I don't often leave reviews, but this seemed like a good moment to do so. The second star is because this dentist office used to be a good one. I went there for several years, liked how friendly they were, and recommended others who liked it as well. The one star (which is really the current situation) is because they are highly disorganized, which is never something you want in any business, let alone at your dentist. I had to walk out in the middle of a filling. I've never done that before and I hope to never do so again. There was a combination of errors and incompetencies (repeated miscommunication, understaffing, non-functioning equipment, visible stress shown by the dentist at what they were dealing with) that basically made me feel so unsafe I wasn't willing to stay. I discussed this with the assistant, then the dentist, then the office manager, then the retail manager by phone later. Each of them brought the next person in (not at my request I really just wanted to leave) which was good that they cared enough to make sure the problems were understood. No one really denied the issues showed an overall sense of chaos that made my response reasonable. By the time the retail manager had called me I was even willing to go back the next day just to finish the one filling, if they could really say they'd be operating well this time. They couldn't say that. For some strange reason the dentist suddenly wasn't coming in the next day. Perhaps one day they will be a well run office again. For now I would advise staying away.

Unfortunately, I have to warn about coming to this practice. I had had a positive experience with the hygienists and coming in for routine cleanings and check ups. Then, I needed to get a small filling done (my first ever), so I trusted this practice and thought it would be fine. First off, the dentist they assigned to me was not a regular staff there and was this was changed last minute. When I arrived, they seemed rushed and backed up and this ended up affecting my appointment. I told the dentist this was my first filling and I was a bit nervous, she asked if I ever had novocaine before I said not that I can remember. The dentist proceeded to give me novocaine with epinephrine and then left the room (she was dealing with other patients and it takes a few minutes for the drug to take effect). Within those few minutes, I proceeded to have what felt like a panic attack. Shortness of breath, nausea, room spinning, fear and anxiety. No one was in the room with me (doctor or assistant/hygienist), and I was left alone for probably 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, my mouth is numbing and I can't call out for help. When the doctor finally arrives back, I am in tears and terrified at what just happened. She responded that it is normal that some people have an adverse reaction to the epinephrine in novocaine. I was appalled that the doctor knew this information, knew this was my first time with this drug, and left me entirely alone, suffering. This is unacceptable protocol at a dentist's office. I proceeded to have the filling and it was painful, as the drug was wearing off because of the waiting time and whole ordeal. I will never be returning here again, and I would highly recommend you find somewhere else with a better trained and more professional staff.

The place is really old, there equipment is a little scary. I got a few cleaning and it was really a torture, they did it with an old stool that was really irritating but the worst about the place is the roots canal they did to me, I had to wait for a specialist for month and the guy did an horror job, I had to see 3 different specialist to fix his mess, the Dr remove to much of the rOots canal on one side now I have to get a bones crafting to fix it and the second canal omg!! he didn't removed everything so I got infected, now the infection travel to my leg and I am waiting to have an emergency surgery in the next days coming up. I can barely walk, the antibiotics that I am taking are causing worst sickness... and this all mess is gonna cost me around $10000. DONT GO TO THAT DENTIST!!!

I would highly recommend Smile a Bit to pretty much anyone. I have never been to a dentist before this and they made me feel so safe. They were gentle with me and didn't push me to a point of discomfort. Dawn was fantastic and I cannot wait for my next appointment with her

YIKE! WATCH OUT FOR THIS PRACTICE!!! This is updated almost 6 months after my initial visit. The first minor issue was after my first visit ever to this practice they informed me that they didn't accept my insurance (after two phone calls PRIOR to the appointment). The lady at the desk told me it was $189 for the visit. When I protested she announced there was a special for first time clients of $89. During this initial appointment they cleaned my teeth, took xrays, and performed the exam which resulted in me needing another appointment for a crown and bridge. When I went back to the office for the crown/bridge work they lost my xrays and had to take a second set (Oh oh). The bridge/crown work was done painlessly and everything went as explained. Less than a month after installation (for lack of a better term) the bridge fell out on a Saturday!! It was miserable as the exposed teeth were ground down for the bridge and everything that I put in my mouth gave me pretty intense pain. When I called the practice Monday they informed me they couldn't help me until Tuesday when the dentist who put my crown in was back in the office. When I pushed they finally get me in for a "temporary" replacement of the bridge, but the woman dentist was NOT happy and stated I could have waited until my dentist was back in (which for me was four days later due to my work schedule). The crown has now been in for five months. So what made me update my review? Today I receive a call from the practice telling me I owe them $21 for the xray they had to take with the bridge install!!! I told her I paid for everything when I had the work done, and I certainly wasn't going to pay for an xray taken due to their negligence, at which point she said it was their mistake and they would remove the balance. O. M. G. Do yourself, and your teeth a favor and stay far away from Smile-a-Bit...

DR Syed is an excellent dentist. Was so surprised by the professionalism and pride he takes in his patients oral health. Dr Lee is as well a great endodontist and made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions before and after my root canal. I am very pleased with the final restoration and will definitely refer friends and colleagues to this office. The manager Terri is wonderful and works with your insurance to help maximize your benefits and reduce your out of pocket expenses. Best Dental office I've come across in the Hudson Valley area.

I've been coming here for probably 3 years and Dina usually cleans my teeth so i was bummed when she wasn't there however i met Bridgette yesterday and she was very sweet. I particularly liked that she would explain what she was doing as she did it. No ones ever done that during a cleaning before and i always appreciate a good explanation. The doctor hadn't arrived for the day yet so I didn't get to meet her or get an exam which i thought was a little strange but as for the cleaning it was excellent. I've never seen my teeth so white. Great work Bridgette!
