Dr. Edward Sloyer received both his undergraduate and dental degrees from New York University with a post-doctoral program at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. With a special emphasis on cosmetic and implant dentistry, he has maintained a quality-oriented private practice in the Hicksville-Plainview area for more than 40 years.
Dr. Sloyer is an active member of the community. He conducts elementary school programs and participates in the Give Kids a Smile Program, providing free oral screening to underserved children in the Long Island area.. He has also partnered with Catholic Charities, providing dental care to Long Island families in need.
In 2020 Dr. Sloyer was again selected as a Top Dentist by NY's Top Docs. Dr. Sloyer is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Society and a long-standing member of the South Shore Dental Study Club. In addition to travel, his passions include photography, music, and golf.
Dr. Brian Davis received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Lawrence University and completed his dental degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he received several awards for his accomplishments in dental esthetic and prosthodontic treatment.
He also completed a dental residency at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York, where he received additional training in all phases of dentistry. He is certified by Invisalign as a preferred provider.
Thanks to his additional training and experience in placing and restoring dental implants, Dr. Davis was awarded a fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is currently an active member of the Suffolk County Dental Society, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Karen has been with Smile Designs of Long Island since August of 2010. She is a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs Business School, where she was on the Deans List. She enjoys her position and doing her part to ensure that things run smoothly. She also likes interacting with patients, helping them to realize the best possible dental experience.
Veronica received her training at the New York College of Health Professions. Originally from Levittown, New York, she loves the family atmosphere at Smile Designs of Long Island as well as the fact that each day brings with it new challenges.
Recognized prior to her medical office career for forensics and singing, Veronica has a multitude of hobbies, including bowling, working out, and painting oil portraits. She also enjoys watching movies and spending time with family.
Dayanara has been with Smile Designs of Long Island for about a year, and she enjoys the teamwork of running the office efficiently with her coworkers to ensure patient satisfaction. A Flushing, New York, native, she is also a licensed cosmetologist who enjoys styling hair for special occasions.
When she is not assisting one of the doctors, you can probably find Quetz playing her guitar, practicing meditation, running, doing gyrotonics exercise, going for walks, playing bingo with her family, or gardening.
Educated at New York University and SUNY Farmingdale, Little Neck, Queens native Marci has been with Smile Designs of Long Island for seven years. She loves everything about her jobespecially making nice smiles for patients.
Nicole has been in the dental field for almost 20 years, earning an Associate in Science degree from SUNY Farmingdale State College. She loves her patients and is dedicated to improving their dental and overall health.

We typically recommend full x-rays at least once each year, using our state-of-the art digital radiography. Digital x-rays are not only quicker, but they also have less radiation than traditional x-rays. We also have an intraoral camera that gives us access to the surface-level nooks and crannies so you can see what your dentists sees.
When painful infections happen, we are here for you as well. We provide root canal treatment that will relieve your painand save your tooth! Although always a last resort, if you need a tooth extraction, we offer a gentle, trauma-free technique that provides a better treatment experience with a quicker recovery.
