Excellent staff. Billing is helpful and trustworthy. The doctor and staff are excellent. I had a crown procedure and I felt no pain due to the delicate care of the doctor. Very happy to be under their care.

We have been patients of Dr. Limhengco for almost 20 years. He is the most gentle dentist you could every find and extremely competent in his work. The office staff are kind and quick to resolve any issue that may arise with your insurance. We absolutely love Smile Makers and will continue to be their patients with healthy bright smiles.

I made an appt for my child and myself for a cleaning, which is absolutely covered by my insurance. The staff was nice, but not upfront about costs, not well versed in insurance coverage, and we made an unnecessary trip there because they were unsure about what our insurance covered. The appointment was made weeks in advance. They did x-rays on both of us, but only brushed my child's teeth and told me they would not be able to do a cleaning at that time for my child or me. They never followed up. I had to call them several times to attempt to schedule the cleaning that we drove all the way there for (we don't live in Chico). I finally got ahold of the receptionist, and she quoted me outrageous numbers for cleanings. I almost made the mistake of having the services done, until I called my insurance company. They let me know I was definitely being taken advantage of and the services I was asking for are actually covered . It is safe to say, we won't be back and I recommend reviewing your coverage before using their services.

There is a lack of communication from their staff. Had what I thought was an appointment for a root canal, was a consultation which was not clarified to me when making my appointment. Then when I attempted to reschedule, was told they didn't know when the next availability would be. So I carry on thinking my appointment is set and they will reach out if a later opening comes up. As this is what was discussed. Only to find the day and hour of the appointment, after making arrangements for childcare and work leave. That my appointment was cancelled and I was put on a waiting list to see if there were any openings during the next month. None of which was told to me during the phone call. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Absolutely the worst service EVER! Don't waste your time! They even refused to fax my dental records to my new dentist! I'm so disgusted with this place!

Highly recommend! I went to modern dentistry and they told me I would need a root canal and at least 5,000 worth of work done to my mouth and that was it. They said I would need go go to another place then go back to get a cap on my root canal tooth . When I went into smile makers they made sure to help me with what was bothering me and checked out my tooth and told me I would only need a crown for my tooth and it would only 950 without insurance.all the employees were so nice and attentive and made sure to help me out as much as possible. They gave me antibiotics and ibuprofen to manage the pain when the other place gave me no advice on how to help my pain or discomfort without paying 5,000. So thank you smile makers!

Dr. Limhengco is THE BEST dentist I have ever had for my family (and we've been through our share)... He is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to his work and for the younger children, he is always extremely patient, kind-hearted and confidence inspiring. Smile makers has always been extremely fair with their billing which is FAR more then I can say for so many of the other dental offices in Chico who are always trying to make an extra buck at every turn. Most of all, I just wanted to comment on how good he is with children. My kids have had so many bad experiences, even with pediatric specialists but they all love Dr Limhengco. Plus, we always ended-up paying hundreds of dollars above what our insurance costs for each procedure with the others. With Smile Makers, it's extremely rare that a procedure costs us anything aside from what insurance is charged. I would give them six stars if I could!!! I know he travels from Sacramento and I just always pray that he keeps his Chico office open!!!
