky to practice a profession that she loves.

Great, friendly staff. Accommodated us whenever we had an "emergency" like a popped wire. Dr. Eliason even made himself available by cell one night when the wire was jabbing into my daughter's mouth; he talked me how to get it back into place. Great customer service! Highly recommend to everyone.

Can't really say enough about how amazing Dr. Eliason is. As well as all the staff. I have been taking my daughter regularly for the last 4 plus years and have never had a bad experience. My daughter's teeth were probably the worst case you could imagine because of a lifetime of health complications and her teeth don't grow in the same as a normal person because of it. Dr. Eliason was up for the challenge and has incredibly moved teeth around that seemed impossible to move. We're not finished yet but it's getting close to the end and my daughter will finally be able to smile without feeling embarrassed. Thank you everyone at Smile orthodontists for taking such good care of us.

My daughter and I both are patients at Smile- she has traditional braces and I have Invisalign. We LOVE everyone at Smile- office staff and doctors are super kind and friendly. We will never go anywhere else!

We love this office. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. They are very efficient and make my son feel at ease. Staff is always explains what they are going to do, before doing it. They are willing to answer your questions and we never feel rushed. They are also always on time!
