Smile Adventures Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is a Vista based dental practice that caters to the dental needs of children and the orthodontic needs of children, adolescents, and adults. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care using advanced dental equipment. We are board certified specialists that offer services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, braces and more. We also perform emergency dental services for children.
Dr. Burns completed her dental training at the University of Southern California where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After dental school she received additional training in hospital dentistry/special needs dentistry at the University of Washington.
Dr. Burns received her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Rady Childrens Hospital through the NYU Langone pediatric dental residency program. During residency, she was selected to serve as a chief resident for the program. Currently Dr. Burns is an attending pediatric dentist for the residency program and is a member of the medical staff at Rady Childrens Hospital.
Dr. Burns is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). She is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), California Dental Association (CDA) and American Dental Association (ADA) and San Diego Dental Society.
Dr. Burns was raised in San Diego, where she attended Ranch Bernardo High School. She is excited to be a part of the community she grew up in. Dr. Burns is married to her best friend and is a mom to two energetic boys. When she is not working at saving the world one tooth at a time, she enjoys baking, camping, and convincing her boys that she is a LEGO Master-Builder.
Dr. George is a Southern California native who was born and raised in Los Angeles. After graduating from college, Dr. George attended the prestigious University of Southern California School of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). He then went on to complete his Orthodontic training at the University of Southern California where he also received a masters in craniofacial biology. After completing his training, Dr. George moved to San Diego and has been practicing here ever since. Dr. George has been published in peer reviewed journals for his research multiple times and has won many awards for his scientific achievements. In addition, Dr. George is currently clinical faculty at the pediatric dental residency at Radys Childrens Hospital and is in charge of the programs orthodontic curriculum.
Dr. George is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the Califorina Association of Orthodontists (CAO), the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO), and the San Diego Dental Society.

Great pediatric dentist office! Everyone is nice and the dentists and hygienists make the kids feel comfortable. We always had short wait times and the office is very clean.

We love our dentist! I take All 3 of my kiddos here and they have always been so quick, so caring, so efficient! My son is 2 and they made it very easy for him and brought us into their "baby room" which is a couch and TV room that they use to examine the littles so they aren't scared in the chairs. My older kids love going here too! Dr is so sweet and informative. Always making sure my questions are answered. Great play area in the waiting room also!. Very nicely decorated through the office. Great office staff! I could Go on and on about them! We love you smile adventures!

Smile Adventures is amazing! Going to the dentist is terrifying for any child, my child loves going to the dentist because they make her feel comfortable and safe while getting her teeth worked on. The staff is AMAZING! Thank you Smile Adventures

My son had his first visit on Friday and we loved it! The girls made him feel special right away. Initially I thought my son would have a hard time with x-rays. Much to my surprise it went smoothly. My son has severe ADHD so he was squirmy, talked a lot, and he couldn't help but touch EVERYTHING. The RDA and Doctor were so patient with him. Thank you so much for treating my son so well. He didn't want to leave lol. You need to bring your kids here. Your child will have a great experience. I guarantee it.

Always feel confident in the care we get here. All the employees are sweet with my young kids. They were able to get us in the next day for a chipped tooth after my toddler had a tumble, and they filled it so that it's not noticeable.

My 5 yr old needed a cavity filled. I wanted his experience to be a good one so he will want to continue a life long history of taking good care of his teeth This office was the best! They have super high tech equipment. The laser they used for the filling was amazing and very quick. No shots needed for numbing the area. As well as the office being super clean, they had it decorated for Halloween that could have come out of a catalog photo shoot. The staff was exceptionally kind even though we could only see their eyes through masks, I could tell they were smiling. I recommend this office to even "big" kids who are afraid of the dentist.

This place has thought of it all, and then some! Everyone was warm and welcoming. The bright decor and play area drew my son right in! He is only 13 months old and this was his first dental experience and it went great! The dentist was so patient, and even went as far as singing to him during his exam. We look forward to our future appointments!

Beyond!! Words can't even describe what an incredible experience your kids will have or what amazing care you'll receive!! My kids are all obsessed with going to the dentist- to the point we can't even drive down Melrose without them screaming to go to Smile Adventure Club! I couldn't recommend an office higher. It has now turned into a whole family affair, as my little brother, and all my nieces and nephews have switched! They're that good guys. Gentlest touch, the cutest office (which they always have decorated for the current season!), sweet prizes.. what's not to love?! 2000/10 guys!!

Dr. Christain and staff are AMAZING! My daughter had her first dental visit and it could not have been better. 19 months is a difficult age for this, but they handled everything beautifully. The doctor sang to her as she was doing her cleaning, and did it efficiently and quick. They gave her the toothbrushes we buy (which are our favorite!) and a cute little pillow for her first appointment. Our daughter had a great experience and didn't want to leave the fun waiting room when we were leaving. Thank you again!

Always the most professional service here. My daughter has high anxiety at the dentist and they have worked so well with her that she can now sit through her entire dental visit without issue. Highly recommend this dentist!

We brought our 3 year old here for his first dental exam. The waiting room was such a clean, fun, and spacious area. The minute my son walked in, he was so excited to play. The staff, and Dr. Lin-Burns were all incredibly kind, accommodating, and patient. Dr. Lim-Burns saw a cavity after viewing x rays and reviewed treatment options, pros and cons, we were able to come up with a plan right away. There are tvs on the ceiling and they were able to put on a fun show for my son to watch as he got his exam and cleaning. They offered so many choices of flavors for cleaning which was so fun- my son chose marshmallows. After the exam was done, he got to pick a prize from the treasure chest, got a goody bag, and a ballon. Thank you for making our son's first dental experience so welcoming and positive!
