Dr. Daniel L. Pedersen is a Newport Beach native who has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry in this area since his graduation from USC Dental School in 1987. After 20 years of perfecting smiles at his former practice, Country Club Family Dentistry in Newport Beach, Dr. Pedersen decided to open Smile Central Dental so that he could offer his patients an even higher standard of care.
By utilizing the latest technology and equipment available, Dr. Pedersen is able to provide gentle and proficient dentistry at affordable prices. Further, he prides himself on his cosmetic restorations and achieves amazing results by offering his patients the finest materials in veneers, crowns, onlays and implants available.
In addition to his invaluable expertise gained through decades of well-practiced, hands-on dentistry, Dr. Pedersen continuously builds his knowledge base by attending continuing education classes and seminars.

Great experienced dentists. I feel that I am getting sound dental advice from a seasoned dentist; as opposed to being a client to sell to. There is not the hard sell at Smile Central. I like that a lot.

Dr. Pedersen is very knowledgeable and experienced doctor. I love to come to visit his office. Everything is amazing about this place. Tricia she is my Tooth Fairy. The way how she clean my teeth nobody else did. My teeth never looked better before. Jason Pedersen at the reception very nice and kind, always friendly and have a good mood. He always deal with my insurance and it's seems he can do it so easy. Also, you might see a beautiful art on the walls. It's Dr. Pedersen other son's work. You can just stop by to see it. Last time the shelf art mesmerised me and I couldn't leave. Everyone is so talented in this family. I want to recommend this place for others, but afraid it will be more difficult to schedule an appointment for future. They are already busy. My husband and my father in-law Dr. Pedersen's customers as well. They love it! Thank you for taking care of my family!

Dr. Vickerman is the best dentist. He's very patient and has a great sense of humor. I wish I had found him 30 years ago but he is definitely correcting the mess the last dentist left. He has found a way to make it pain free. Worth driving 23 miles out of my area.

Dr. Pederson is an amazing and smart dentist and very good at what he does. I have an extremely hard time going to the dentist, but after leaving his office I feel so relieved and happy about the treatment. He talks you through and makes sure everything is painless. I would recommend him over and over again.

Shady. The ordeal that I went through here is extensive, but just beware that they submit info to insurance companies inaccurately to attempt to game the system. In spite of the administrative incompetence, I highly doubt that it's an innocent clerical error. Non responsive to inquiries requesting an explanation. Avoid this place if you can, and you probably can. Edit: interestingly my review doesn't show on Google. Very shady indeed.

Dr. Welcome is "THE BEST DENTIST " Ive ever had!!!! Ive been seeing him for 25 years+. His is practical, thorough and extremely up-to-date on new technology and treatments. He's extremely professional. The best thing is his shots don't hurt . I can't tell you how many times he's fixed OTHER dentist mistakes on friends and family.If you are not a fan of dentist then you will be of Dr. Welcome. I also wanted to say that the staff at (smile Central dental ) are amazing super easy to talk with and very accommodating. If you need a good dentist then go!
