Dr. Michael Ho is originally from Taiwan but spent most of his childhood in Singapore. He attended Northwestern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Dr. Ho then went on the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with High Honors and was one of the few students selected for membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the National Dental Honor Society, dentistrys version of Phi Beta Kappa)
Dr. Ho is an active member of several dental associations, including the San Diego County Dental Society, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also enrolled in continue education from Spear Education and the American Academy of of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Tian Yuan grew up right here in sunny San Diegos North County and is so excited to be settled down back in her hometown. After graduating as valedictorian from La Costa Canyon High School, her studies took her to the east coast, where she graduated from Duke University and continued on to received her doctorate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tian then moved to Arizona to complete a general dental residency along with Dr. Ho, where they provided dental care in a public health setting to the Navajo population.
Her eagerness to further her dental knowledge drives her to be an active member of the California Dental Assoc., American Dental Assoc., Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. She chooses to take well over the required number of continuing educational hours to become a better provider for her patients. Dr. Tian strives to provide ideal, patient-centered care regardless of their backgrounds.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tian enjoys singing, cooking, exploring the city, fostering cats, and dabbling in new hobbies. She and Dr. Ho enjoy spoiling Roary with days at the dog beach and Corgi meetups!

Very friendly receptionist and very clean office and dental area. Both doctor and nurse are very knowledgeable and professional. They really care about their patients. Make excellent and very appropriate recommendation for your teeth conditions. My wife and I recommend highly to bring your family and friends to the Smile dental office. I left the office with a lot of smiles .

Smile./4SRanch provides professional, caring and kind services. If it were possible.. I would fill the page with stars! They provide comfort while receiving care and provide the latest technology and equipment. Every associate creates an office of friendliness. The office is superior and maintains an environment of cleanliness, sanitation and disinfection. The office associates help with any questions, filling out forms, and working with insurance companies.

I came in for a general dental cleaning and Dr. Tian noticed I had adhesive residue from my braces removal over three years ago. She offered to remove it with no additional charge. I am impressed by the thoughtful service and attention to detail. The office is modern and the staff was very friendly. I had a wonderful experience and will certainly be returning for my future dental needs.

Dr. Michael Ho is really good! He makes you very comfortable. He is not just a truly Dentist but he has good heart the way I talked to him. He is truly takes care of his patient. Dr. Yuan is great - she is super thorough and takes her time to explain what she is doing and seeing. The office and equipment are nice and look new/well maintained. They also have a tv on the ceiling so you watch tv while getting your teeth cleaned!

I highly recommend Smile Dentistry in 4S Ranch. The doctors and staff are amazing and just as important the care they give is terrific. I also noticed they continue to upgrade their equipment, which I appreciate. The last two visits were during COVID and I feel confident in the measures they have in place.

Excellent Practice!!! Just had my initial exam and first cleaning with them, They don't scare you with procedures you may or may not need. Honest and friendly. Highly recommend Dr Tian and the staff was super friendly and upfront with cost estimates and patient responsibility.

I had wrongfully avoided getting my regular cleaning for over a year... #PandemicIssues Today, Dr.Tian & Dr. Ho made my return to oral hygiene very pleasant and safe. Everyone, from Ian at the reception to all staff members, very attentive and kind, even though I was late to my appointment! Totally recommend!

I like the friendly and efficient staff. The dental work is thorough and the doc is sharp. She knows how to convey her thoughts without being scary and let's face it, going to the dentist can be scary. Glad we found them!
