Dr. Joy Jen earned her Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Georgia and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical College of Georgia, now known as Augusta University Dental College of Georgia.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and Northwest District Dental Society. Dr. Jen has an eye for detail and a passion for providing honest, quality dental care.

Awesome service from the moment you walk in. It pained me to leave my dentist of 30 years, but they have made me not regret it. They have a small town, homey feeling environment. The techs, receptionist, doc are ALL 5 STAR!!!

Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. The new Dentist and hygienist are all great!! I highly recommend this place. Also Sherry is awesome!!

Seen within 5 min of appointment, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Made a guy who is scared of dentist and suffers from military PTSD feel welcome and safe. Wish I had known about the practice sooner.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Smile By Design. Everyone was so welcoming and hospitable. Sherie was so kind and helpful while checking me in and Dr. Joy was very kind, gentle and explained everything very well. I would definitely recommend this office for dental work!

Tosha is the best hygienist in town! She does an excellent job cleaning my teeth. She's gentle with the entire process. I've really enjoyed Dr. Jen is a fabulous dentist! She is so kind, professional and interested in you and your family! Sherry is the most knowledgeable and caring office assistant!! Thank you for taking good care of me and my family's dental needs for the past 40 years!

I've been going here for several years. This practice has been through a lot of changes but I really like the team that's there now. Competent and kind! Of course the 1 constant remains, Sherry at the front desk, she's awesome!!

The staff was friendly professional Anna kind. These ladies work well together it feels like family. The office was beautiful and clean. My temporary came out and they reset it quickly work no fuss. Thank you for making me feel like o matter.

I grew up in tbe '50s so I've always been tense in the chair! Otherwise Dr. Schnare and his associates are fantastic. The artwork is a nice touch.

I came to Smile by Design for a second opinion. First of all I'd like to give a shout out to Cherie. She is a phenomenal asset to this business. She helped me get all of my x-rays transferred over from the previous dentist within a day. She also had me set up for an appointment within a day. Ronnie made me feel so comfortable through the x-ray process. Dr. Jen was fantastic! She listened to my concerns and we came up with an action plan together that would be cost-effective and get the job done. Thank you Jesus for this office! I highly recommend. They give a personal touch!
