He got his DDS degree at 1984 and then the special children dentistry training from 1989 to 1992, and moved to California at 2002. Dr. David Khandabi is a board certified Anesthesiologist, who earned his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine. He has been awarded a certificate to practice Anesthesiology after completing a four-year residency training in Anesthesiology at the USC School of Medicine. Prior to medical training, he completed his undergraduate work with a bachelors degree in neuroscience at the University of California Los Angeles.
Currently, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at the UCLA school of Medicine where he enjoys teaching both medical students and training resident Anesthesiologists. He holds certificates in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Dr. Khandabi has a special interest in office-based Anesthesia practice and is particularly adept in bringing hospital grade Anesthesia services to an office setting. As such he has been awarded with both a General Anesthesia and Dental Anesthesia permit. These permits allow him to bring to life his unique Anesthesia skills to an office setting such as the one found in a dental office.
As one of the worlds most respected periodontics experts, Dr. Sam Gilani has provided consulting services to residency programs and universities around the globe. Dr. Gilani graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1988, earning a Masters in Oral Biology before finishing his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) with a specialty in periodontics.
From 1989 to the present day, Dr. Gilani has enjoyed a long and successful career as a lecturer and clinical instructor of undergraduate periodontics at his alma mater. Shortly after beginning his career as an instructor at UCLA, Dr. Sam Gilani also became a member of Cedars Sinai Medical Centers teaching staff in 1992. I went to see Dr Vafa as my good friend recommended him.At first I had a good experience and I finally thought I had come across a dentist that I could actually trust, one that was not just after my money. Much to my disappointment Dr Vafa was preparing me for Invisalign treatment and he told me I had several cavities and an amalgam to remove and re do. The treatment would cost about $1500. I proceeded to get 2 other opinions from other professional dentists and they BOTH found that I actually had ZERO cavities AND that if I removed the amalgam on my tooth which was in perfect condition (there was no need to remove at all) it could actually compromise the tooth! I wrote his assistant Claudia a couple of emails which they never responded to. I made an appointment to discuss these findings with Dr Vafa thinking he could explain to me what had happened, They gave me the appointment, but while I was there he actually refused to see me unless I paid him $180 for the consultation which they never asked me for by phone. This was ludicrous and I had tried to actually give him a chance to explain but he did not even bother to see me for a few minutes. I don't trust him at all and recommend you get second opinions when you go see him as they seem to exaggerate as unfortunately most dentist do in the U.S.

Been going here for years. Everyone is always very friendly, fast, and thorough. Plus, they never try to push or hard sell any unnecessary procedures. And they never scold me for not flossing enough, but definitely want me to floss more. ;-)

Dr. Vafa is the best! He is a truly excellent and thorough orthodontist. I started seeing him around November/December because of long standing TMJ issues and related teeth shifting that has been going on for a few years now. I'm about 5 months into Invisalign treatment and everything is on course and going really well! Big improvements. He is careful to evaluate my progress every 1-2 weeks and always makes helpful suggestions & recommendations along the way. He is gentle and very easy to talk to and has a calm, comforting, and professional demeanor. In general, the office is also very relaxing and clean. Staff members Claudia and Abby are very knowledgeable and always very warm and accommodating. They are always on time with appointments, and make scheduling very easy via text or call. I'd recommend Dr. Vafa in a heartbeat to all of my friends and family.

The dentist and hygienists are very professional and kind. They made me feel comfortable. The hygienist didn't rush cleaning my teeth and she did a great job. The first time I came I knew I would keep Dr. Vafa as my dentist. All of the staff are welcoming and there is usually no wait! They do not overbook. I highly recommend!

I came to Dr Vafa after a previous dentist had quoted me for a massive amount of unnecessary work. Dr Vafa did a more thorough examination and concluded I needed a fraction of what I had been previously told. But there was a particularly problematic wisdom tooth which the previous dentist did not seem concerned by. In the end I needed 2 widsom teeth out, 4 fillings and a crown, instead of the 5 root canals I had been previously told. I have a severe phobia of needles, so Dr Vafa's office put me in thouch with their regular anaesthesiologigt (Dr Boshra Iravani), who was able to put me to sleep with a gas before attaching the IV to keep me asleep. So I was never aware of any needles being used. This is perfect for me. Very little pain from the extractions, certainly a lot less than I have previously had.

Dr Vafa and his staff are the best!! I had a toothache that was giving me a headaches for days. It was an emergency and the girl at the front desk was able to make an appointment for me the same day. As soon as I got there they had me on the chair and there was no long waiting. The doctor had the girls take a few X-ray and next thing I know I was having surgery to remove an infected tooth that had a crown. He numbed me good that I didn't even feel the needle or the surgery and after almost a hour of surgery and some hard work by the doctor and Claudia they were able to remove the tooth. The whole time they kept asking me if I'm ok and gave my mouth small breaks so I can relax cause god knows I was scared. The doctor was so nice and professional. Hands down received Hollywood treatment and now I see why he has the Hollywood Star that was given to him hanging on his wall. He is very highly recommended!!

Dr Vafa. Is AMAZING. From making the appointment with great customer service. To a smiling face when arriving to the office. I've always been afraid of the Dentist. But Dr Vada and the staff make you feel so welcomed that you're at ease the whole time. Dr Vafa is extremely thorough in explaining the procedures to be done that he also gives you a piece of mind while making sure that you're comfortable through out the whole process. Will definitely continue to come for all my future cleanings and procedures for me and my whole family.

Dr. Bruce Vafa has been my dentist now for over 15 years. No matter what city or state I move to or currently live in I still make yearly annual trips to see him for all my dental care in Beverly Hills, California. I now drive six hours at least each way from Las Vegas, Nevada and back for the day just to see him for dental appointments. I've had horrible experiences in the past with other dental practices and trust Dr. Vafa completely. Not only does he do an amazing job but he and his staff make me feel so comfortable and treat me like family. I wouldn't trust or go anywhere else. I recommend and have brought my family, friends, and clients to his office and they were all quite happy and satisfied with his work. He is the best dentist ever! I smile because of Dr. Vafa's dentistry. I had a horrible dentist prior to finding Dr. Vafa's office. The dentist I had prior to meeting Dr. Vafa, pulled out a perfectly good tooth because he couldn't find the reason why I was in pain and could not fix any other problems related to my dentistry. Prior to that, a military dentist shattered my front tooth due to their incompetency, and replaced it with a Maryland bridge which caused my front teeth to look blue and fake. I had the appearance that the teeth we're rotting due to poor oral hygiene. I was so self-conscience of this that I was afraid to smile for about 20 years. I was blessed to meet Dr. Vafa, who corrected the problem with a beautiful natural looking bridge. Once again I can smile and feel great about myself. Dr. Vafa is the only doctor I trust to do dentistry on myself and my family. Thanks again to Dr. Vafa and his office staff that have now made my dentistry journey a pleasure.

Dr bruce vafa is one of the best in town. He's so knowledgeable and he knows what to do. Their staff are really nice and cool also their office is so clean. I would definitely recommend you to choose him as your dental doctor . Most of their patients are Hollywood stars and celebrities therefore you'll be in love with him and his services.
