Dr. Patrick understands what its like to be in the dental chair. He understands the importance of trust and comfort. He has received several rewards for his outstanding clinical work and has amassed hundreds of continuing education credits in the areas of implantology and esthetic dentistry.
He also loves to be involved in the community through volunteering. One project close to his heart is bringing awareness to the lack of oral health care in Meru, Kenya. His team collected data for the local government to lobby for a new dental school.
Born in Taipei, Taiwan and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, Dr. Jonathan Lee received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the prestigious Taipei Medical University, and completed both his dental and surgical internship in Taipei Wanfang Hospital with high honors.
After graduation, he devoted a year in treating dental emergencies for prison inmates and the underserved population in rural Taiwan, gaining substantial experience in emergency root canal and surgical extractions. He was also an active member of the Taipei University Services Overseas during this time, going on mission trips annually to provide dental services all over Asia. He later accepted a job offer at a large group practice and returned to Taipei City, where he became a member of the Osstem Implant academy and Taiwan Operative Dentistry study club. Mentored by world class dental surgeons, he focused his training primarily on esthetics and implant dentistry, placing over a dozen implants each month.
In 2016, he further advanced his studies in esthetic dental procedures at the University of Michigan, one of the most respected dental programs in the world. Dr. Lee subsequently moved to the west coast to practice in Seattle, before eventually settling down in Beaverton.
Dr. Lees passion for dentistry and care for patients is what motivates him to always stay up to date with the current dental techniques and advancements. He is an advocate for conservative, minimally invasive dentistry, and is dedicated to continue serve the community by providing the best dental care possible.

I needed a new dentist when I moved to the area and I've been a patient here for almost two years now. I got my wisdom teeth removed recently and Dr Patrick and staff were attentive and made the procedure go very smoothly! They really put me at ease, despite it seeming like such an intense and scary procedure. Everyone here is always so helpful, kind and personable. Im very happy with my experiences here at Smile Dental!

Hooray! Fabulous place! Dr. Lee explained everything easily to me and we decided on a plan ....to get my teeth in shape! My immediate fillings were a success. So glad I have a new dentist!! Great staff!

Absolutely amazing clinic with the best in class team. Had an urgent appointment at night, called in as a new patient and got checked in within 15 mins. Doctor Patrick is very professional, the communications on the insurance and payments are transparent, the whole process is efficient and they got the job done. Not to mention clean and modern clinic with good taste of music. Highly recommended.

Absolutely horrible experience with Dr. Lee. I wish I could give a lower rating. My 16 y o daughter was lectured by him about having wisdom teeth removed. She was so upset and cried for over an hour after appt. Shame on him for not dealing with issue appropriately. He was more of a salesman than a dentist. I would advise anyone to steer clear of him.

Had a great experience at Smile Dental! The staff was quick to greet and help check me in, the assistant was very sweet and efficient, and Dr. Lee was quick to answer any of my questions, and worked thoroughly and quickly. I have never before been excited for my next dentist appointment, but I'm looking forward to going back and seeing the team. Thank you!!!

I hadn't been to Smile Dental in a few years so I was very happy that I got an appointment so quickly. I was a little nervous about meeting Dr. Patrick and his staff. The front desk guy was very nice and we had a good laugh about my dental coverage. I will say that Dr. Patrick is a great dentist because he made my visit fun with little pain. I will recommend Smile Dental to my friend's and family. Thanks Dr. Patrick and your great staff.

Best dentist I've ever been to! Seriously! Every person I interacted with was kind, pleasant, knowledgeable, and welcoming. From the front desk, to the dental assistant, to the dentist himself it was a 10/10 experience. I had Dr. Jonathan Lee and he was personable but also thorough in his work. He gave me recommendations no other dentist had suggested to keep my smile healthy, and he did not push any unnecessary procedure to be done. The front desk gentleman works very hard, and his energy is full of light and joy. I think it's really important to have someone like him as the first point of contact for a business-- the person patients interact with first. Everyone seemed happy to work there, and it passed off onto patients' happiness. I would highly recommend Smile Dental in Beaverton.

Very professional and accommodating staff. Dr. Patrick was very thorough when explaining medical information was not familiar with and made me feel welcome. My concerns and questions were really taken into account and I was given an unbiased opinion based on my needs. Would recommend!

Just moved here from Texas and looking for a new Dentist for me and my family. Went in for a consultation and the team was extremely professional and kind. Both dentists came in and did a consultation, gave me multiple options and is doing the research to help me move forward with all my dental needs. I was not charged for the appointment and was very appreciative of all their help. Looking forward to having this team take care of me and my kiddos!
