As a mother of four, she takes a gentle approach and has experience working with children of all ages. Her fun personality and caring demeanor helps her patients relax and feel at ease. Dr. Sanford enjoys interacting with her patients and getting to know them on a personal level. She values these relationships and the time she gets to spend helping others each day.
Dr. Sanford received her undergraduate degree in chemistry with minors in genetics and English at North Carolina State University in 2003. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina in 2010. She performed her general practice dental residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital. Dr. Sanford received an award for Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in the study of prosthodontics in 2009 from the American College of Prosthodontists.
She has demonstrated her commitment to professional excellence by attending continuing education courses regularly. She recently completed a continuing education course in ClearCorrect in 2012 and earned her Implant Fellowship in 2013. In 2015 she became certified in 6-month smiles orthodontics. She is also certified in the bOHP (baby oral health program); this program focuses on the prevention of cavities in children ages 6 months to 3 years. Dr. Sanford has volunteered her services for several community events, including the Moncure Fire Department Health Fair, the Piedmont Health Service Outreach Program, the UNC Dental School Student Action Coalition, the Missions of Mercy Clinic, the UNC Mouth Guard Projects, and, most recently, Give Kids a Smile. In her free time, she enjoys chasing her children, reading and traveling.
Paperless charting means more efficiency and more accuracy. An office that has 'gone digital' records x-rays and charting with the aid of the computer and keeps all patients ' dental records electronically. Additionally, it cuts back on paper use. With traditional paper charting, information can be lost in translation from doctor to hygienist to assistant. Even handwriting differences and coding make the charts look different. The computer eliminates this problem by standardizing charting methods, making it easy to understand dental charts, view up-to-date information and keep records accurately. When needed, this method also allows dental offices to more easily share information with other healthcare providers.

Do not go to this dental office! In the beginning they promised not to try to push expensive and unnecessary procedures that I don't need and can't afford. That pledge lasted a short while, and then they started pushing for fillings on my receded gum line. I gave in but regretted it. Then they started pushing for me to get "deep cleanings" because of gum recession. These cleanings are the same as regular cleanings only they scrape a little longer on the teeth and charge you four times as much. Smile Gallery insisted that I come for these appointments every four months because of my gums. When I declined and said I would like to receive regular cleanings every six months, they said they would not allow that and wouldn't treat me unless I agreed to their deep cleanings. Can you tell me anyone in the medical world that can force you to receive a procedure you do not wish to receive? This is unethical and abhorrent. I do not have the time or money for their "deep cleanings," so my family will find another dentist. This dentist is all about making a quick buck like so many fraudulent, selfish healthcare providers out there. Update: I cancelled all future appointments after their rude treatment and they are insisting we pay a missed appointment fee even though all appointments were cancelled by me! They are unethical.

Dr.Sanford was absolutely AMAZING !! She was very patient because I was a nervous wreck ! I had to get a wisdom tooth extracted and I didn't feel anything!!! I highly recommend!!! Also Stephanie and Paige were awesome ! Stephanie got me right in when I called her ! Very professional staff and very friendly !!

The office is conveniently located on old battleground avenue! It's bright and beautiful inside The receptionist welcomed me with a big smile. My hygienist was very friendly and my cleaning was great! Dr Sanford was very down to earth and friendly! I'm so happy I found this dental office!

This office is great! They are very careful with COVID and the office is clean. Very easy to make appointments. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Sanford makes me feel like her number one priority is making sure I am comfortable and pleased with their services.

New to the area. Thought I found a great dentist for myself and my family. Called the Smile Gallery and asked if they participated in my dental insurance and they told me yes. Gave them my insurance information. Never once did they say they were out of network. Went in for my appointment in October. Everything went great. Never told me I had a balance due. Daughter's appointment was the next day. Everything went great. Never said anything about a balance due. Fast forward a month and a half later, December 1st my son is home from college and is at the dental office waiting to be seen for his appointment. I get a phone call informing me I have a balance over $500 on my account. Total shock! I have no idea why. The Smile Gallery tells me they are not sure why the insurance is not covering the costs and they plan to appeal. I say ok. Tell them to go ahead and honor my son's appointment while you figure out what's going on. I also called my insurance company. Again, never once did the dental office say they were out of network. I called my dental insurance. The representative called the dental office. The insurance representative says the dental office was extremely rude. Apparently, there was some misunderstanding between the dental office and the insurance company. The insurance representative said the dental office was going to call me and work something out. That was on December 1st. Never heard from Smile Gallery until around the 21st of December when I received a bill in the mail for over $800. Today, I called the office attempting to get this resolved. Spoke to Lisa. Gave her my information and was told they will call me back. In the meantime, I called my insurance company again. Insurance company called the Smile Gallery and they told the insurance representative that they told me they were out of network, which they NEVER did. If that was the case, I would have never gone to the Smile Gallery and this would be a mute issue. Once I got off the phone with my insurance company, I called the Smile Gallery again to speak to Lisa. She was not available. Still waiting for a return phone call. In the meantime, my insurance company is pulling the recorded call from their conversation with the dental office. At some point, I guess the Smile Gallery will return my call and we can amicably find a middle ground and resolve this issue.

Best dentist! We love Dr. Sanford. She gives great care. Has handled fillings quickly and very well for each of my kids and me! The Dental assistants and hygienists are great as well!

I love this dental office! I'm so glad I found it! The receptionist is super nice and accommodating. The hygienists are friendly and caring. Dr Sanford and her assistant make you feel relaxed and I am nervous about going anyway. The office is super clean and beautiful. I commented on the paintings and learned that they were hand painted by Dr. Sanfords mother! It has a real family feel! I don't dread dental visits any longer.

I first took my mom to Smile Gallery because of location. However the price package and friendly staff convinced both myself and husband to join a plan. We have been patients for 3 years or more, and while my mom passed and we live in High Point, in other words, location is no convenient when other similar offices are in High Point, we remain patients. Now for the Dentist, top notch, was patient with my mom and always responsive and thorough in explanations regarding care. Please consider when looking for a Dentist Family.

Awesome friendly staff. Easy to make appointment, no wait time, explained all procedures, and were up front about costs! I got big teeth and they took care of them!! Still going here after 3 years and still enjoy my visits every time.
