Is a 1988 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He was awarded the Academy of General Dentistrys Senior Student Award for Knowledge and proficiency, the Quintessence Award for Academic Achievement, the Munksgaard Award for Geriatric Proficiency and the American Association of Orthodontics Award. While at UMDNJ he was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society.
Through his dedication to continuing education, Dr. Bencie has achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has received extensive training in cosmetic dental techniques and dental implant tooth replacement techniques.
Completed his undergraduate study majoring in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in three years in 1985. He entered dental school in 1985 at Temple University school of Dentistry and graduated in 1989. While at Temple, he was part of the Orasurgery Honor Society and the Endodontology Society. He also participated in advanced study for Oral Cancer at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA. He volunteers his time to aid those who are in need of the services of Addiction Medicine and Counseling.
Graduated in 1996 from the University of Michigan with honors, and a B.S. degree in Engineering. He went on to earn a Masters of Science degree in biomedical engineering in 1998 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and served as a research fellow in the field of dental materials before entering dental school. Dr. Liu graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2003.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Malfara! He is very kind and takes time to listen and also explains everything. He is very good with treating people with anxiety issues. Rest of the staff is awesome as well. Every time I had an emergency, they fit me in that day.

Fantastic staff. I've gone there most of my life and I really trust the doctors and staff to do a great job for my family and I. They've been there while I've dealt with complicated dental issues, cosmetic repairs, and everything in between. I can't say enough good things about Dr Liu and Dr Bensi. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Perfect for families.

I have Dr. Malfara. Been afraid of dentist all my life because of BAD and painful experiences. He has never hurt me, does excellent work, and made my fear of dentist dwindle.

Tried to make an appointment for an exam and cleaning and they gave me an appointment time only to call back 15 minutes later to say they couldnt see me because it had been too long since my last appointment. My entire family has been patients there for a long time but they did not care. They said they are to backed up because of Covid and i would be considered a new patient.!! Staff was rude and didn't care that they would lose a patient and the entire family! Staff just kept saying "you don't understand" Do they understand they have lost at least 4 patients because of this?

I was very impressed with my experience at Smile Creations. The staff are all very friendly, as well as the Dentists. The office is very clean and well organized. Some night time hours for cleaning, which is a big plus. The initial 2 visits were thorough with identifying potential problem points like gum gap widths(I think that's the term). From there, we went into the cleaning phases and they gave me some pointers on flossing better than I currently do. Went in recently for a drill and fill of a tooth with a minor cavity. I went without novocaine since the whole procedure seemed like it would be pretty easy due to the size of the cavity. They were great with proceeding with care during the process and taking pauses to make sure I wasn't in pain. They got me in the door, processed, and done in 25 minutes! Very nice. I literally can't think of any issues with the exception that they're very busy with lots of clients, so you might have to be a bit flexible with your work schedule.

Been a patient here for many years and have referred quite a few people. The actual dentistry done is great, and the building is clean and up-to-date, however, it is the staff who really make SC stand out. Always friendly and caring, I never feel rushed or "like a number." The business has built-up quite a bit, so appointments are not soon, but they are definitely worth the wait!
