'Sometimes our teeth fail us. Whether you had abnormal facial development, irregular hygiene habits, or poor access to dental care, all of these factors affect what happens to our teeth. I am no exception.
Growing up, I was a goofy kid with a big sweet tooth and a severe overbite. I would eat candy and drink soda throughout the day and whenever I had the opportunity. A great orthodontist was able to correct my overbite. However, due to my love of candy and soda, multiple cavities were uncovered when my braces were removed. This led to multiple root canal procedures and crowns with various general dentists.
Through the wide spectrum of dental treatment I have experienced, it inspired me to become a periodontist. And just because I am a periodontist does not mean I have perfect teeth; I continue to smile because of the dentists and dental specialists who have helped me along the way.
Dr. Jeffrey Hsu received his D.D.S. degree from the USC School of Dentistry and followed that with a general practice residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry. After practicing general dentistry for a year, he decided to pursue his certificate in Periodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was also afforded the opportunity to treat patients at the local Veterans Administration.
Dr. Hsu has developed skills in dental implant surgery, periodontal surgery, and site preservation procedures, including soft tissue and bone augmentation. Since the field of dentistry is continually changing, Dr. Hsu stays up to date by attending courses and participating in various study clubs.
Regarding patients, he believes in providing quality dental care and working with both restorative dentists and other specialists to optimize patient dental treatment. In addition, he prides himself on communication and making sure no patient gets left behind.
My job as office manager is to make sure patients are taken care of through great service and seamless workflow in the office. I enjoy creating and implementing systems that make the office run smoothly, leading to great overall patient experience, care, and service.I enjoy making personal connections with patients and helping them get to their best smiles.
As a dental assistant for the past few years, I mostly strive for patient comfort and care. Some of my duties consist of: Welcoming Patients into our futuristic office, Providing important Dental information and feedback, and also making sure patients are comfortable and safe at all times. On my free time I like to stay active, such as going on hikes or playing indoor volleyball and basketball

My dentist referred me to Dr. Hsu for some periodontal issues. I was very impressed how clean and technology advanced the office is. Dr. Hsu is very caring, gentle, knowledgeable and professional. My gum infection problem got much better after deep cleaning treatment. For the first time, seeing dentist is not a nightmare any more Kelly and Peggy are super nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy dentist because it is really not easy to find.

BEST DENTIST EVER! Dr. Hsu is extremely nice and knowledgable. His hands are super gentle, which makes cleaning such an enjoyable thing. Peggy and Kelly are also super friendly and professional, providing the best dental services I've ever experienced! If you're looking for a dentist, look no further! Their brand new, clean, and high-tech office will make you want to stay for additional treatment!

Smile Again Periodontics is a very unique dental office compared to the other dentists I've been to. From the first step through the door, the office looks more like a relaxing spa than a dental office. This definitely helped calm my nerves before my surgery. This is a very technology forward office. The check in process was easy and contactless. I really appreciated that I was able to get my CT scan in their office instead of having to go somewhere else for the scan like my other dentists. Dr. Hsu is gentle, knowledgeable, and patient. He really took the time to explain the treatment and to answer all of my questions. I will keep going back to see Dr. Hsu!

I was schedule for a implant surgery today, but the crown of the tooth next to the implant area broke two days ago...Dr. Hsu x-ray that tooth and recommended to have the crown replace ( I got a referral for that ), I'd express my concern about getting that crown replace before the implant, and Dr. Hsu understood my concern and help me all away to assets my situation...I have to re-schedule my implant, but the main relevant result is the fact that Dr. Hsu showed his professionalism and concern about me, not the numbers like others. I'd ask them how much I have to pay for all their work so far, and the answer was "nothing"... working in the customer service business, I can tell when a genuine an professional people is treatment me! ... than you Dr. Hsu and crew, THANK YOU ! Modern and up-to-date equipment. I am able to instantly see what's going on with my teeth on the screen in front of me. Dr. Hsu is professional and detailed. This was the most pleasant dental visit by far.
