Our office is equipped with a 3-D cephalometric imaging unit and an advanced intraoral scanner, which can show the precise positions of your teeth and jaw. Based on these images and a visual evaluation by Dr. Ahn, we can determine your candidacy for Invisalign.

Dr. Ahn is committed to patient success and will only recommend Invisalign treatment to strong candidates. If you or your teen are not good candidates for Invisalign, we offer a wide range of alternative orthodontic options.

If you do qualify for orthodontics with Invisalign aligners, Dr. Ahn will need to custom-design a treatment plan for you based on the models of your bite. Then, your design specifications and digital impressions are sent to the Invisalign lab where each aligner is fabricated. Aftertwo to three weeks, you will return to our dental office to receive your aligners and begin your treatment.

At the start of your treatment plan, you will receive all of your clear aligners at once. To achieve optimal results as quickly as possible, you should wear your aligners for about 22 hours a day. They should only be removed for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, and flossing.

You will be ready to move from one set of clear aligners to the next about every two weeks. A new set of aligners may feel tight and mildly uncomfortable for the first few days after switching, but this should subside quickly as your teeth shift into position.
