I joined Smile By Design in 2010, starting as a dental assistant. With over 11 years of dental experience, I now lead the office under Dr. Chois direct supervision. Fluent in Korean and English, I love interacting with all the wonderful people that come through our doors. My first priority is caring for our patients. Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband. Whether its finding a new spot to eat or traveling across the globe, Im always looking for the next adventure. I also love coffee and coffee loves me.
I joined Smile by Design in 2011 as a dental assistant who has a background in dental laboratory technology and now, as a registered dental Hygienist, I became our very own. I love spending one-on-one time with patients and educating every about oral health & hygiene. Dentistry has a special place in my heart and I have a passion for helping patients achieve a healthy smile. I live with my husband in Huntington Beach, but can be found all over Southern California doing anything from hiking, paddle boarding, snowboarding, playing volleyball, and riding beach cruisers.
I graduated from a program called ROP and became a registered dental assistant in 2014. I enjoy working along side Dr. Choi and ensuring our patients feel comfortable and leave happy. My favorite part of dentistry is seeing the positive life-changing results that cosmetic dentistry can provide for patients. I enjoy lifting weights, traveling, doing all things outdoorsy with my Siberian husky, Bubba, and trying new restaurants.

1. Though I put in the notes that I am expecting, they still took me to x-ray. I told them I don't want to do it. What if some other lady in my situation doesn't know X-ray is not good for the baby. Why did they take the notes then ? 2. There's a lady to help the doctor. I think she's a doctors apprentice or something, she just let the doctor do the exam, and she's telling me everything about what to do and others. I went there to see doctor and hear from him, i didn't go there to talk to a nurse. She overtook the conversation with doctor. Though I read this kind of review in other people reviews, I still went there. BIG MISTAKE. NOT GOING BACK. I was there for the doctor , NOT THE NURSE.

This particular hygienist was unprecedentedly rough and rushed, missing a whole section of lower front area. Skipping some procedures. I say "unprecedented" because I have never encountered such treatment at Dr. Choi's office in nearly 10 years. By any standard, this person was NOT at all professional. At first I thought she was a new receptionist and was surprised she sat down to clean my teeth. Maybe she was an apprentice who needed supervision, but there was no one else in the office.

Been a long time patient of Dr. Choi and the rest of the wonderful staff over at Smile by Design Dental Group! He's drastically improved my quality of life and has been able to pull off procedures where other dentists had essentially given up or recommended I go with more costly or less than ideal solutions. From routine cleaning to dental implants and more, he and his staff go above and beyond to make sure you're well taken care of, and that you're comfortable during your time there as a patient. Would definitely recommend!

Today I got 2 implants with bone grafts from Dr. Choi. The one on the upper left was a particular challenge as the jawbone was paper thin. He has the most recent technology, and he's had many years of experience. I trust him completely.

I can't say enough good things. Dr. Choi is straight-forward with his proposed treatment plan and what's best for the health of my mouth. Whether it's removing a wisdom tooth or filling a cavity, I know I'm being taken care of. His staff is always courteous and friendly; they talk to you like real people. Any questions or concerns I have, they will take the time to talk with me and explain it in simple terms. I will definitely be back.

I went here for a consultation referred by my general dentist to see doctor Choi. Dr Choi spent time to thoroughly examine and explain to me options for treatment. Front staff was also professional and friendly. Thank you for your time -Mimi -

My favorite dentist's office. The staff is super friendly and I feel like I can trust Dr.Choi 100%. I've been to a handful of offices in LA and NY, but I feel like my bridge and root canal procedures were finally done right. I also come here for my cleanings and the hygienist is awesome. Highly recommend!

Dr. Choi office is truly one of the best I have ever had experience. I am so glad that I got to know him many years ago, the office staffs are wonderful and very friendly and their professionalism is the greatest. At Dr. Choi's office I have done implants, fillings and other dental care all was with great experience, also my wife and children are getting all their dental treatment by Dr. Choi's office. I highly recommend Dr. Choi and his amazing staff.

Dr Choi is cool, calm, collected and very professional. All of that really helps because I hate dental work. We started with some easy procedures and will be working up to the more complex, but so far, so good! Everyone in the office is great!

Negative experience due to office staff who do not return calls, do not pass on messages, do not send promised emails. We've received treatment once, dentist is fine; tried to set up subsequent appt, but there is zero followup.

Due to Covid symptoms I never made it in The office was very accommodating to reschedule but I still missed my appointment Slept right thru it Will try to see if they accept me for implants when fully recovered in health
