The St. Martin, Iberia, Lafayette Community Action Agency, Inc., or SMILE (as it is widely known by its popular acronym), serves as the primary provider of social services in our tri-parish regions of Louisiana. Chartered as a 501 (c)(3), tax-exempt corporation in 1968, the central office is headquartered in Lafayette. This year, the Agency celebrates its 49th anniversary.
SMILE operates under the administration of Chief Executive Officer Craig A. Mathews. He oversees a managerial team that includes the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Director of Services, Director of Human Resources, Director of Grants/Communications, Director of Affordable Housing Development, and three Parish Managers.
