Dr. Arjmandi earned her doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Colorado school of Dental Medicine. But her unwavering passion for dentistry actually began many years earlier: she graduated from the University of Belgrade School of Dentistry with a DDS in 1999.
While taking the trip of a lifetime traveling around the world, Dr. Arjmandi met her wonderful husband, Kamiar, and they decided San Diego was the best place to live and raise a family. After the birth of her two children, Kian and Arman, she returned to her passion for dentistry and obtained her second DDS degree. As she worked in corporate dental offices in the beautiful North County San Diego area, Dr. Arjmandi found that she wanted something different for her patients.
Not interested in following the corporate dentistry path, Dr. Arjmandi decided to open her own practice. I want my own practice where I can treat my patients with the care and love they deserve, like members of my family. One area of special interest to Dr. Arjmandi is anxiety-free dentistry. Helping her patients feel comfortable while undergoing treatment ensures the best dental outcomes for her patients. She truly cares about her patients dental experiences.

Dr. Makadia specializes in Endodontics, or more commonly known as root canal treatments. After completing his general dental training at University of the Pacific in San Francisco, he went onto New York for an additional year in general practice training while working towards his endodontics specialty. When his time in New York was up, he had the opportunity to continue his specialty training at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. As a patient of his, you can expect pain free and compassionate care that will erase your old perceptions of root canal treatment. We use the latest technology to enhance patient experience and efficiency, while also obtaining the best results for a successful outcome. When hes not serving patients, he loves to exercise and explore new restaurants with his wife. Above all else, ensuring that our patients have a tremendous experience is always at the forefront of Dr. Makadias objective.
Dr. Crow is a Board Certified Periodontist and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology with over 20 years of experience in the field of dentistry. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, he received an additional year of hospital based training by completing a General Practice Residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va. After five years practicing general dentistry, Dr. Crow returned to school and completed a three year residency in Periodontics. During that same time, he earned a Masters of Science degree in Health Sciences from The George Washington University. After seven years in private practice in the Seattle area, he returned to San Diego where he maintains a practice limited to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Crow is married and has two children; a son and a daughter. During his free time, he enjoys his childrens sports and activities, as well as scuba diving, snow skiing, traveling, and flying as an instrument rated pilot.

I had my second routine appointment today. Staff was very kind and helpful. I was seated 3 minutes after arrival. X-rays, and cleaning. Dr. Was pleasant and, took time, no rushing. So happy to come here. Thank you

Dr. Arjmandi is the most wonderful and gentle dentist I've ever had in my entire life!! I have always had anxiety from dentists in the past but with this dentist I found I feel was sent from God. Recently I had a deep cleaning and she did it with zero pain and a gentle kind hand. She has a heart of gold and I even recommended her to my own mother! Front office staff is very polite and professional. I'm so happy I found this place Highly recommend

I highly recommend Smile Essentials. Dr. Arjmandi and her team have made me feel very comfortable through all of my procedures. The office is clean, has very nice lighting, modern amenities, and is at a great location especially if you live in Vista. I personally appreciate Dr. Arjmandi's attention to detail, quality of medicine, and overall standard of care.

I have had a great experience with Dr. Arjmandi! I have dental anxiety and just had to get 5 cavities filled. She made my experience smooth and comfortable. She is also very thorough and shows she cares about her patients. I would definitely recommend her, especially if you're like me and need someone understanding. I am glad I found this place! The lady at the front desk (I forgot her name, ah!) is also very friendly :)

I absolutely loved my experience at Smile Essentials! The receptionist, Julia, was super warm and explained everything regarding billing in a very thorough manner. Dr. Arjmandi explained everything she was doing and made me feel super comfortable. She also made me laugh, which is a very quick way to my heart. The dental assistant, Giselle, was kind and very professional in the care she provided me as well. I can't wait to go back!

From someone who has very bad dentist anxiety I can easily say that Dr. Arjmandi is the best at what she does. I stopped dreading the dentist when I started going to see her. She is very geniune and honest and always makes sure you are comfortable. I also love how flexible they are with scheduling, Julia always found appointments that worked with my schedule. Also, I cannot say enough good things about Julia. She is so patient when explaining costs and insurance billing. She is amazing at what she does. Thank you Smile Essentials team for always taking great care of me.

I went to Smile Essentials to get a second opinion and decided to get the work done here. Everyone in the office is really nice. Dr. Arjmandi constantly checked to make sure I was okay, and adjusted what she was doing if I felt any pain. I recommend Smile Essentials.
