Dr Pham and her staff are great. I needed some emergency dental work done a few months ago and they were very accommodating in fitting me into their schedule. Dr Pham is very detailed in her work. She double checked everything with xrays after the procedure. I just had a follow up dental cleaning which went quickly and smoothly.

Not happy with the wait time!..My appointment was at 12:30, it's 1:30 and the Dr. still not seen me. I hope this is not the norm!!

Dr Kimberly Pham's practice exceeded my expectations!I have always had an insane fear of dentist, so much so that when they removed my wisdom teeth when I was young, I had to be held down and sedated. I needed a dentist because I had this pain between my teeth but hadn't been to one in a while and had new insurance. I got there around 915 and within 5 minutes I got seated and the dental assistant began doing the initial procedure. She asked me some questions about the pain and where it was and took photos. After that I think I only waited about 10-15 minutes for Dr Pham. She was very good at explaining in detail what was found, what caused it, etc. She was very good at making sure that if any pain was getting too excruciating that they could give me more numbing agent . Personally I didn't because from past experiences its an extra charge for your insurance. However the pain wasn't extreme so I was able to handle it. Aside from service, the location and office was beautiful and the front desk assistant was super friendly as was the dental assistant. The little touch I did like was the hook for my purse ( I know girl problems lol). All in all I was in at 915 out by 1045 which included check in , consultation, approval of work to be done, and procedures. I do wish she had a location in LA because that's where my work is and I wont be WFH in Santa Barbara forever. Whenever I am in town though she is definitely the person I will go see. Thank you ladies!!!!

i will be honest in this review because i believe consumers/patients should know what type of a doctor/practice they are becoming involved with and soending their hard earned dollars on. the way dr. pham and her staff treated my husband and i today is unethical, dangerous and ultimately malpractice. we made an appointment for my husband and i for first time cleanings today. i am pregnant and had notified the receptionist when booking the appt that i didnt want xrays. i had also sent in a full set of xrays that were done within the last 1.5 years. she had called back and said they needed to re-take some basic xrays and i told her i would come and discuss with the dentist (rather than a secretary or a hygienist who has no business telling me what is and is not deleterious to the health of my fetus). when we came for our appt, again i notified them i was willing to discuss with the dentist the xrays, but dr. pham refused to come discuss with me. the hygienist asked me literally word for word "what do you know about xray anyways?" and i told her i know all about scattered radiation even at small doses. in fact, this is specifically a topic that we are extremely educated in, as well as the deleterious effects radiation can have on a fetus especially in the first trimester which is where i am. what was the most unprofessional aspect of this experience was the fact that dr. pham was next door to us while we were having this conversation, and could hear us in this discussion, yet refused to come out to talk with me even though i asked at least 4x to speak with her. further, dr. pham is allowing her secretaries and dental hygienists to make decision that could impact her patients on her behalf without supervision. what kind of a dentist would refuse to come out to address a major patient concern like this?! as a healthcare worker you make recommendations to patients as well having risk/benefit discussions so they can ultimately make a decision about their care. you don't leave it to your worker to tell the patient what has to happen without a single word of disucssion. and by the way, according to American Pregnancy "Routine x-rays, typically taken during annual exams, can usually be postponed until after the birth" and "Postpone non-emergency dental work until the second trimester or after delivery, if possible." these are official recommendations people. dr. pham couldve easily come out of her office and had a risks/benefits discussion with me and perhaps we couldve scheduled the xrays for later in my pregnancy when my fetus is not at such a high teratogenicity risk. after the fifth time i asked to talk with dr. pham the secretary and hygienist told me "she is very busy" and "cannot come speak with me." is this a joke?! This behavior is extremely dangerous! with so many skilled, honest and ethical dentists to chose from in the area i shouldnt even be spending my time writing this review but in the spirit of helping others, future and existing patients should be aware of this dental practice and how they are willing to do anything to take advantage of patients and make any extra buck. it was painfully obvious dr pham and her staff were just trying to make some extra money off of us with the xray, but this was at the expense of ruining their own reputation and ultimately losing cash paying customers. sadly some health care providers need to be reminded of the hippocratic oath they solemnly took. luckily we are educated people who will not be taken advantage of in this way, and even more luckily we did not actually receive any care from this dentist; but, i am worried for others who do not know as much about health care matters and will fall for these predatory tactics. How they treat patients and handle sensitive health related issues is not right and somebody has to speak up.

For as long as I can remember, I have always dreaded going to the dentist. I've always been very insecure about my teeth and have been told that Invisalign was not an option for me. Dr. Pham walked me through the process and told me that I would be a great candidate and here I am having almost completed them! I'm so thankful to have found such a kind and caring dentist. She took the time to make me feel comfortable and help me gain my confidence back through my smile. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for something as simple as a cleaning to cosmetic fixes. Book your appointment!
