Dr. Dennis was born and raised in Southwest FL. He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with Cum Laude Honors to receive a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. He believes education is a life-long journey and continues to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and techniques in dental care to provide the most comprehensive treatment to his patients.
Dr Dennis has been practicing general dentistry for over 5 years. His love for people and doing the right thing really separates him from the crowd. He genuinely cares for people and is dedicated to helping patients achieve their best oral health. Dr. Dennis takes pride in serving his patients and the local community. He has spent a lot of his time volunteering with the local Salvation Army Dental Clinic as well as Kids in Distress, the Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital, and Give Kids a Smile.
Dr. Dennis is married to Dr. Meghan Finley. She is a practicing veterinarian. They currently reside in North Ft. Myers. They are Floridians through and through, enjoying free time outdoors playing tennis, biking, boating, and fishing. Their babies are their 3 dogs, Anna, Luna and Kane. Dr. Dennis is looking forward to building long-term trusting relationships with his patients, always providing compassionate dental care with a warm and caring demeanor.
Lauren has been working in our office for over eight years now. She is what we call the Director of First Impressions up at the front desk. Her vibrant smile and upbeat attitude cant be missed. She loves taking care of our patients, and is very understanding of their needs. Lauren is the daughter of Smile Naples previous dentist, whom has since has retired. We have seen her grow up in the office and love watching her journey. She is married for six years and a proud mom of two lovely children, (12 months apart!) which keep her very busy when shes not working. Her family being from St. Louis, she is a Cardinals and Blues fan. She will say she is a Miami Dolphins fan by default, given her husband is a die-hard supporter.
Larissa is a Registered Dental Hygienist, and has been cleaning teeth for over 25 years. She began her career as a dental assistant, therefore possessing additional clinical skills that are invaluable to our office. She attended hygiene school in Gainesville all while working. As you would expect, she became a huge Gator fan. (As anyone in Gainesville would, in that spirited environment!) Larissa has a real love for helping others. She is super knowledgeable of the correlation between oral health and overall health and is a natural educator. Larissa is one of seven siblings, all out of town, and is pleased to work at Smile Naples as she feels she has found her chosen family in both her co-workers and her patients.
Helen is a registered dental hygienist. She has been in dentistry for over 18 years. You may find Helens story quite unique. From 2003-2016, Helen was an international dentist in Venezuela! She has experience in prosthodontics, implants, aesthetics, and general dentistry.
Helen moved to the United States in 2016 and worked as a Dental Assistant for 4 years learning techniques performed in our country. In 2021, she tested (many tests!) and acquired her Hygiene license. She began in our office July 26, 2021, and is a helping hand in all areas as she has many skills! Helen will work as a hygienist in our office as she continues to grow and improve herself personally and professionally. Helens ultimate goal is to become licensed as a Dentist here in the U.S. so you just may want to keep an eye on her! Her determination is contagious!
Helen has been married to her husband over 14 years. They have 2 daughters, Estefania (13yrs) and Valentina. (9yrs) They love spending time together, going to the beach, and watching their girls learn taekwondo.
Aime is the newest member of our dental family. She joined our practice in Dec 2021. Aimes work ethic is incredible. Aime is the first to volunteer to do something if it will help someone out. She is always pushing herself to be better and is dedicated to doing things the right way. When shes not working here, you may see her serving tables at Bravo. She loves traveling and is always saving up for that next trip. She recently traveled to New York City and has planned trips to Mexico and the Caribbean up ahead. Her dream is to one day visit Hawaii and see the volcanoes. Aime is very close with her family, especially her mother and sister. She is a proud aunt to her first niece, Hailey, now 4 months old. Amy is a terrific addition to the Smile Naples Team.
Christina is our hygiene assistant and Danielles (Smile Naples Practice Manager) younger sister. She helps our hygienists rotate rooms and does their periodontal charting. Our clinicians consider themselves spoiled since she sterilizes and restocks their instruments and is always there to help if they are in a pickle! Christina wears many hats in our office, from helping with x-rays/photos, to charting/treatment planning, restocking/inventory, and cleaning/organizing; she pretty much helps out wherever it is needed.
In 2020, Our previous hygiene assistant of 20 years resigned on short notice due to concerns of her risk for complications with Covid. We were just returning from our 2 month closure, so Danielle reached out to her sister for immediate help with patient screenings, temperature checks, and constant wipe downs, just until someone new could be hired. Being a team player, she handled the demands very well; there is no job that is beneath her. Our wonderful team welcomed her with open arms. After three months of her helping out, we are happy to say that we offered Christina the position and she is now a full-time member of the Smile Naples team. She has been with us for over a year now. As they say when one door closes, another door opens. Christina is proof of that!
I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the loyalty, confidence, and trust you have shown to me and my family over the years. So, it is with both sadness and joy that I announce my decision to retire from the career I have always so loved.
Over the last several years, I have been searching for just the right individual to continue that care. I knew I wasnt getting any younger and needed an exit strategy. I have sought to secure another doctor whose training, skills and dental treatment philosophies are closely matched to mine. I also wanted someone who demonstrated the same enthusiasm and heart.
My commitment to maintaining the highest quality and personalized dental care has led me to Dr. Garrett Dennis. My wonderful team will remain to assist in your care. I have all the faith and confidence that Dr. Dennis is the most qualified and caring individual to be my successor.
