Run away, this place is a scam. We were overcharged right from the start, not only more than what my insurance shows that I should have paid but also higher than there own website says! All the quotes for future work are considerably higher than they should be( I checked with my insurance)..some close to double! On top of that the issue we actually went for did not even get addressed!! What a RIP off and a joke! Don't bother asking questions either unless you like rude, sarcastic responses! We definitely will never be back and recommend to everyone to go somewhere else!!!

I wish I could give a 0! This dentist rushed through everything. Both my husband and son had fillings by them and both had pain afterwards. One of the fillings fell out. My husband called several times about the pain and they said it is normal to have discomfort for a few weeks. My husband has never had pain from a filling from past dentists. He went to his 2nd appt. The dentist did not fix the pain. My husband could not chew on that side of his mouth so I called a different dentist. He went and the new dentist verified the other dentist did not do what she should have done. He easily fixed the pain. Not only that but they tried saying we owed $310 for pulp caps that insurance didn't cover. I called my insurance company and it shows that patient is not responsible. Insurance said the dentist was aware, but they billed us anyways. Very sketchy!!! My insurance company called them and the dentist said they would take that off our bill! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!! LOOK AT YOUR PROCESSED CLAIM TO MAKE SURE THEY AREN'T TRYING TO GET MONEY FROM YOU THAT YOU DON'T OWE!!

Went to smile design dentistry for the first time to have a tooth checked that was bothering me the doctor checked it and said it's cracked and needed to be removed which she did with no problems, so now I have my teeth cleaned twice a year and have no problems

We went for the first time today. The staff was so friendly. The lady who took care of my husband was so kind and explain everything so clearly. The dentist herself was very gentle and friendly. I had a good feeling about the place.

This place is absolutely amazing!! All employees were friendly especially Tina. Dr. Patel took her time to listen to my concerns. The office was very clean and professional. I know going to the dentist can be a pain but this experience was actually a pleasure. I will definitely be going back!!

I've been going to this dentist office for years. I missed an appointment that I was unaware of and was charged a fee. I contacted the office and spoke with Diana the office manager to see if I could get it waived due to the fact I've been a patient for years and was unaware that I had an appointment. I was thinking they would be considerate and waive the fee giving me at-least a warning. Diana stated she would talk it over with the doctor and get back with me. Little did I know she was typing up a termination letter. I received the letter in the mail within a couple days without notice. I can't believe the disloyalty of this practice. Diana is not only the office manager but she also answers the phones where you will not be able to speak to the doctor or anyone one else if you have an issue. Thank God there's other local good dentists around where I can take my business too. I would not recommend this dentistry to anyone although I have in the past. Which they complained of them also. I see why now.

Always friendly. I've never had a problem with dental work here. I would recommend. Helpful with emergency dental work, too.

I hadn't been to a dentist in 18 years due to fear and frustration of previous problems with treatments. But I had a horrible abcessed molar that had broken into pieces. A friend recommended Dr Patel and Kristen got me an emergency appointment, even as a new patient. I arrived to my appt scared to death but I left in amazement! My molar had to be surgically removed in pieces, I got a synthetic bone graft and stitches. The only thing I ever felt was one needle in a sore cheek and a tiny pinch of a stitch! Everyone at this office was professional, friendly and caring. Every area of the office is clean and modern. And with such a super and gentle dentist, I am now a patient for life! My fear and frustration is gone. I laughed at the tooth candle in the lobby lol.

I went in for a check up because I've been to the dentist in years. The staff were very friendly polite amazing. They did a full check up went over everything of what I was going to need upfront and gave me all the pricing after my insurance. Told me that I could pick and choose what I wanted to do first based on the money that I had they are an amazing practice and I would recommend them to anyone Dr. Patel is amazing!

Run from this practice. Lies and more lies. I got a horrible crown, paid $850 out of pocket because supposedly I was getting a zirconia one. I ended up with a porcelain/ceramic crown. The secretary told me that my insurance didn't cover the crown that was the reason I was paying that much but my insurance told me that they paid them $475 .when I tried to talk to Dr Patel the secretary wanted me to get an appointment and after being so rude s I told her to cancel an appointment I had for cleaning and she told me" it's ok I will take you out of our system" I'm pretty sure the dentist does not know about this kind of behavior. Secretaries should be kind and respectful.

There is no way they could have a rating of 4.7......, they Charged my Insurance and Myself an Ungodly amount did not do all the teeth that was supose to be done. I tried bring it to the Dentist attention and she said no I had receeding gum, I knew better then that and went home and seen the cavity with my own eye. I wasn't having gum issues Until AFTER they cleaned and worked on me. The price kept changing everytime I went in and they got way more money then they should from Me and my insurance. I'm still being Billed. They are a rip off and it was painful. I would never advice anyone to go there. Never.

I went for my 1st visit twice I told to stay in my car and wait I don't quite understand that I see several doctors all of them let you in the office to stay in the waiting room it was cold and rainy and I waited out there one of the ladies walked in right behind me went in the office then they were in there joking and laughing while I was still waiting on the bench I finally got my vehicle left 10 minutes after my appointment unacceptable

This place is very expensive and will rob your insurance blind, they told me for one tooth being pulled will cost me 583.00 dollars then told me wait I can charge you 368.00. I called around and found Aspen dental and they charged me 126.40 that was with a coupon normally 158.00 which is still better then smile dental. After being jerked around 2 months suffering with a tooth ache. And trying to send me to a oral surgeon which I did not need. I will never go back or recommend this place to no one. And will tell people never go to smile dental in Mount Dora. Call Aspen dental mount Dora in front of Target.

I called for an emergency, I was told they would call back. 2 hours later I call and oh, their busy. Takes 5 minutes for a call, taking my teeth elsewhere

The new account manager is very rude and unprofessional. They also don't know how to code correctly for billing. Don't go here.
