Jim Peck received his Bachelors Degree at the University of Texas Austin, then attended the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. After graduation, Dr. Peck began practicing dentistry in Richardson, TX while his wife, Ramona, finished medical school at UT-Southwestern. It was in Richardson that Jim worked with his mentor, Dr. Terry Watson, an amazing dentist. Jim stayed with the practice in Richardson for 25 years before deciding to bring his skills and dedication to a dental practice of his own. Ramona wanted to come back home to New Braunfels to practice pediatrics, and they bought property in 2001 with plans to move someday. Eight years later, they finally made the move and Jim says hes been thrilled to be serving patients in New Braunfels ever since.
When he is not at the office, Jim gives back to the community by participating in the New Braunfels Rotary and Wurstfest Association. Jim also enjoys playing tennis, fly fishing on the Guadalupe, and golfing. Jim Peck is more than just one of New Braunfels leading dentists, hes also a family man and a community leader dedicated to giving back.

Dr. Peck strives to provide his patients with the most comfortable experience possible, and that means taking every step to make your visit as relaxing as possible.
I absolutely love being a dentist. I tell people all the time (somewhat jokingly) Id do it for free, but my wife wont let me. It combines so many different things: chemistry, psychiatry, radiology, and business, so it never gets boring. Making someones smile and overall health better is hugely satisfying.

Dr. Peck is the most incredible dentist my husband and I have ever gone to. He is thorough, and we have had him re-do several fillings and crowns that we had issues with that were done by another dentist in town with zero pain afterwards! Whereas with the other dentist we've had pain up to 10 months later. His office staff is wonderful, the office is beautiful and clean. My in-laws have even driven 4 hours to see him. Highly recommend!

Quite possible one of the best experiences I have had with a dentist office. I have had some terrible experiences in the past that made me just avoid the dentist as a whole. They made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process, entire staff was extremely professional. I have already recommended them to a few people and will continue too!

This is the most unprofessional dentist office, I have ever encountered. The office manager and dentist have disrespected both my husband and me on multiple occasions. Several times we were given inaccurate payment information regarding payment leading to a bill in the mail at a later date and for more than I was told by the office that of course, I'm expected to pay despite their ridiculous error. And then when we left and requested our medical records, which we are entitled to by law, we were told that our request was "too much" to ask of them and "if every patient they had did this, they would be out of business." And I quote Dr. Jim Peck, DDS of Smile New Braunfels. Jim Peck is rude and unprofessional, needless to say I do not recommend this office or doctor.

My wife and I had a terrible experience with Jim Peck, DDS. He and his staff are unprofessional and disrespectful. We were billed charges we were initially told we wouldn't owe. And when this was brought to the office manager's attention seeking a resolution, she lashed out on my wife. Repeatedly informing my wife she didn't care how she was treating her. Then Jim Peck refused to provide me our medical records when requested, giving me a hard time and criticizing me with snide remarks. This office is unprincipled and disreputable. I do not recommend.

I went in for my first filling and I was a little nervous because I had heard people say it hurts or there is some discomfort, but Dr. Peck was awesome he was very careful and gentle and I felt absolutely no pain or discomfort what so ever. I am very pleased and impressed with how professional and caring he and his staff are. I would recommend him to everyone.

My wife and I both go there. Not only is the staff and Dr. Peck friendly and professional, I literally have little to no pain after a filing. I have never in my life gone to a dentist where that has happened. He's always using the most up to date technology to better his dental practices and it shows with the after product. Highly recommend him. He's really top tier in the dentist world in my book.
