Dr Ajitha Japa, DDS is a family dentist who has been practicing dentistry for about 10 years in the greater Harrisburg area. Dr Japa graduated from New York University / College Of Dentistry in 2009 with HONORS in DDS.
Before she graduated from New York University, she has earned her Bachelor's degree in dentistry from leading dental school at Banglore, India. Dr Japa's mission & goal is to take care and treat every patient like a family member with dignity and care.
Dr Japa is a very caring and compassionate individual who listens to patients concerns and questions. Her fields of expertise include but not limited to: restorative, children dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, oral surgery, implant and prosthetic dentistry. Dr.Japa is currently a member of HASDA, Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA), and the American Dental Association (ADA).

I don't know why I came back because she was rude at the first visit but I tried for a second time to go so I can of course keep my children up to date plus everywhere around is completely booked. Well this second visit was just the same, she is ABSOLUTELY rude and talks to you as if you don't take care of your children because they have cavities I hate to say it but I'm pretty sure she is racist. Then I advised my son had chipped his tooth at football she says "whatever it's chipped because he has a cavity" rolling her eyes. She needs to take from her kind staff. Like how do they even deal with her.

I have been coming to this dentist for close to a year now. I honestly don't even do reviews but the woman here definitely deserve some praise. Since I've been here Dr Japa has been straight forward and hasn't sugar coated anything w me. And most importantly handles the situation. When I first came here I needed my wisdom teeth out, haven't seen a dentist in over a couple years. All within the 1st 2 months, she gotten me up to date on cleanings, gotten my wisdom's removed and gotten my retainer bridges that I needed. Now just coming in for my cleanings and staying ontop of everything. She is very effective and efficient all while handling her patients w care. Ontop of that all of her assistants are very warm and welcoming. Has almost made this like a 2nd family in a way lol. Would give more then 5 stars if I could. Definitely a good place to go.

If you're black Do NOT go here . She doesn't like blacks & we're treated different !!!! Even the black staff doesn't stand up for what's right ! We will not calm about this ! She deletes the bad reviews left

I have been a patient with Dr. Japa and Smile Now Dental for years. Her and her staff provide excellent dental care in a warm, friendly environment. Dr. Japa is very professional and knows what she is doing. If you need any kind of dental services, this is the place to go! I would highly recommend that you try Smile Now Dental for a great experience in dental care!

I would highly recommend Smile Now Family Dental. Dr. Japa is very professional and explains what she is doing. The staff is always friendly and appointments are on time. I have always had a great experience and plan on going back!

Dr. Japa and her staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. They explain everything to you so you are aware of the process. Will continue to go as long as the patient treatment and dental work stays up to par.

Great staff. Dentist rude, doesn't listen, fails at fitting dentures. Denture broke two times in a month due to improper fit. She suggested I take or leave.

I've been a patient at this office for over 20 years when Frank holtzman had the office last past 3 years this dental office and Dr Joppa instead has went down here for the worst I would never recommend anybody to go there starting from the front desk they never returned your phone calls the work they perform is horrible I went to another dentist and they fixed all the work that Dr Joppa did people if you want quality and good work stay away from this practice

Dr. Joppa takes the time to explain all the procedures before they are going to happen and gives you options on how to proceed. All the staff is outgoing and friendly to their clients. Makes getting your teeth worked on very enjoyable.

Spoke with Dr. Japa about a filling that came out. The office no longer accepts my insurance but possibly accepts my wife's which I'm covered under as well with dental. Stopping in Thursday to see if they accept my wife's insurance and will get my tooth refilled

Dr. Japa is awesome! She comes in on her time off if you have a dental emergency! She has fixed several of my previously botched fillings. She cares about you and your family, not just your teeth! The hours are flexible and the staff are always pleasant. I highly recommend her dentist practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Japa for many years and she is a wonderful dentist. She is extremely kind and caring. Dr. Japa always makes sure to take her time with each patient and provides detailed explanations when administering dental work. She and her entire staff are extremely professional and accommodating. I look forward to seeing them for my regular cleanings. I have already recommended Dr. Japa to several family members and will continue to do so. Recently I had dental implant surgery to replace missing adult teeth. Dr. Japa took care of having the crowns made for the implants and she did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier with my new smile! Thank you Dr. Japa and team!
