Having history of your most recent dental visits can be helpful for us to serve you better. Particularly your most recent Radiographs (X-Rays). We always attempt to minimize radiation. Even if we decide to take new ones it can be valuable to compare with previous images. If you have had a Cone Beam 3D X-Ray you may need to have it put on a DVD and hand carry it in. Often the patient must sign a release prior to a previous dentist sending the X-Rays digitally, which is optimal. Please contact your previous dentist and have them send the X-Rays digitally to office@SmileDesignCenter.US

It is our goal to make your visit with us an extremely pleasant one and to send you home with a beautiful and healthy smile.
Your first visit to our office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer as well as introduce you to our caring staff. On your first visit, we will review your medical and dental histories and evaluate your oral health. We will listen to you, your concerns, hopes and expectations. We will take good records of your existing conditions, check your blood pressure and pH, and even do a Live Plaque Analysis where you get to see the status of the Microbiome living around your teeth.
For most patients we recommend a Comprehensive Exam which will most likely be the most thorough exam that you will ever have. These exams take time and a patient should be prepared to spend a few hours for the exam and the opportunity to have a detailed look inside your own mouth to see the conditions that exist using our Dental Microscope. This sets the stage for looking at the options that exist, and developing a treatment plan, which may be at a follow up visit. An initial hygiene visit is usually not scheduled at this time, as the diagnosis of the periodontal status of the patient will determine that best sequence of treatment to optimize gum health. In some situations where the patient is current with their health a new patient exam can be accomplished during an inital hygiene visit.

We pamper our patients with aromatherapy, accupressure for injections, massage chairs, headphones, paraffin hand dips, an organic Tea Bar and more. If you are lucky enough to be in the Beatles room you can experience the Laser Disc Concert Experience. If you are lucky you might catch Dr Brown with the Fender guitar on, singing a tune.
Dental insurance is an important benefit that many employers provide. It is an adjunct in helping to pay for dental services. The dental insurance company has many rules and regulations that are a contract between the patient and the insurance company. If a dentist agrees to participate with an insurance company he is often forced into abiding by the rules and agreements that favor the insurance company and their shareholders over the best interests of the patient and/or the dentist.
We work FOR the patient not the insurance company. On the other hand we are diligent in working WITH dental insurance companies and having patients understand their coverage and maximizing their insurance benefits.
Patients that have dental insurance are happy to see that they can use their insurance to be out of network. We will file insurance claims for our patients and with most insurance companies we will only collect the patients estimated co-pay. Please call our front desk to inquire about your insurance and how we can maximize the benefit for you.
Surprisingly with our technologies we can often save a tooth that another dentist may not be able to, and require a root canal or extraction and additional services. In these situations not being handcuffed by the insurance company, winds up saving not only the tooth but the patients money.

Dr Edwards and his staff are all very skilled, gentle, and truly cares about patient comfort. They pay special attention to the client's individual needs and understanding of any health risks or allergies to insure safety for each individual. They build their own crowns and fit them that same visit if needed.They keep up to date on latest care and exceed standards of care. They are environmentally conscious also. So happy to have found this office.

"Chewing Machine" Savant Dr. Edwards has been my dentist for 13 years and I consider myself blessed. My last week's visit consisted of removing my last amalgam filling and getting a crown. He remarked that he enjoyed making every patient's mouth the most efficient "chewing machine" imaginable. His dental skills are exceedingly above the competition, and he's a perfectionist in his work. I detest needles, but I don't mind the shot when he administers it because you don't even feel it. This dentist uses the latest technology and attends symposiums to keep abreast of new developments. Dr. Edwards has published dentistry articles and spoken at conferences. He and his wife are actively trying to make a difference in their community as well. Dr. Edwards makes the recommendations for your treatment plan, but if you cannot afford it at that time; you feel no sales pressure. He offers alternative solutions that will last until you can get the recommended work done. You are made to feel that "it's all about me" and you do not get the idea that your mouth has dollar signs in it. My dental hygienist is the best I have ever had and I'm 63 so I have had a few. She always remembers my sensitive teeth and has the plastic tools ready. The office personnel are professional, courteous, and are always willing to explain any charges to my satisfaction. They promptly handle the insurance claims and my personal billing. The customer care there surpasses anywhere else. Not only can you get your crown in one day, but you are also treated to a hand paraffin dip and a Beatles laser disc movie while you wait in the Beatles memorabilia room. To put you at ease, acupressure and aromatherapy are used. In addition, you have headphones to listen to your music preference while your procedure is done. Other treatment rooms are decorated in a different motif so it doesn't seem like you are at the dentist. I'm truly grateful and happy that I finally, find smile design dr brown is the best ,everything in his office is all up to date his very considerate and knowledgeable and the best dentist in Melbourne office looks like a spa so it's very calming and the staff is very nice and they are all professional. By far the best dental experience I've ever had. The staff from top to bottom is so friendly and professional with an emphasis on making you as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Dr Brown is exceptional at his profession and is very patient with the individual he is working on. Very professional staff and service. Dr Edward's is very attentive to his patients . Absolue best Dentist on this area.. he created front crowns that really looked great. I have received very good compliments about my new smile that looks natural. My Hygienist Jenny is fantastic. I have seen her fo almost 10 yesrs now. She has performed outstandingly and i can honestly say helped me retain my teeth. I highly recommend Smile and Design.

I wish years ago I would have stopped myself from going into this business. I have resolved a payment multiple times. (with email prof) More than a year has gone by and again claiming I have not paid and my credit has been thanked. From the beginning there were problems with the information being submitted correctly. I had an appointment everything was great, we set an appointment to get the work done. Next week I get there and I'm told suddenly from consultation to that day that my insurance doesn't cover. We settle it because I needed the work done and a few weeks later it's all fine again. I pay my share and the insurance covers the rest. Weeks go by I have to fix the issue again, months go by AGAIN I fix the issue by sending a check in the mail. I hadn't heard from them so I thought it was the end of it until today when I am hit with a collection for an amount that doesn't even make sense from who else other than SMILE DESIGN. This business has been the vain of my existence. I don't even live in Florida anymore yet it follows me. I have gone to multiple dentists and I have never had an issue with insurance. This work was done summer 2020... still being a nuisance. Except this time my credit is fd too Would never be this straight forward but I have spoken with my insurance and I was told all they needed was confirmation from the office. Not to mention that the amounts I'm being asked to pay ARE ALWAYS DIFFERENT and in my email conversations the issue is "resolved". Thank you so much smile design!!!!!!

HONESTLY THE ONLY DENTIST I would ever recommend!! Walk in and Greeted by a team of Great Dentist peeps! A wonderful atmosphere! Open air and everyone is amazing and super relaxed. My last dentist had missed so much in my mouth! I love how at Smile they use a microscope and they are sitting feet away from your FACE!! Any other dentist is all up in your face and will lie directly to your face. Just going on someones word these days is not enough You get xrays? Why not get a microscope mouth Tour? At smile in veira they will show you on TV your whole mouth if there's something at smile they will show you and Prove to you what is your best path of action-- no more talking peoples word!
