Dr. Tariq holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Maryland and also attended the University of Michigan Advanced GPR program to further advance his clinical skills. Since 2004, Dr. Tariq has been concentrating his skills in order to provide his patients with all aspects of dentistry from beautiful porcelain veneers to same day crowns. With the help of his staff, he continues to use the most modern dental technology to create healthy, beautiful smiles in what we believe is Novi's most talented dental office staff.
His expertise in the use of computers and current technologies make his office a painless environment, allowing patients to feel comfortable and confident with their smiles. He has taken numerous advanced clinical courses that focus on attractive, natural looking, metal-free aesthetic restorations. These can be placed the same day using computer-assisted dentistry and dental laser technology.

Hi, my name is Beth Anne and I work part time for Dr. Tariq as a dental hygienist. I have been in dentistry for quite some time. I worked as a dental assistant while earning my hygiene degree at Mott Community College. I have been working in dental hygiene since 1983. I enjoy what I do and I like getting to know my patients. In my spare time I like to hike and I spend a lot of time volunteering for several organizations.
Hi, my name is Hayley. I am originally from Rochester and received my bachelors degree in dental hygiene from Ferris State University. I love to travel and have been all over Europe and the US. In my spare time I am also a Crossfit coach, I am very passionate about overall health and fitness and I love to help people reach their goals. I have volunteered in numerous free clinics throughout the area to help support my community. Volunteering is extremely humbling and something I greatly enjoy. I care greatly about all my patients, and treat them as such.
Hi, my name is Cheryel I work for Dr. Tariq at the front desk. I have been in the dental field since 1992. I truly love my job and taking care of our 'extended' family (patients)! When I 'm not at Smile Innovations the majority of my spare time is filled with volunteering for a wonderful organization that places retired racing greyhounds in forever homes.
Hi, my name is Joy and I am Dr. Tariq's lead dental assistant and have a quite a few years experience. I truly enjoy working with our patients and my co-workers at Smile Innovations. During my time away from the office I focus on my family and friends. I enjoy numerous sporting and recreational activities.
Hi, my name is Heather I have been a dental assistant since 2010. I enjoy working with the kind and friendly staff and patients here at Smile Innovations. In my spare time I coach my daughter's Cheer Leading Team. I enjoy the nature trails at Kensington Park where I can do some bird watching. I also volunteer with my local animal rescue/shelter.

Dr. Tariq is simply the best. My teeth needed so much work and he has made them even better than I could ever have imagined. Highly recommend his office. The treatment is terrific and the customer service is even better!!!!

My husband and I are patients of Dr. Tariq. I would have never said the words "Great Experience " and Dentist in the same sentence, before my visit to Smile Innovations. The staff is friendly and professional. He and his Dental Assistant work in concert to make you comfortable. I can't imagine going anywhere else. We highly recommend this business.

My experience with Dr.Tariq has been really great. I had to come in for my wisdom tooth extraction. He was very informative about the procedure. Dr. Tariq personally follows up with his patients after the visit. He provided me with his personal cell phone in case I needed anything. Very please with my experience and his service

Generally, my wife is tough and I am not in a dental chair. Dr Tariq and staff have provided our dental care for ten years. My sweet heart and I could not be happier; after multiple decades of an ache here and a sensitivity there, our teeth for these years at Smile Innovations simply feel good. A visit is a relief knowing it is keeping the bite happy. We appreciate the expertise found at this practice.

I was scheduled for a cleaning today. The facility is very welcoming, professional and neat and clean. The staff was very polite and informative to all my questions. Dr. Tariq is extremely detailed, precise and goes the extra mile for his patients. He stayed extra to fix a tooth I had broken sometime ago. He said I might feel a little pain, but I barely felt anything. The hygienist is very gentle and detailed as well. Smile innovations is a great place and I recommend all my friends and family to go see Dr. Zafar Tariq.

I needed an implant and was very nervous. Dr Tariq and his staff have been wonderful and have definitely calmed my nerves and made this as pleasant experience as possible. I drive about 45min to get here, and it is worth the drive. Thanks for the great care!
