My son had a cleaning at Smiles 1, and Karen was extremely patient and thorough while demonstrating the proper way to floss up under the gums and under his permanent retainer... yes, he needed this reminder to not rush or skip. Thank you Karen!

These are by-the-book professionals. The staff takes everything they do seriously, and it shows. They also pride themselves on their COVID-prepardness, which earned them extra recognition. You may agree with good reviews on this place, but I had a couple of problems. 1. I needed to pay to replace X-Rays that, by then, were less than a week old and focused specifically on a tooth that needed help, with existing consensus with a prior endodontist. While I understand anything could happen to a tooth between visits, there was not a good reason to insist on new images for a known, well-defined problem. 2. The business added a $15 fee for COVID overhead. I signed and paid on one appointment to order a nightguard. When I go pick up my nightguard, I was charged $15 to go in, pick it up, and leave, all in fewer minutes. I paid $15 for what could have been a no-contact experience of me just grabbing the nightguard from outside the door. I willingly paid the cancellation fee for my last follow-up, because I didn't want to pay a new fee when the last payment could more wisely apply to that visit. They invited me to come inside to pay to cancel, and I did not have to put on the single-use plastic gloves and feet-sock things they have by the door that time. So basically you can ignore the COVID restrictions if you need to cancel an appointment over the fee...? Maybe you'll have a better experience, but I'd keep looking. I got "cash-grab" vibes.

I would recommend smile one dental to anyone. They are professional and respect my time. They worked with me to fit my schedule after a few conflicts came up. My hygienist Lauren was fantastic. She is very friendly, meticulous and knowledgeable about her job.

Dr. Kim and her team have always been a great dentist to come to. Giving credit where it's due, they have always been very friendly and efficient when dealing with my dental care. I would always just go in for my regular cleaning, and the team was always so caring and ready to get the cleaning done efficiently so that I can go on with my day. Today however, I had a pretty bad experience with them. I had a scheduled wisdom teeth removal which did not end up happening due to out of network insurance concerns. I was not made aware that the $3000+ dollars would be coming out of pocket and I wish this concern would have been brought up earlier by them considering that I have been with them before. And when mentioning that we would be "reimbursed" by the insurance at a later date since they would claim it, the lady at the front and Dr. Kim was using phrases like "usually" or "most of the time will get reimbursed" which already was not reassuring. When my father said to the front desk that he wished he knew that this would be out of network before hand, Dr. Kim proceeded to shift the blame on me claiming that she has "given me documents recommending other wisdom teeth removal places." From my understanding, I was never given such document, as the only thing I have left the place with is receipts and my bag of tooth brush goodies. I asked her how this was given to me (ex. Through email, document, etc). She never gave a clear answer and proceeded to blatantly lie about it since I know that I have never been given such document. She claimed that she could show me what she was talking about, but never ended up doing so and just ended up leaving the desk without saying anything with my father, the lady at the desk, and I. We ended up deciding to just cancel our appointment , which is fine, but is a little upsetting since I have always enjoyed Smile one dentist up until the way they treated me today. To top it all of we had to pay the $50 broken appointment fee, which I get is part of the policy, but to end it on that note after the way I was treated and the way my father was already disappointed, leaves a bad memory of them for me. To sum it all off, Smile One dentist has been great in the past in my experience and I would never have a problem. But after today, I do not feel as comfortable going back at the moment. If they would like to discuss any misunderstanding, I am always open to talk.

Dr. Kim and her staff rocks. The office is always clean, has the most up to date equipment, peaceful and beyond that everyone is very attentive and professional.
