Javier is originally from Peru and while living there he studied dental medicine. Upon his arrival, he decided to continue his passion for the dental world and has been working in the dentistry field ever since. Javier has recently decided to further his education by attending graduate school at Boston College to receive a Masters of Healthcare Administration.

Javier has been a staple at Smile Design Dental since its establishment in 1997 and has greeted every patient who walks through with a warm smile. Javier is extremely charismatic which shows at work because it is rare for a patient to walk in and not ask for him. Javier believes it is important to make sure every patient feels comfortable and leaves happy.

When Javier is not working hard he is an avid food enthusiast. He is known to have a sweet tooth which he finds ironic because he works in a dental office. He likes to try all different kinds of foods and enjoys exploring different kinds of foods that each culture has to offer.

Sonia graduated with honors from Keiser University in Florida earning an Associate degree in Science as a Radiologic Technologist. She moved to Boston in 2010 and eventually decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She graduated from Everest Institute as a dental assistant. Currently, Sonia is at University of Massachusetts Boston receiving her Bachelors of Science in Pre-Dentistry. Sonia is working towards going to Dental School.

Sonia started as an intern at Smile Design Dental and it was no surprise that she was hired as anyone would be lucky enough to have someone as kind and caring with their patients as Sonia is on their dental team. Sonia is highly intelligent in the dentistry field and shares her knowledge with patients as well as her coworkers to ensure everyone has healthy teeth.

Paulina has been in the dental field for over 7 years where she started off as a Dental Assistant. Paulina later graduated from the Forsyth Dental Hygiene program at MCPHS University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. During Paulinas time studying at Forsyth, she traveled to Morocco to provide dental care to the Moroccan community as well as learning about their culture. She maintains her license by taking several continuing education courses to stay up to date with the latest technology and techniques in the Dental field. Paulina takes pride in her high standards of care and making patients feel at ease in the dental chair.

During Paulinas free time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her dog Bentley. Paulina comes from a large Italian family where she learned to cook from her parents and grandparents. She enjoys traveling to visit her family back in Italy as well as visiting and learning about other cultures in the world.

Mariana joined our team in August 2020 and couldnt be happier. She came here from Brazil as a licensed dentist and wanted a position to keep her passion alive. She loves working in the dental field and helping patients learn the importance of whatever procedure she is assisting on. As our newest addition, Mariana has completed our team here at Smile Design Team with her positivity and good energy! She is not only looking out for her coworkers but for our patients as well!
