I always encounter really friendly people in this office and get great care and attentiveness. I've appreciated being able to talk through my dental issues and things that we'll continue to keep an eye on.

Smile Design is great! They have such a friendly staff and I recommend anyone in the San Jose area to use them if they have any dental needs

Dental work was not great and to top it off they suddenly bill us 3 years later for a visit that they say wasn't covered for insurance - no one told us that and we do not even recall who did this or for what after 3 years - do not ever go here

I want to contact them for follow up and they don't pick up the phone and their voicemail is full so no way to leave messages :/. If there was a way to contact them I would revise.

I bought a treatment on Groupon with smile design for teeth cleaning service. At first I wasn't sure what included in the treatment package. Since it was my first time I got my teeth care after I moved to the US. They explained to me the difference between cleaning and deep cleaning then I realize what I want is actually a deep cleaning not the simple cleaning included in the package. After that the finance officer came in to upsell me their $2000 worth deep cleaning treatment. really!!!!! I know there is nowhere deep cleaning cost $2000 and my teeth condition is not bad at all. I told her I need to discuss with my family since $2000 is a big money I can't just make a decision right away and I will probably come back after I get the dental insurance cover. But she kept telling me the consequences if I'm not taking that treatment and even lead to all my teeth fall out. ( I've done routine deep cleaning in the past so I know my teeth condition and this is not gonna happen on me, my teeth is not worse to that point) Because she will try to intimidate you make you pay or finance before you step out the door. After she told me we can work it out and adjust the price down to $1800. Lol. I REFUSED. At the end, they provided the service for me which what I supposed to get in the package. I'm here to share my experience for what happened today. I didn't have any bad feelings towards them, I understand they are business people trying to make money from their patients. That's it. Tbh, I don't know how much dentist charge for deep cleaning in the US but it seem $2000 is ridiculous to me and my teeth is pretty clean.

Honestly stay away . No appreciation to the patients and their health status. They are thinking about different ways to bring out money from your pocket . I had the worst day there. Dentist was unprofessional with unprofessional behavior and finally I lost my tooth because of failure in root canal . Whish I could give minus stars

The office was very clean and the staff were very informative and able to answer every question I asked . I would recommend this place.

I've been coming to this office since I was a kid and though I've seen numerous dentists over the years , I can say that I've always received exceptional care whenever I need dental work done. Couldn't recommend this office, the front office staff, and dentists more!

I filed a grievance against Smile Design because of their sub-par crown work that was done in the month of June 2018. The crown was finally installed after many delays due to having one contracted dentist assigned to me. The dentist only worked on Thursdays and a few times he was on vacation or sick. This caused me to go without a crown for close to a month. Finally when the crown was put in, it fell out less than two months later in August of 2018. I scheduled an appointment with Smile Design. I confirmed my appointment the day before arriving and according to Peter my appointment was moved without me being notified. I scheduled another appointment for the next available day which wasn't until September 2018. The crown was put in by another dentist because my previous dentist no longer worked there. In January of 2019, Martin Luther King weekend, my crown fell out again. I went to my new dentist, Sikka Dental, and she informed me that my crown was too short and this is why it is continuing to fall out. As per the grievance and investigation by Delta USA, it was proven that Smile Design did not provide proper dental care and produced an ill-fitting crown. Due to admitting fault, Smile Design offered to re-due the crown at their expense. Why would I go back to a place that could not get it right the first two times? Would you go back to a restaurant if you have gotten food poisoning twice? No! Would you go back to a mechanic that messed up your car twice? No! Since I gave Smile Design two separate opportunities to do it right they failed. Sent an email to them about getting compensated for their bad work on March 12th. No response. Send a follow up on March 20th. No response. Contacted Bay Area Response on March 22nd. Received a snail mail letter on March 31st from Smile Design. No resolution. Received a response from Bay Area Response on May 1st. Could not help me. Insurance issue. Contacted the city for Mediation on 5/10. They did not return their call. Now I require a lengthening procedure because they could not do it right. More money. According to a previous post on yelp, this is not the first time. See below. 6/2/2011- Another reviewer * First to Review Do NOT go there. There are no words for how bad the dental experiences were. Wish I could give zero stars. Extremely painful, shoddy work that I have since had to replace elsewhere. I got a root canal and two crowns just two years ago, and have had to redo/replace all three of these things since then! Awful dentist. I believe she has also had her dental license on probation/suspended/nearly revoked (search the state dental board and you will see tons of complaints. I would have done a similar complaint if I wasn't so lazy, so here is a yelp review instead). Imelda M. and 18 others voted for this review Next is court. I will let you know what happens. The saga continues.
