When I first started with Smile by Design it had been over a year since I had been to the dentist. My evaluation suggested I needed 3 crowns and a few cavities along with the cleaning. Because I am on a Medicare Advantage plan very little of the charge for the crowns would be covered. They were charging $1397.00 per crown. Being on a fixed income the crowns would have to be done as I was able to save the money. I negotiated with the office manager for a price of $1113.00 per crown and made the appointment for the first to be done. When I arrived at the office the assistant told me the charge for the day would be $1397.00, I insisted that that was not the price the office manager and I had agreed upon. She excused herself and returned a few minutes later with the note the manager had put in my chart showing the agreed price. Next, the dentist came in and said that because he was new to the office he wanted to do his own examination. After his examination was complete, I was told that now I needed 6 crowns with the charge of $1926.00 each, and the charge for that day would be $1926. I immediately stopped the appointment and said I would have to think about it. I was just about to turn my 79th birthday, and to even suggest to a patient of my age to have $10,000.00 of dental work done was, in my opinion, unconscionable. Had they done the crown at the agreed upon price I probably would have stayed with them, but to almost double the charge was just a little to much!

Office was no help getting me my patient records. Said they didn't keep records of 11 years ago. And note to person answering the phone, tell the person that was telling you what to say she was rude too. Don't go here. Just out for the money

I am so pleased with the recent changes at Smile Design. I felt very comfortable with the staff even when sharing concerns. Dr. Hussein went above and beyond to explain procedures in depth as well as carrying these procedures out with the upmost professionalism. The assistants and Office Managers were extremely kind and helpful.

I dont even remember the last time I have taken the time to review a business, but this location certainly deserves it. The front office management is so friendly, and organized. Both ladies welcome you, and help you out with paper work and scheduling. Katie really goes above and beyond helping with pricing and payment plans. I have hated going to the dentist for so many years, but Louis Graniero (RDH) has changed my mind. He restored my smile to a healthy and clean state, reversing years of poor care. He is thorough and his attention to detail is outstanding. Not only did he have patience, but was delicate and often checked to see how I was tolerating the work being done. He never once made me feel bad or guilty, was so kind and caring and truly so smart. The Dentist, Dr Sharif was such a wonderful and super helpful man! He informed me of the exact services I need, even though I was inquiring for something higher in cost he explained to me that it wouldnt be in my best interest and that alone speaks volumes. My dad, mom, and younger sister all are clients of this location thanks to all the wonderful staff. Although I am moving upstate, I will continue to schedule my appointments every 4-6 months here. They really are worth it. Thank you again to this wonderful practice.

The entire staff at Smile Design Dentistry Land O Lakes made my visit seamless. Checking in was simple. Louis, the dental hygienist, was super gentle and very knowledgeable when explaining what he was doing and why. Dr.Ali was very nice and gave me a few different alternatives for daily dental care. Luis made a mold for a night time retainer and was gentle and quick with that. Thank you all for making my appointment pleasant!

New to this dentist. Due to Covid, I was 2 months past my 6 month cleaning. Would not do a cleaning without paying for a deep cleaning that was not needed. Stated that I have an infection which is why I needed a deep cleaning. Do not even have bleeding of the gums after aggressive flossing. I do not trust this office.

50 years of chewing ice finally caught up to me. The friendly and expert staff at Smile Design Connerton persevered to see me through 6 fillings and 4 crowns. I even broke the temporaries before I finally broke my bad habit. In spite of my transgressions, they were always happy to see me and fix me up. I am very satisfied with the results and grateful to Dr. Ali and all the staff for supporting me during this time. Thank you!

I am a new patient to this office and so far I am very pleased. Very friendly and professional. Appointments have been on time - very little waiting! Which is very important to me.

The staff are super nice and they're definitely on top of appointments, making sure to send emails and call you a day ahead to remind you. It's also COVID-safe cuz you can fill out your info online and wait in your car for them to fetch you instead of a waiting area. I've only met with Dr. Ali and he's AMAZING. He's ridiculously nice, very personable and most importantly, he's great at his job! I had some intense cleaning to get done after being overdue by more than a year, and yet he was able to get it done so gently that I couldn't feel any pain or pressure but still walked out with blindingly clean and spotless teeth. He's also very informative and good at advising preventative care. Best dentist ever!

First time at new dentist office. Staff very nice and professional. Hygienist performed deep cleaning, first I have had in years because other offices were too lazy and said I didn't need them. Dentist smart, did not push unnecessary procedures. Definitely going back!
