Such fantastic people at Sarasota! Lucia who greeted me with a smile, my fantastic dentist Dr Phen, Martha, a super compassionate, helpful dental assistant, Nicole my great hygienist and Jessy, who took care of my plan and gave me the best option. The greatest team, all working together for their clients! The Toledo Blade office was outstanding too, special mention to Walter at the front desk! Highly recommend Smile Design!

Overcharging all the time after almost every visit insurance had to intervene because they are charging what they weren't supposed to. The last drop was when I was there for cleaning appointment and was in the waiting room for 35 minutes and no one showed up at the front desk. After that I left the office for good and today I got a bill for no show up.

This office has got to be the best in sarasota. The staff were extremely friendly and always pleasant. Jesse, Jeff and Dr. Hanna were all fantastic and took excellent care of me. They took the time to explain the procedures they were doing and just made great conversation in general. Their work was completely painless and efficient. You can't ask for much more from any medical professionals. I will be returning for all of my future needs. I can't thank you all enough.

From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by Jessy, to the wonderful dental cleaning services by Cyndi, to the gentle dentist Dr. Hanna, you are treated with great care throughout your entire visit. Highly recommend!

Not only is this Sarasota dentist professional, but the dental hygienists, and entire front office staff makes you feel welcomed, and cared for as a patient and customer. The dental hygienists are always very friendly and thorough at Smile Design Dentist on Bee Ridge. When the entire staff genuinely shows care, efficiency, and friendly bedside dentistry manner to go along with the mounted TVs, it makes going to the dentist painless.

I had a great experience today as a first time patient. Jessy greeted me with a smile & we shared pleasantries upon my check-in/discharge, making me comfortable from start to finish. Zenia was also a friendly, personable & professional tech who made my visit a breeze. Dr. Hanna was sweet & informative. I appreciate everyone who took care of me & am grateful for the plan we have set for my smile :)

This place is horrible and they steal from people in desperate situations. We have proof they stole 1105.00 from my sister and won't give her money back. My sister was only supposed to pay the difference of what insurance would not cover which was 735.00. They charged my sister's credit card for over 1800 dollars of which had already been approved and paid for by the dental insurance. This place scams you out of your money by submitting the insurance ahead of time and then telling you that the insurance was denied when in fact it was previously approved and they show you resubmitted paper work which the insurance company at that point will deny because the 1st claim was already approved.They also tried to charge my mothers dental insurance twice when they had received payment for extractions already from the insurance company. They put a fraudulent claim in for another date for the same extractions. Now My mom has to sue them to get the money back and I will be going to try and contact the news station to make every one else aware of this office robbing people. They are a bunch of scam artist who take advantage of elderly and hard working individuals. We will get justice!

Practically painless shots - best I've had in over half a century of dentistry. I am shot-phobic, but I no longer get anxious about Dr. Hanna's (and only hers). No exaggeration to say that a typical cleaning hurts more. I am always treated with the utmost respect throughout the office. My individual (and difficult) medical issues are forefront in my plans-of-care, making it person-centered dentistry. I simply couldn't be happier with the care provided by Dr. Hanna, the entire crew she leads, and the quality of the results - and I've spent a career in quality improvement in public health. - Dr. Dana Keller

People this place is taking people for there money i know they did it to me the work is the lousiest ive ever seen teeth dont fit the job was so bad i cant get the acrylic taste out my mouth cant eat with the dentures they made me and wont give me the dentures my insurace paid for in march so my dentures were paid for twice but i only got 1 set of dentures insted of 2 that were paid for once by my daughter and once by my insurance unfortainately they called me when i was very busy with medical things and when i called them back they would not answer it been more than a week and im still waiting this is very unprofessional of them trying to get this solved but im getting no cooperation from them please i urge you all who read this im not rich or stuck up but now im left walking around with no teeth and its been stressing me out i cry just to think they can do this to me dont let them take advantage of you get second opinions and dont let her file fraudulent claims with your insurance like she did me

This place is horrible for implants, they don't return any emails. They only have you get a CT Scan from their "traveling CT scan provider" and if you want to use your own CT scan provider good luck cause they won't send anything over to them(which is very sketchy to me). They just simply say " you don't need a CT scan order" when every imaging place and doctors office have both confirmed you can't simply walk in and say I need a CT scan for my implant they NEED an order from a doctor or dentist. They are rude and won't even try to do anything to send an order over.

My daughter is 12 years old. We heard that this dentistry was a great spot, so I signed my daughter up for teeth cleanings right when they opened after covid. There was a good discount too. It was fine at first, but then they told me my daughter would need to go in by herself to get her teeth cleaned. This was probably at the third appointment after I had gone in with her in the past. I didn't know this until we drove to the appointment. My daughter had not had good experiences at even a pediatric dentist in the past so this upset us both. But it was a cleaning so no big deal. The next cleaning they wouldn't let me come back with her either. Afterward, the hygienist said she had a tooth that needed extracted and one cavity, and they could do it that day. I said only if my daughter was ok with it. And only if i could be with her during the treatment. The hygienist went back and told my daughter we would be doing it today. I'm pretty sure that is illegal. Then they came out saying she'd have to go see a pediatric dentist who could handle kids because she had been grandfathered in but something about how they don't usually see kids. I had gotten several other bad vibes prior to this. Almost like I was an annoyance rather than a paying patient.

I seriously love this place and I never thought I'd say that about a dentist office for myself. (Going to the dentist always scared me) I first went to them with bad pain from a back tooth which Dr. Hanna was able to quickly resolve. I ended up having a tooth extraction on one tooth and had to get a crown on another. Since the upper back tooth is gone my mouth feels so much better, the crown makes me even happier as it is absolutely perfect! Looks exactly like my tooth looked when I was young, never thought I'd see that again. Lol I have zero mouth pain now and I'm so relieved! I highly recommend them for any problems you're experiencing. Now on to personal things outside of them being able to do magic in your mouth. Lol Dr. Hanna is seriously the most down to earth Dr.'s I've met, and I've worked for a few. She has this calming approach that makes you feel relaxed. You can talk to her and she makes you feel like you have known her forever. It honestly feels like family when you come in. The girl at the front always says "hi Nicky how's your day?" As soon as I come in. She is always so sweet. the Assistants are all so much fun and I always get good laughs with them, which again never thought I'd say about a dentist office lol. Thank you again Dr. Hanna and your team. I appreciate you all so much!

I really like this dental office. Everyone is very nice and friendly. The dentist is thorough, easy to talk to, and provides options for your care. However, be prepared to wait several months for a follow up or cleaning appointment. You can be placed on a cancellation list, which they actively work, but there are no reserved appointments for issues.

UPDATE: Smile Design did give me a credit and apologized for the situation. Beware! I went in for a cleaning and fluoride treatment which is covered by my Humana insurance. Upon completion they charged me full price for both, saying that the "type" of cleaning they gave me and the "type" of fluoride was not covered by insurance. At no time was I told ahead of time that it wasn't going to be covered by my insurance. I feel that this was a bait and switch type of scam, and would not recommend this practice to anyone.

I was ready to leave this office two years ago because the staff was rude and unprofessional. Than I met dr Hanna and I liked her so much and decided to stay. She is very pleasant, knowledgeable, explains procedures and problems and I trust her completely. For Albina and Angela I have only nice words. They changed the staff and the new staff isn't any less rude than previous. They reschedule and cancel appointments without any good excuse, God forbid you need something from them you will never receive it or you will receive it partially , if you are in pain they don't care they will schedule you appointment in two weeks...
