Taking the time to leave a positive review because this office definitely deserves the shoutout! We recently moved, and finding a new dental office is always a little nerve wracking. The front office staff, hygienist and doctor were extremely friendly and helpful, and my cleaning and exam process was very pleasant.

I came in 10 minutes earlier to have time to complete the paperwork before my 12pm appointment for a cleaning. It was 1:30pm and i was sitting there with the bib and still no dentist, then the dentist came, assessed my mouth and walked out which left me confused. Then this other guy that was in the room came back a few minutes later with a list of things that i did not ask for. I stated that i was there for the cleaning and nothing else and he ignored me and continued to try to up sell me on a paid cleaning and other things that weren't fully covered by my insurance even after I mentioned I only brought my id with me and nothing else. He followed to then tell me that in that he wasn't sure they will do the cleaning i came in for. Not only was I waiting for an hour and a half after my appointment which made me late for work, which was a complete disregard for my time, they also disregarded my wishes and every word that came out of me because they just wanted to make more money. I excused myself and walked out because it was just too much. I cried out of frustration and disbelief with the whole situation in the parking lot. I will not recommend this place

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star!! My first and only appointment I waited an hour and half just to get X-rays done!! I have NEVER felt so ridiculed about teeth in my life!! I came home and literally cried!! They refused to even do a basic cleaning!! Granted I have perio issues but they wouldn't even touch my teeth!! Very unprofessional and hurtful they have NO compassion whatsoever!! Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!! So basically it's better not to have your teeth cleaned at all!! Revised!!! I can not believe that Dr Andrew called me to explain that HE was "hurt" by MY review. He made every excuse of why my appointment didn't go well!! He is very condescending and arrogant he told me I couldn't grasp what perio maintenance is!! Then he went into the real reason he called!! He wanted me to change MY review because HIS superiors see it!! His call only made matters worse!! The entire call was surrounding HIS feelings not mine. Definitely wouldn't recommend this Dr at all!!

I would give 0 starts if the option allowed. Arrived early for childs appointment and waited over 40 minutes beyond scheduled appointment time. If you dont 't mind waiting a long time beyond your appointment time and then sending your young child into the dentist while you remain in the waiting room, this is the dentist for you. See attached photo. Of corse we changed to Dental4kids.

I cannot thank this place enough. They go the extra mile in the work they do. I was worried about a teeth gap and Andrew took extra time to fill it in just so I was satisfied. Andrew was very educated on his stuff and so was the dental hygienist Ana he worked with. He took the time to explain to me proper cleaning and how to take care of my teeth for the future. Thank you so much guys! I feel confident to smile again. Come here if you want to be listened to and taken care of

My mother needed dentures...being a women in her 90's I was concerned that she wouldn't be happy with the outcome and I'm pleased to say I couldn't have been any more wrong! Smile Design Dentistry - their whole staff from dentist to insurance and billing to their front office staff are all top-notch and extremely professional and respectful. It was a wonderful experience for her and though she is still getting used to them (5 days and counting) she could not be any more pleased with the outcome. She has received so many compliments. Thank you to everybody who works at the Carrollwood location for helping my mom smile wide again!!

Haven't been to the dentist in years as was very nervous about going. From the moment I called the entire staff has been wonderful and I can honestly say they took great care of me and I would most certainly recommend them :-)

terrible experience for many years before I moved. another review here stated they never do regular cleanings and I can confirm that. even when I did the best job between regular check ups with no problems, they always performed a deep cleaning that was costly with no options. one of their hygienists (valerie, I believe) was INCREDIBLY unprofessional; her attitude was depressing and she cancelled my appointment twice due to having "personal issues." I asked them to change my hygienist so i would not have any work done by her and they STILL scheduled me with her. after the last cancellation, i heard nothing from them for a year and just this month they decide to reach out to me saying "I haven't made and appointment or rescheduled in over a year." and their billing system is jacked up beyond anything I've ever seen a dentist office have; surprise charge after surprise charge. they tell you what you pay that day and when it's time to cash out, you have something else from a previous visit that somehow didnt get paid for. the next visit, you suddenly have credit to your name. they cant even figure out their finance structure. Go elsewhere. anywhere but here. they don't know what they're doing.

Great customer service fantastic place second time have been to Smile design other location was Springhill. Honestly they are Amazing with children we will continue to go for my 4 year olds check ups every 6 months.

Very upset on how I requested for my child to get the IV sedation, but at the time of the appointment the dentist was trying to do the regular oral sedation. In which I told her since the first visit that my daughter will need to be sleep because I knew she was not going to allow her to work in her mouth. TO TOP THIS OFF, No one provided me any information on the cost for the IV sedation back in January, so here we are in March and now is when they decided to provide me with the information that could of been provided back in JANUARY. Mind you my child is 5yrs old and has this pain in her cavity since November when I first contact them. So the dentist respond was to find another Dentist because she does not have any appointments available until MAY. SO IN OTHER WORDS, SCREW YOU AND YOUR CHILD. Money is not a problem because I am willing to make the payment, My problem is that all of this could of had been avoided if I was given the correct information and documents to request an Appointment for the IV sedation. Now my poor little girl has to suffer until I find a Dentist that does the IV Sedation and that is available.

My son is walking around with a hole in his mouth. This so call dentist places a resin composite on a molar. I asked him to place a amalgam on the tooth. The dentist declined my request. Here it is May 2021. It's hasn't been a whole year since my son received the filling. someone please tell me how a filling falls out.The dentist caused more pain to his mouth and more money out of my pocket. Not to mention this place overcharged me several dollars. Please beware of this company and consult prices with your insurance company before arriving and follow up with your insurance company afterwards.

Dr. Minias handles difficult oral surgery cases for my dentist in Sarasota. I am such a case, and have had prior experience with several oral surgeons. This guy is first class. Calm, reassuring and extremely competent. Highly recommended.
