Very disappointed in Smiles Doctors in Marion, Illinois. I had my daughter come in on March 2020 to get braces. I was the financial person in charge of this contract as me and her mother are divorced and I live in Arkansas. I was sold a deal where if I put 500 down I still owed around 5000where I set up payments each month. In March of 2022 I had paid 4,800 dollars of the contract and on March 18th was assured that my bill was all caught up and I owed nothing until April. My daughter tried to get an appointment soon after and they said she couldn't get in because I owed money. I logged into my account and it showed a 0 balance due and next payment date being next month as I has only 6 to 7 payments left. My daughters mom is limited on funds so trying to get her in again to the Marion location was denied once again. So with the stress they had the braces taken off. Myself being the financer of this should have been called or written to or contacted. I called today knowing I had insurance for retainers and was told that the braces being taken off make the contract void. Really !!! I was made not aware of. They said they called and they let it ring and ring several times doing this, so I knew their that was not true as I have voicemail. They said they mailed items which I have never received anything. Now being months later my daughters teeth are back in bad shape and no retainers when I paid for this. Again I had paid 4,800 and owed probably close to 1,000 and they made my daughter and her mom feel the stress and anxiety without making me aware of when they were telling me I had all paid up through March and now telling me everything was void because the decision of her mom and my name on the contract and only my name and not making me aware of. This isn't right and I will continue further with my plan of actions.

The staff at the Marion office is so friendly. Dr Cook was very pleasant and answered all my questions.

I would recommend Dr. Cook's office to anyone I know in the Carbondale/Marion area. Dr. Cook, the assistants, and the receptionists are always so polite and helpful with any issues I have. Dr. Cook always made sure I left with no questions and would answers any questions I had (dumb or not- mostly dumb). I was given an estimate of 18-24 months on my braces and I got them off in 18 months. Any issues I had with poking wires/broken brackets they were able to get me in either same day or within a few. The payment plan option was a life saver, it made my decision to get braces that much easier. The Carbondale and Marion offices are very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Thanks so much Dr. Cook and everyone at the office for everything, I love my teeth (:

Smile Doctors took really good care of both my kids throughout their journey with braces. They were quick and efficient, they cared about their comfort, and they both have beautiful smiles because of Smile Doctors! I highly recommend this orthodontist!

Very attentive to each patient and their family. Courteous with billing issues or questions. They are willing to work with you. Quick to get you in if a problem with the braces pops up.

Best orthodontist ever!!! Staff is always very friendly, accommodating, professional, stays up on follow up appointments. I brought my son in to have his teeth corrected a few years ago, now my daughter is old enough and got her first phase of braces put on yesterday. Highly recommend Kevin Cook, Smile Doctors!!!

Always had have a good experience with kevin cook. Always good about appointments and this is my daughters second set of braces and he did excellent with the first set of braces on her. Highly recommend!

Smile Doctors made my son's "first day of braces" so great! The staff was friendly, our appointment was on time, and they explained every step thoroughly so he was very comfortable. Makenzie was the one who put on his braces and she is SPECTACULAR. She is a ray of sunshine Will definitely recommend to other people. Looking forward to the follow up appointments.
